Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. If Ambar didnt complain about Sun, maybe the scene was right.
In fact, Kali bursting the door look funnier that anything Sun did in this season, it show how changing some thing make for a comedy moment right?
Also, I like to thing that Kali and Ghira were the Sun and Blake on their time: Ghira seen to be awkardly social like Blake and want to protect her while Kali seen to be the free spirit like sun.
And about Sun, what he said that sure Blake can move away to protect other but they will try to find her and help her no matter what she do, so whatever happen to them is their responsability.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I mean, it's not like we're supposed to think she's right. But she does actually have a little more leeway because she had someone tell her to her face what they were planning on doing and then actually saw them do it. Yes it's stupid, but that doesn't mean it isn't understandable, at least not for the situation.
And at this point people complaining about people not liking Sun is almost as bad as the complaining itself. So long as no one is starting long, heated arguments about it people are entitled to their opinions.
Except she isn't. She's got Sun, her parents, and they're probably going to find some like minded individuals they can trust to get involved. The "We" in "We're going to take it back" says it all. She's not planning on doing this alone.

It's weird that Jacques so far is the only parent not enabling. Ruby left and Taiyang trusted Qrow to follow, Yang gets ready to leave and he only asks where she's going, doesn't try to talk her out of it or go with her. Blake went off to join the White Fang in another region, came back, and is now planning to take the WF back. I know RWBY are the main characters, but I expected at least Kali and Ghira to voice some sort of protest, or at least broach the subject before Blake did.
I guess 3 out of 4 of them are 18 and free to go where they please. But in a world teeming with monsters (and currently on the verge of a civil war) their parent's reactions to this behavior seems a little off.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Overall, this season has been a real mixed bag; we had a lot of good lore dumps and whatnot, but it doesn't really feel like anything has progressed at all. Blake's storyline is the only one that actually felt like a proper character arc while everyone else's just kinda...meandered.
I mean, we went a whole season and they're still not in Mistral.
And yea, I agree on them toning down Cinder way too much far too quickly. It's mostly likely an attempt at an Author Saving Throw against the people who accused her of being an Invincible Villain (I refuse to use any sue tropes), but now they're going too far in the other direction and making her look almost helpless.
So eh, I'd give this season a 5/10; I know there's one episode left but I can't see much happening in it beyond RNJR beating the Dullahan and a reaffirmation that the rest of team RWBY are heading for Mistral.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah, that was weird as hell.
Also, s funy seen how Jacques acuse Ironwood of stealing Winter from him, I beat he saw in her a lot of potencial, actually I think that is why Winter atack Qrow: she pretty much saw James as father figure and Qrow was being a dick as usual.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Re the way taiyang gets off the door: that’s how I used to shift out of leaning on things when I had sick abs and was an athlete with really good control of my body. Basically let the lower body deal with center of balance then let the core take care of the rest. It made me feel like a weird spider creature.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterSince the capture plan seemed to be poison Ruby. I would imagine that there was probably a set location with a means of getting back to Salem quickly since it would be problematic for them to send the guy using poisons after her if they had no way to get her back to their hideout without risking her being killed in transit from poison.

Well, they were in some sort of training ground, and Tyrian was having an epic freakout with negative vibes galore. I don't think that regular beastial grimm are allowed to wander most parts of the palace at will.
Though it'd be kind of funny if they were. Makes me imagine Emerald and Mercury wandering around having JRPG style random encounters all the time. Going to the kitchen to grab a snack? Fight three beowolves on the way. Headed to the board room for a meeting? Ursa shows up in the halls. There's also the rare encounter with a Seer (where you have to sit there and wait for it to flee the battle, because it won't attack you but if you attack it, it summons endless waves of boss-tier grimm).
I doubt he needed to poison Ruby to kidnap her. Ruby's not bad, but Tyrian was able to take out the entirety of RNJR by himself without even using his tail, and then fight on even terms with Crow. Slap RNJR around, give Ruby a Tap on the Head, tie her up and stuff her in a sack or something. Ruby's already been shown to be relatively helpless without her weapon, so....
That would mean Mercury, Emerald, and the rest of Salem's posse have to remain in perfect emotional stability at all times = ie, be completely inhuman.
Or that it takes Tyrian-level freakouts before the Grimm really pay attention.

Presumably it took a Tyrian level total breakdown for the grimm to actually attack him rather than just kinda sitting there passively. That being said, Grimm did try to attack Cinder and co when they were on the streets in Breach, so Salem clearly doesn't control ALL grimm, she just is somehow able to control some of them.

Is that really the case?
To me it seems like Salem controls the level of Grimm aggression by her mere presence. The ones killed by Cinder are obviously there for her to train, but no attack occurs between Salem's appearance and Tyrian's breakdown. She has left shortly before the latter, so that Beowulf's self-preservation - combined with the sheer amount of negativity - went haywire.
She can't control all Grimm, which is why she has a Seer relying her orders, somehow. Presumably there might be multiple Seers.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterHeres the thing about the backpedaling on Cinder
I think its less they made her too invincible and more the made her too much of a Villain cause at this point its clear Cinder is in a Crowd she is realizing its not all its cracked up to be.
Praise be to the absolute Queen

Gotta love how Blake is now doing a "one woman war against the White Fang" by the way.
