As far as Lancaster goes, it's a bit Too Soon at this point. I'd like to see it happen later on personally, but it's hardly the time for love to bloom.
Cap: Indeed.
It also highlights the restraining influence Ozpin had on Ironwood. As much as Ironwood disagreed with him in certain issues, he still respected Ozpin enough to take what he said into consideration and change his own plans accordingly. Now without that second mind to bounce off of, Ironwood's going to go with the first thing that pops into his head without looking too deeply into the consequences.

@Native Jovian: Pretty much all I can say is watch the first episode of the season and see what it does for you. Although, if you didn't have the patience for HXH, I'm doubting you'll enjoy this either.

Is he? If they've got no Dust they can't exactly declare a war. He might not be making them less suspicious, but he's not making it easier for them to actually launch an attack.
Side note but bets on the White Fang hitting the Schnee charity concert?

Is anyone esle getting uncomfortable flashbacks to the director from Rv B during that scene?

I mean, he was also using it to train his ass off since he's well aware that he's not quite at the level of the others.
Of course that only makes it sadder when you think about the implications, but still

His determined expression says he "is" coping well...
Or he could break down if triggered...
Either Or, really.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I can't help but notice how odd Weiss's leg looks in this picture.
Everything else is detailed and her leg looks like a stained glass portrait.
Still chuckling over Ruby's cleavage window.
- Did Ironwood look a little... unkempt?
- Colonel Schnee: 'Can you believe people blame Atlas for what happened to Vale? I mean, I guess they can go find some ''other'' Dust energy company then. Oh wait, there aren't any!"
- Jesus Colonel Schnee couldn't be more of a douche. A well-mustached one, but a douche nonetheless. I like it. Not quite the overly abusive parent everyone expected but obviously in an unhappy marriage.
- Klein reminds me of one of the dwarfs. So then - finally Weiss's allusion to Snow White is starting to come into picture. We've got Ruby and her hood, Weiss and her dwarf butler, Blake "the beauty" and Adam "the beast", and Yang going into a house that was quickly surrounded by Ursi.
-
Why do I feel like Klein is going to be dead by the end of this volume?
- UGH, WEISS'S SMILE. I think I've found something to replace making fun of Blake's failures.
- Pyrrha: "Use the force Ruby."
- ...I actually got a little teary-eyed watching that. Damn.

Eh heh.
I just watched the episode and I know what you meant, but I actually meant the Vol 4 poster picture of Team RWBY together. Weiss's leg in the bottom right, it looks off-model behind Ruby.
This

I'm sad to say that I actually laughed first and thought about it second. >.>
Okay, so Ep 2.
- So it's a lil' young brother. Hm.
- Weiss has both parents, but her mom is an alcoholic and her dad is an emotional manipulator (though he does appear more subtle than the usual)
- Ironwood's definitely not having the best time. The Dust embargo does help against waging war on Atlas, but what happens when Papa Schnee pulls the seats out from under his ass somehow to save his business?
- Huh. Jaune's sisters did play with his hair after all.
- Actual on-screen blood and it appears Ren and Nora know what's going on. Are we going to see some of the backstory, perhaps that Village?
- Why is Ruby having Pyrrha dreams?
- Jaune's obviously not as well-adjusted as we first thought. Happy to see it.
So I guess the next ep will be Blake & Sun shenanigans.

Also, while I could easily see them doing a romantic subplot with Jaune and Ruby, I agree it'd be better if they didn't.
