You know just the other day I was thinking of ludicrous RWBY game ideas. Like RWBY Dance Dance Revolution with Ren as the demanding tutorial guide, or a dating sim for the lols. Or a management stealth game as Cinder trying to pull off her evil schemes without anyone figuring out she's evil. Or a chibi racing game.
''What do you mean? A 2d fighter with detailed sprites is probably the best way to go. You can squeeze in the action, the flair that 3d fighters usually don't have and then you put in amazing music for some extra fun."
If ASW does make a RWBY fighter, it's gonna use the Guilty Gear Xrd art style of celshaded 3D Models animated to look like 2D sprites. It fits the RWBY artstyle like a glove, and it allows for the visual flair of a 2D game, with cinematic tricks of a 3D game. It would also mean we'd likely get an Airdasher fighter.
Or ASW could make a sidescroller action game, like they did with Hard Corps Uprising.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...
rollin' on dubs
If a RWBY Fighter gets made, they should go for a story retelling of Volume 1 for the first game, and continue from there. If only because it helps limit the roster better on launch, and also because I think the Volume 1-3 outfits are better than the new ones.
Also a Silver Eyes Ruby Bonus Boss that has a Daisuke Ishiwatari remix of Red Like Roses for her theme (Red Like Roses Xrd)

I didn't know how much I wanted Daisuke doing heavy metal instrumental remixes of all the vocal songs in RWBY until now.
Shit man, you're fighting to a remix of I Burn, then if you activate Yang's Semblance as a super the vocals kick in much like Ride the Fire works. OR FUCK, HOW ABOUT YOU FIGHT UNLIMITED CINDER TO A KICK-ASS DIVIDE REMIX.

Well granted, Arcade Mode story elements in most fighters have 1-3 rival battles (The character talks to the opponent, whom they usually have history with), before the sub and final bosses, so those would be story light. You can make Arcade Mode end with non canon endings for each character as well.
I see Cinder working like this: She's the final boss of Arcade Mode. Her first form is her normal playable self, and you fight her inside the Beacon Tower. When you win Round 1 against her, she stops holding back, activates her Maiden powers, and blasts the entire stage, which is now a ruined, flaming wreck of the tower, like the Vol 3 climax, but everything's on fire. Now Cinder is in boss mode, so all her attacks are buffed, and she gets all new, absurdly strong ones.
Her Divide remix would sound like Endless Despair or The Midnight Carnival.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...Games provide unlimited what-if scenarios...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Or RWBY X Play Station All Stars Battle Royale (don't know why I'd want that)
I can imagine Ruby meeting Kratos...and fangirling over his weapons.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Another Character
Name: [Green] [Knight], based on Master Chief / Green Knight. C'mon, wouldn't it be perfect to have Master Chief working for Salem? Also draws upon Lancelot, especially Fate/Zero Berserker, and the Doom Marine. The idea that keeps popping in my head is a guy with ridiculous number of weapons strapped to his back, each of them he uses, each of them he took off the dead hands of another Hunter he killed himself. In his own words, out of respect.
Question: Why would Master Chief, a paragon of humanity, want to work with someone who's apparent goal is Kill All Humans? Same thing with the Doom Marine.
So the creators are in Japan and look who they happened to meet up with.

...Remnantstone sounds hilarious.
