I can't see them hyping this guy all season and using him as a cliffhanger twice, only to just have RNJR bail from him and that's how the season ends.
Not only would it be a letdown but it would completely different from all season ends so far where the immediately situation is always resolved, even with a hint of more stuff to come later. They've never ended a season with an actual cliffhanger before.

I suppose it makes sense for the situation to be resolved here and now, but in that case the tension must be appropriately high. Someone must get injured or die or, failing that, cavalry - at the moment only Raven qualifies - shows up in the nick of time. Perhaps both.
If it just gets punked like Grimm from earlier seasons, well, that would be a real disappointment. For the record, I'm happy with Grimm performance this volume; Beringel puts up a nice fight, Geist requires strict teamwork (not unlike Nevermore and Deathstalker in Players and Pieces) to be overcome and Sea Dragon takes a ship to the face before finally expiring.
Nuckelavee will need something really intense to top those.

Just watched the episode. Don't really have too much to say about it other than the fact that it felt really short despite being average length. I'll just chalk it up to not a lot happening.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! That's weird, usually not a lot happening makes an episode feel longer...though that may be dependent on pacing.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I dunno. Out of four RWBY plotlines, W and Y are all but finished (Y could be shown making a choice whether to go after Rubes or Birb Mom). Assuming the last ep is 30 minutes long, that will be divided between RNJR vs. Nuckelavee, Oscar's Excellent Adventure and Blake's Anti-Adam Ploy (with a hint of Cinder & C.O?).
Of course, we can be shown a variety of things such as Winter at Mistral, Raven doing stuff, Taiyang being sad, Neo (hopefully) making a reappearance...

To be fair, Adam's actions at the end of the last Volume are still being felt. If Adam hadn't shown up then, this Volume would have been very different.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! But this episode was basically just setting up our heroes meeting up in Mistral without knowing it. Which is cool, it was handled well enough.
But now I'm a bit confused, Adam is still working towards Salem's goal, but he plans on betraying Sienna Khan, but Salem sent Hazel to make sure things were good with Sienna Khan. Did we miss something here or is Adam just trying to do his own thing while also keeping in line with Salem's plans?
Or maybe stuff on the phone, excuse, "scroll", is just an elaborate ruse.
I wouldn't put it past RWBY. The show has never had a finale without a deus ex machina or something out of nowhere solving the problem for them as opposed to them knuckling down and winning through their own hard work and skill in the eleventh hour.
Season 1 had Penny, season 2 had Coco's team, and season 3 has silver eyes.
And while I'm certain someone will bring up some point of defense, probably with how that stuff setup future stuff, I just stand by my belief it doesn't make for the most satisfying resolutions in the present story.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.Series' finale confirmed ending with Salem suffering Disney Villain Death. Possibly Evil Queen style.
Only sometimes postsI'm pretty sure they'll beat this super Grimm somehow.
We've had Ren and Nora's personal vendetta against it established, Qrow's survived long enough that it'd be silly for him to die, they're in the ruins of Ren and Nora's old town after Ren picked up his father's arrow in said Grimm's cave, and we have nods to Juane being interesting in Tyrian's eyes along with an opportunity to give Ruby a chance to show off the Silver Eye power.
So I mean hey, it should be fine, right?
Season 1 had Penny, season 2 had Coco's team, and season 3 has silver eyes.
Thus, this season will have Super Saiyan Rose: http://imgur.com/a/1UUfe
Psh, what's next? Very Determined Jaune? Compost King Oscar? Burning Pyrrha?
So... Nuckles (unlike Kevin, he don't chuckle). How come only Ren seems to be able to see it while others can only hear it?
Some crazy potato theory from Reddit seems to suggest it's a little like a Potterverse Thestral, though it's not just "can only be seen after seeing someone die" (all of RNJR would be able to see it then), but "can only be seen after seeing a loved one die".
Ren definitely had seen his dad going down against the Nuck.

Then again, apparently the first notes of it also played during the first Grimm scene in this volume, so perhaps it's been reattributed as Grimm's general theme.
Anyway, there's a few ways the fight with a Nuckelavee can go.
Also, notice that we haven't yet seen the main body of Nuckelavee, just its heads. For that record, how did it sneak upon them where only Ren could see it?
EDIT: Also, my earlier theory with Grimm that shouldn't take on such unnatural forms dies right with Geist's first appearance, so... >.> Yeah, Lusus Naturae has likely just been repurposed for Grimm.
