Like, come on RT. You could have easily made it so Yang took off the parts she was spraypainting to do them.
Also, does anyone else find it funny that this revealed that Yang's Ember Celica is literally colored via spraypaint? Like, Remnant must have some AWESOME paintsealer, because the way Yang fights would annihilate most varnish/enamels for paint.

Ren's always been written as Lie Ren in full forever...and the fact Nora doesn't want to call him Lie still basically makes perfect sense because they met very young and it's Nora.
"I'm Lie Ren."
"Your name's Lie!? But, but-that's a bad thing, and you're so nice! I'm calling you Ren."
"..."
Plus Monty basically went "Plz fuck off on how Weiss isn't pronounced by German pronounciation rules", so another simple rendering of a foreign word/name by English convention would not be unexpected.

The name Ren in Japanese is probably just a coincidence, given his name is a bit of a transliteration for "hunter" in Chinese
, which is definitely what they were going for.

Vuther: Ren's symbol is a Lotus' flower.
Guess what the more common Kanji for the Japanese name Ren (蓮) means?
Also: Not every German person pronounces Weiss as "veize". Like, I've heard my friend, who was born and raised in Germany, talking and she pronounced "Weiss" the same way people in the show do (and she wasn't talking about the character either).

You got me there.
...I still pretty much expected his last name to be Ren though because waiting 4 seasons for anyone to ask "Why is your personal name Ren if it's the last one" and then explain Mistral has a different naming convention would be far too much compared to him just being Last-Name Basis.
Yes, that's a part of his Split Personality thingy. He did that at Ep. 2 as well.
- Salem seems to be losing patience with Cinder and Cinder herself is having trouble with keeping her power from blowing her up. That said, punching through a Beringel is a feat already.
- What did Salem say to Tyrian before the "I am disappointed" bit? Something about an eye? And man, he lost it pretty hard there. Cinder looked terrified.
- No M&M's, boo.
- The way Taiyang moves off the doorway just gets me, for some reason. As for Yang, I presume she is going to go after Raven after all. We've had shots of angry Yang in the promotional material before.
- Klein confirmed best butler. Winter's stuck in Mistral for reasons unknown (Watts shenanigans? White Fang?). Jimmy has found a bad time to impose closed borders. Point to Jacques, doesn't look like he has even flinched at the fact that a giant military cyborg almost snapped his desk in two.
- That said, I hoped there would be more resistance put up by Schnee household to keep her, unless something is in that passage. Then again, now that she's not a heiress, I don't think she matters that much for Jacques or SDC.
- Regarding Ironwood, he seems to think he's in control in this situation ("muh two seats"), but I have a startling suspicion that even if so, Jacques can make his life hell with ease.
- Sun seems fine and he's talking sense into Blake. Yay. Yang being mentioned in that conversation to keep the tease going.
- And Kali is the most adorable cat ever, yeesh. Ghira just seems like he wants to get this over with.
- So it seems Adam is fully on Cinder (and Salem's)'s payroll at this point. I like Blake's decision here, but what does it mean? I assume the whole thing is going to happen at Mistral (that's where Sienna is, right?), but what of the two fox dudes?
- Renora comes just in time for Ren to have PTSD. No wonder; Nuckelavee looks absolutely terrifying.
Hm. Weiss and Yang's plots seem resolved by now, so I kinda imagine we would have RNJR, Oscar and Blake in the last episode. (with maybe some Cinder thrown in)
EDIT: ...you know, those first few notes of Lusus Naturae in the credits have me kinda worried if Grimm are even supposed to take on such unusual forms.

It's pointless if it just exists for the sake of existing and doesn't contribute to the narrative. That's part of what leads to quirkiness for quirkiness sake.
Not that I'm against him, to note. More just the idea that any unique trait can't be pointless.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.Well, his theme is meant to be the Seven Dwarves, so I guess his thing is meant to be related to that, what with Weiss being Snow White and all. I think it's not super relevant, but it's also not distracting enough to be an issue.
Not gonna lie, I laughed when Kali fell through the door. They oughta get better hinges for those things though. Also, Nuckalevee Grimm for final boss it seems, with team RNJR having to fight the thing. I know everyone's been calling it for every major fight, but I suspect at this point that Jaune's Semblance will probably manifest as something healing or protection focused, since with Qrow out of the picture I'm not sure what other ace in the hole there is to use.

Lusus Naturae? Is that the name for the Nuckalevee Grimm? Where'd you see the notes? I looked in the credits and only found Klein's design and some area notes.

Oh I DEFINITELY think it's most likely they did not think about travel times at all.
But with Cinder's place being in a mysterious~ location and portals existing, that's one case where we might get a decent explanation later.
