True, but it's definitely a possible interpretation, and in my opinion the one that fits best with Ozpin being so damn secretive that doesn't feel contrived.
I don't think Ozpin is secretly evil, though I wouldn't rule that out entirely* if the cosmology ends up being heavily influenced by Gnosticism as I suspect it might be based on the creation myth Qrow just told us about, and the implication that we're not getting the whole story in regards to just about everything we've been told thus far.
* As in I think it's possible, but not especially likely.

Thing is, right now the picutre is not pretty good for Ozpin, there is two song were he is show as callous and fighting a secret war using other people, and while those are villian song, is not better for the good guys since they barely know him well(I mean, neither Qrow or Ironwood seen to know that much about Salem), and them is Oscar...
I mean, nobody is saying Ozpin is evil, but he is done some shady thing, how much is the real question here.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
Qrow and Glynda are in the know presumably because Ozpin doesn't trust the headmasters to handle everything personally, and maintains a network of other agents, one of which is Qrow. Summer knows because, due to her powers, she was intrinsically involved in the same way Oscar is now involved whether he wants to be or not.
As for Raven, who can say. She may have found out on her own, and I get the distinct impression Cinder did as well, since sacrifice implies she's a Fallen Huntress, and I'm inclined to think the opinions she expressed in her Do Not Adjust Your Set rant regarding the Huntsman academies and Ozpin were at least partially genuine.
That may also extend to Watts if that off the cuff theory about him being a Haven professor or even the Headmaster are true, though if the latter is true, he presumably found out about at least some of the things Ozpin hides even from the headmasters.

There is thig: what we mean about knowing?
Because, Ironwood know about the brotherhood(is part of it) and the maidens(maybe the machine was build by Atlas? probably) but not much about Salem, Qrow seen to know about Salem as Raven but only that.
the more we know about Ozpin, the more the brotherhood look like secret circle of secret, damn a this point I will joke Ozpin is dark angel player
Qrow knows about Salem to the extent of "she's our enemy", not much more (which is a place where it's very, very obviously Ozpin is holding back), and that's probably true of the other headmasters; Ironwood, Qrow, and Ozpin did reference a "her" in their discussion at several points who probably wasn't Cinder given the context. Only Ozpin and possibly Salem and co seem to know about his Body Surf thing, given Qrow has no clue where Ozpin is.

Yes, but the "her" referenced in that line almost certainly was Salem, not Cinder, which implies Ironwood has clearance similar to Qrow and Glynda.
We debate whether or not there'll be a Cosmic Horror Reveal / Going Cosmic arc ala Xenoblade Chronicles or His Dark Materials (or Bloodborne) at some point in the future now that we've started bringing cosmic entities and creation myths into the setting along with fairy tales that are actually true. Also we argue about whether Sun is a sex offender again for about a page.

Also, im on the opinion that Cinder is a fallen huntress and is the way of adapting her role as cinderella: instead of being a princess, she wanted to be huntress them she saw or know something and change sides, in this case Salem is the fairy goodmother and Ozpin the princes
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"So much lore dropping...yea, I'm kinda exhausted of them at this point lol.
But anywho; it's interesting tho, I don't know what else to say until we get more clarification.
And yea, they really need to stop pushing Sun as comic relief, it just feels unnatural and awkward and ruined what was actually a pretty good moment for Blake.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.![]()
That would be bog standard reincarnation rules, and I'm not convinced, chiefly because of Ozpin's apology to Pyrrha mid transfer which likely implies he knew something bad was going to happen.
Enlisting the help of Glynda and Ironwood before they left would be a start.

They are, but given how heavily compartmentalized information in Ozpin's inner circle seems to be, they're basically headless chicken without him; Qrow admits he really doesn't know what to do without Ozpin around to call the shots.
I wouldn't rule out Qrow knowing about Ozpin reincarnating, but I think it's more likely than not that he doesn't.

About Sun: the problem is that right now he is the wrong kind of funny guy, Sun is like Johnny cage or Barry, the guy who make awfull jokes and try to be funny even when thing are serious like in the fight with Blake, instead they are using as the clumsy guy who comit mistakes, that sound better for Jaune since is thing but as Im guessing, he cant be that chararter anymore.
anyway, I think Sacrifice have another line regarding Ozpin
"All your faith in ancient way/make you trap inside a maze"
this make Ozpin look like Yoda in is flaw: it thinks in term of ancient good and evil, which is good in a great scale but it can come as....awfull for the simpler soul.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Oh yeah, one line in particular in "Sacrifice" just became, way, way more significant as of the exposition we got in this most recent episode.
"Show them gods and deities, blind and keep the people on their knees."
Incidentally that particular line was a big reason I theorized Salem's motivation was some variation of Rage Against the Heavens.
If the song is indeed written from Cinder's perspective directed at Ozpin as I suspect, that is VERY telling.
Hell, the entire first Stanza makes a ton of sense if its directed at Ozpin given the foreshadowing for his Body Surf / Reincarnation Immortality.
In terms of time, I'd place it right as Cinder kills Ozpin given it opens with "Close your eyes now time for dreams, death is never what it seems."

Also, there is a thing: Salem concuil is not much diferent than Ozpin: we have Tyrian who is clearly counter Qrow as the agent who move, we have Hazel who like the Glynda(pratical, dosent waste time atacking Cinder) and Watts who look like the Ironwood.
it also fairly divide as they distrust Cinder and they dont see to know exactly what it happen....yeah.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"If Watts is the Ironwood of Salem's circle, him being the Headmaster of Haven would work even better, considering the most likely explanation for him turning on Ozpin is him having learned about at least some of the Awful Truths that are kept even from the other headmasters on his own, and Ironwood definitely was the least inclined of the inner circle members we met to trust Ozpin.
