Can I have links on this Lego RWBY madness?
@Predictions: An Atlas branch, perhaps? Maybe Sher Khan lady resides in Atlas, oh irony. Adam does seem more focused on Yang and ruining her, if the opening is any indication.
Shouldn't we be spoilering all this yet? >.> Also, I do wonder if The Butler's split personality thingamabob is his Semblance or, well, a split personality.
@Ambar: I'm tentatively predicting Yang isn't done suffering, because her part in the introduction is rather ominous, in the same way Pyrrha's was for volume 3. If we're indeed not yet at rock bottom for Yang, I would tend to think we might see a (presumably temporary) Face–Heel Turn on her part. Of all the major characters at least, I'd say she's probably the most likely to fall to the dark side, though that's obviously contingent on Salem's goal (or at least the one she sells to her subordinates) being some sort of Utopia Justifies the Means plan.

With a '0', not an 'O'Random thoughts on episode one. Folderizing for convenience and spoileriness.
Tyrian seems like a pretty one-note villain. I hope there's more to him than just "cackling psychopath", but I'm not optimistic.
Freckles, suspenders, patched knees on his pants.... hitting the "farmboy" stereotype a little hard, aren't we? Wonder what his connection to the Dark World is.
Ren, "ranger" isn't a color either. Those pink glove/sleeve things are weird as hell, though.
Can we get over Jaune being the dedicated Butt-Monkey? Because I'm really ready for that to be over.
Someone had a little too much fun with the subtitles. After Jaune says he got the metal for his upgraded gear "from a friend", the caption very briefly reads "(AUDIENCE SOBBING)".
So, wait, did he actually get any upgrades? Because I'm pretty sure it's still just a regular sword and a collapsible shield. Which sort of pales in comparison to, you know, a scythe rifle, a grenade launcher hammer, or the like.
Was Nora always that short?
Overall, could be worse, I guess. We got a fun fight and not much angst. We'll see if they can keep that up when we get more focus on the rest of team RWBY, though, given that Ruby was always the most upbeat of the four.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Ranger Green is also utilized by, surprise, surprise, United States Army Rangers.
At this point, we don't know. Maybe it has dust capabilities like Weiss' rapier. He kind of got it, then the episode ends.
Also, yes. Nora was always that short. She's the shortest female in the series aside from Neo (who is 4'11 in heels)

If she was taller she wouldn't be as effective...you can't tag team with a tall person.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

Actually, crap, I just noticed that the picture I linked was modified by whoever uploaded it. Yang isn't supposed to wearing her shades (and she looks
really evilballer as hell there too). But the leg problem is the same if you look at the RWBY poster on the RT site. But anyway. Yeah. Lego RWBY confirmed.
I'm a little disappointed this episode focused on Weiss and didn't show us a little of what Yang and Blake were up to. But then I guess that frees up some space next episode.
Also I'm not sure if Ruby was having cryptic Pyrrha dreams or if that was just Jaune's Scroll playing the clip. Which means he's been keeping that well under wraps for sometime now.
The moral of this episode is to never record creepy motivational videos of your friends talking to you, lest they be unexpectedly killed by a Firebender one day and you torment yourself watching said videos night after night.
I mean did Pyrrha send that video to Jaune at some point while she was training somebody else,
or did she hold that camera perfectly straight and record herself giving him instructions while he was training(tripods and flat surfaces), rather than recording him, or did Jaune ask her to record herself so he could have some video instruction when she wasn't available. Each option is just a little bit weird considering this was filmed at night and they both sleep in the same dorm room, and neither is shown doing anything without the presence of their team.edited 30th Oct '16 2:29:09 PM by Soble
