for me him being absuer just undermined the whole "extremist and deflector" narrative he have with blake, sounding more like bitter ex who dosent get her ex like blones more.
And I like him cutting Yang arm and how much of a fuck he gives about that(none) I like him in how overthetop he is.

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Surprised that after the shit Jacques and Whitely pulled, they're labeled as friends and allies.
Time to fix that.
As far as screentime division goes, Oscar gets ~3m 43s, Weiss gets ~5m 10s, and RNJR/Qrow get ~5m 26s; in some respects volume 4 feels a bit like volume 1 to the extent that quite a few of the episodes seem to divide screentime into 3ish unconnected sequences. I'm going to rewatch the entire volume to see the extent to which this trend holds because I have some spare time.

I never thought that at all.
All I thought was that Jacques was going to be super broken with summons, but he's not pure-blood Schnee, he's a giant fucking asshole. Frankly now I'm just waiting for his blood spilled across the floor.
...So who do you think will do it? Adam? Hazel? Dr. Watts? Weiss? Ironwood?
I'd say Whitley. He's only getting in close to Jacques so he can kill him when he's vulnerable and take over the SDC.
But I also want him to do something bad so that it can counteract the action of him killing Jacques, since I know some people will end up rooting for him when the overall intent is to see him as not a hero.
So here's a screentime breakdown for volume 4 by episode for the curious.
1:
Salem and Co: (6m 8s)Oscar: (1m 24s)
RNJR: (10m 3s)
Weiss: (1 m)
2:
Weiss: (1m 41s)+(4m 8s)=(5m 49s), running total=(6m 49s)
RNJR: (6m 13s)+(3m 4s)=(9m 17s), running total=(19m 20s)
3:
Blake: (2m 5s)+(8m 31s)=(10m 36s)
Yang: (3m 30s)
Salem and co: (1m 55s), running total=(8m 3s)
4:
Oscar: (56s), running total=(2m 20s)
Yang: (7m, 2s)+(23s), running total=(7m, 25s)
RNJR: (1m 55s), running total=(21m 15s)
Qrow/Raven: (3m 57s)
5:
Blake: (10m, 3s), running total=(20m, 39s)
Salem and co: (16s), running total=(8m, 19s)
6:
RNJR:(3m 33s)+(4m, 34s)=(8m, 7s), running total=(29m, 22s) Weiss: (6m), running total=(12m, 49s)
7:
Oscar:(3m, 43s), running total=(6m, 3s)
Weiss:(5m, 10s), running total=(17m, 59s)
RNJR/Qrow:(5m, 26s), running total=(34m, 48s)
Grand totals thus far for each of the running arcs:
RNJR=(34m, 48s)
Blake=(20m, 39s)
Weiss=(17m, 59s)
Salem and co=(8m, 19s)
Yang=(7m, 25s)
Oscar=(6m, 3s)
Qrow/Raven=(3m, 57s)

I wonder just how dark they can make Jacques and how comically it'd backfire in that everyone will make him out to be the Big Bad.
So the episode's not out for non-sponsors yet. Which means there's a lot of sponsors here.
Should... I ask for a source?
Well.
Yup.
Adam got nailed pretty quickly. Whatever's happening now sounds the same. It's easy drama that a lot of people can relate to/project onto.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!

Raven probably comes off as more likable because we never saw her do anything to the town. It's a common fandom effect.
