Yea, figures when things get sorta hype we gotta wait for it...
....Wait, if Jacques married into the family, but is it's head. Oh man, it's gonna be one of those patriarchal things where only a male can run the family, regardless if he has blood ties or not. In these cases, the women are only expected to breed heirs and support their husbands...what a shitty existence. But that's only if it turns out to be true.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Perhaps he took over for his wife due to being a better businessman?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Not enough reasons...just a party.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.hey guys, we might be getting WOR this week, but Rooster Teeth also put out a teaser for next week's episode on twitter
. (Spoilers obviously!)
Finally got to see the new WOR and I'm fairly certain I've seen this movie.
Santa Schnee seemed like a cool guy and Jacques Frost is a opportunistic bastard.
I hope everyone is using spoiler tags when discussing next week's episode.
I've just watched the latest WoR segment. It's available for the free account holders now.
- Qrow definitely has a personal issue with the Schnee family.
- Nicholas Schnee seems based on Saint Nick, right down to using wealth to better other people's lives. The exact opposite of Jacques.
- Nick's combat school days seem to coincide with the first Huntsmen Academies. Ozpin probably knew him.
- This is probably why Weiss feels she has to become a Huntsman to save the Schnee name. She's trying to replicate Nick's life.
- Can't decide if the Schnee symbols are representing kingdoms we know nothing about (and which no longer exist) or Dust expeditions. The way the symbols appear on the map covers both pieces of information, so it's pretty ambiguous — although none of them correspond to the locations of the current Kingdoms (not even the location of Mantle), so it's more likely to be expeditions.
- Confirmation that Dust is the equivalent of coal - it's not just dangerously explosive to deal with, but mining it causes health problems, too.
- SDC workers: poor pay, poor health, bet they lack affordable healthcare, too. Looks like there's going to be a lot of reasons for the workers to revolt in Atlas - since that's what the show is building towards. Go look at the British history of coal mining strikes to see how that could play out (internationally condemned during its day, so a good source of inspiration to use).
- Jacques took advantage of Ol' Nick's failing health to take over the company, and the little cut-outs suggest Nick's daughter really did fall for him.
- Did Winter want to save the company, but made the mistake of joining Atlas Academy, which didn't give her the freedom she needed to escape? Is that why Weiss chose Beacon? To escape better than Winter did?
My guess: Shades of the Willow Song from Othello. Here's to a bitter wife, who feels she's betrayed her father and company by falling for a man who is destroying everything her father worked for, and she feels powerless to do anything about it. If she is the "Willow" everyone's waiting to see, that would be the reason for her name — the weeping willow. While there's a separate species of willow called the 'snow willow', the weeping willow does have the alternative name 'white willow'). It's associated with powerful protective and regeneration folklore, so I suppose if Weiss's mother is broken, and is willow-connected, she'll find her spirit if she needs to protect someone, probably her kids (Weiss, specifically).

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Regarding the Meaningful Name, what do you make of Salem meaning "peace" (be unto you) in Hebrew?
Also, as far as literary references go for her, the only work that comes to mind for me would be The Crucible, which is about the Salem witch trials. Hmm.

Is that clear? I doubt most of her human associates would be on board for that, and it definitely sounds like the attack on Beacon was done in pursuit of something other than destruction. (Looking for a MacGuffin more like)

The newest episode is WOR about the Schnee family. Spoiler, Jacques married himself into the family. And I think Mama Schnee is Willow.
