Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So here's what I think.
If Blake kisses Sun, White Rose is safe.
If Ruby kisses Jaune, Bumblebee is safe.
They'd have to be crazy to kill off both of their majorly-popular lesbian ships.
But if Ren kisses Jaune... no one is safe.
My various fanfics.Crazy, or not letting fandom dictate their writing decisions
Given how they've reacted to criticism in the past (highly unprofessionally) I think there is very little chance of them changing something because of vitriol in the fandom
edit: Well, except in order to spite people

rollin' on dubs
?? When did that happen?
I'm just curious. Every artist is human, some just wear their hearts on their sleeves. JMS got into a spat on USENET when a fan said a Babylon Five episode was a "ripoff" of either Closetland (a film based on a play) or NineteenEightyFour. JMS have that guy a beatdown that was epic because he did research for PEN international and other dissident support groups. Not helping were some trolls who said that an actor was a "druggie" when in fact the poor man had a mental illness. JMS went nuclear whenever those guys would try and troll the newsgroup.
As much as I would love to see more LGBT characters, forcing the issue against the wished of the creators is not the way to do it. Either plan it that way or don't do it after the fact. The episode "Rejoined" from Star Trek Deep Space Nine is an example of LGBT done poorly: the "Lesbian Kiss Episode" that was more Narm/Girl-on-Girl is Hot (aside from a few scenes) than a "we stand with you" from the writers.

I tried to walk like an Egyptian and now I need to see a Cairo practor....In this weeks episode of RWBY sins. Crow and Raven play the pronoun game so we don't know what "it" is. DING
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Caught the new episode. There was a lot of great stuff in there.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Just watched the episode. Boy was that a complete waste of everybody's time. Rather than seeing Yang actually make the decision to put the arm on, we're forced to deal with Qrow and Raven having a predictably cryptic conversation about absolutely nothing that we care about. I don't care about Qrow. I don't care about Raven. I want to spend time with the actual main cast, god forbid.
Hell, even the scene choices were lame. That bit where we see Qrow following Ruby and killing Grimm, and then see Raven's raven following them as well? Completely pointless if only two minutes later we were going to have the scene at the two inns. The second scene gives us all the information that's in the first.
As for the plot, it continues to advance nowhere fast.
Side note but if/when the show tries to make me sympathize with Raven later on, I'm going to be very irritated.

But she has just put her arm on. It's not shown on-screen, but it's clearly the shiny robot arm.
- So I guess either Ozpin is in the mirror or is right in Oscar's head. For the record, Oscar is one of the original Wizard of Oz's real names.
- Hey, Professors. Admittedly, the scene got a little scary with Yang and Taiyang staring each other down, but it turns out they were just playing around.
- ...I do wonder if Port, Oobleck and Taiyang are in the know about the whole Relic thing. I presume Goodwitch does more than just "restore Beacon to its former glory" (admittedly, seeing Smaugrimm removed off-screen would be briefly hilarious).
- Scary Adam Nightmare.
- We finally get some insight into Raven. Cryptic. So I guess both Branwens were wandering bandits (her tribe) prior to... when, actually? The same bandits are implied to have burned that town from Ep. 2.
- The strong live, the weak die. That sounds super-Salem. Raven might not be actually working with her; perhaps she merely pretends to do that or is just the third party trying to do things her way.
Like the ep. The waitress is cute, too.
...also, Qrow in a skirt.
I dunno,
I haven't finished the episode yet (Mostly due to all the buffering) but I like that they are taking Yang 's trauma nice and slow. You don't solve something like that quickly, you need time to get used to it first. Her laughing at Taiyang's (terrible) joke is already a lot of progress.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!I thought that entire conversation was just about Raven being the chief of one of those roaming bandit teams that probably wiped out where Nora and Ren are from. Yeah, she knows about Salem, but that doesn't imply to me she's working for her, especially the way the conversation was going.
@Ambar, the way the episode was going I don't think seeing Yang put the arm on actually changes anything. Everything that needed to be established was.
And on the "lesbian ships" sinking...yeah, if that's how the writers go about it, that's how it goes. I hate the thought that writers are obligated to fans their ships in order to be "progressive", in quotes because the entire mindset doesn't seem particularly progressive to me.

I mean, it's not like these are ships the fans have created out of nothingness. ShipTease-ing is a thing, and the writers have played it especially hard with Yang and Blake. Not expecting that to be a thing would be like not expecting Nora and Ren to be a thing, when it's so obviously going to be a thing.
My various fanfics.Ship Tease doesn't have to lead to anything, and often doesn't.
Yeah, this is basically the same as the pacing from the first two volumes.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I like how Yang is progressing. Also, Qrow following Ruby makes me think there has to be something more to this than just Ruby's silver eye powers. That's important, obviously, but something else is going on.
Gotta establish the new normal before moving on. Or at least, I think that's what they're doing.

So yeah, looking at the conversation between Raven and Qrow, I'm wondering if she isn't, presumably under An Offer You Can't Refuse arrangement similar to the White Fang and Torchwick, working for Salem. The conversation starts out in a way that goes against that notion, but near the end, I'm getting the impression she might have been phishing for the location of the Beacon relic under the assumption that Qrow didn't know she was working with the enemy.
