Director and writer of Drakengard and Nie R. Has a habit of writing very strange, dark and morbid stories that end on depressing notes. Also his public persona currently is him wearing a skull mask based on a NieR character (Emil)

A corpse should be left well enough alone..."Has a habit of writing very strange, dark and morbid stories that end on depressing notes."
Is he connected in any way, shape or form to Gen Urobuchi? 'cause what you said sounds an awful lot like the Urobutcher.

I watched Renegades React for a while but ended up stopping. Besides a general lack of energy, I feel like a lot of their analysis is based on missed details and trying to sound smart, but of course since the analysis is based on nothing, it sounds the complete opposite of smart. Micah's got interesting insights, but gets overshadowed by the other bros being wrong and/or weeaboo-y.
Agreed on Murder getting a bit too OHMYGOD-y lately, but it is also good fun. When I'm watching a RWBY episode normally, whenever a holy shit moment comes up, I smile internally thinking about how Murder is going to explode.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twitter@Black Sun Ncoturne: Similar, but he's more influenced by Berserk and Evangelion in his works.
Tappei Nagatsuki is considered to be the George RR Martin of Japan, though...
Watch SymphogearThe guys at Blindwave are going to be watching Pv P next,so that should be fun.

One slight way. The instruction to the artist of Drakengard 3 when making the Intoner sisters was allegedly "Think Madoka". That being said, their writing styles are quite different. For one, by Nie R, Taro Yoko would put alot of black comedy into his games, especially in Drakengard 3, which is essentially Berserk meets Madoka, meets Rick and Morty. Taro Yoko also focuses alot on the ideas of how the morality of people's actions go deeper than what they seem to be on the surface.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...renegate react: I like them more in epic rap battles or a least I would like if they stop naming all guys at first since its annoying, or reaction I usually prefer to see specific moment like Adam cutting Yang hand(for what I see a lot of people were cocky about she kickig is ass) or thing like that in order to test how other seen certein scene.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
And because Rooster Teeth spent like 2.5 years in real time setting up a very standard Academy of Adventure style formula only to shred it in the span of 4 episodes and kill/maim several major characters.

Beacon's an Extranormal Institute, not Academy of Adventure. :)
There's a fair amount of overlap between those two tropes as written, though yeah, Beacon's definitely more towards the Extranormal Institute side of things.
Incidentally, any thoughts on that theory I put forwards a few pages back? My theory was that both Ozpin and Salem are agents of the Gods (or maybe just one of them, with the other having been either slain or injured, hence the broken moon), intended to bring about the end of the present epoch of the world as part of some sort of Vicious Cycle. Ozpin however has gone rogue and is playing a stalling game, which in Salem's view accomplishes nothing other than prolonging the world's suffering, hence her shaming him in "Divide" while also seemingly working towards either the end of the world or a violent reshaping of it. That's an accusation I suspect Ozpin has no good answer to, hence the secrecy about Salem and the true nature of the creators. If Salem's subordinates are aware of this, perhaps they have been told (truthfully or not) that for assisting in restoring the natural order of things, they will be allowed to live on into the next iteration of the cycle.
Naturally our heroes will find a way to break the cycle, and possibly Punch Out the Celestial Tyrants who subject their creation to such abuse. Possibly with the help of whatever celestial entity the broken moon represents, probably either the absentee God of Dark or a third entity, which I strongly suspect is the origin of Ruby's silver eye powers.

Honestly, that sounds way too Killer 7 for my liking. Metaphorical chess games
between abstract concepts with no definite end (cough) cough Dark Souls (cough) never really grab me.
And now that I say that... sigh... Ozpin does use chess metaphors, doesn't he...
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!So all together these relics have the power to reshape the world or alter reality or whatever, but what do you think their individual powers may be?
Also, after finding out all this really makes you wonder how the Maidens fit in and why Salem considers Cinder the key to their overall victory.

Okay, so they're Creation, Destruction, Structure and Choice.
Creation: Well, making stuff.
Destruction: Destroying things. Kind of like [[Miraculous Cataclysm]].
Structure: Possibly protection stability, or maybe to reshape things.
Choice: Hardest to tell. Conceptual freedom? Another possibility for reshaping? Ability to select destinies?

Funny thing is now that I think of it, a few names from Drakengard 3 would work within RWBY's color-naming rule.
Zero's real name is Rose, Centnote and Nero from the manganote
Plus, each of the intoners already has a color themenote
