It's the height chart: Glynda is 6'5" (1.96 meters) in heels.

Also, no, she's not. The actor who plays him currently, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson
, is 6'9". The previous actors were Conan Stevens (7') and Ian Whyte (7'1"), but despite being shorter than them, Thor is much more muscled. Also, all of those actors are still shorter than him in the books by the way, as Gregor is extremely tall, and close to EIGHT FEET in height or 2.4 meters.

World of Remnant: Vale has me thinking. If we're getting infodumped on the Four Kingdoms for this season's World of Remnant sessions, that suggests this season's gonna be really political. This should be interesting.
Also, the northwest continent is totally where Salem is. None of the kingdoms occupy it and it's shaped like a f*cking dragon. It's hard to get more Obvious Mordor than that.
EDIT: It's even spitting fireballs at Vacuo!

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Eh, we learned about Dust, Huntsmen, Grimm, and Aura last season - the predatory nature of the Grimm and the inevitable conflict between the kingdoms were important. The only huntsman we see is a bitter drunk, and dust has mainly been the in-universe excuse for elemental abilities. The White Fang stealing dust subplot fell on the backburner.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!No reason they shouldn't be. They've already been implied to be Salem-made rather than any kind of natural occurrence.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Man, I'm so conflicted on World of Remnants. Like on the one hand, it is nice to get some understanding of the world but it would be much better to get that sort of information in the show and not mindnumbingly dull exposition dumps.
Like the board game in Volume 2 was a really good example of how to do that. WoR feels like a cop-out for mediocre writing.

Or they realized that having that many Info Dumps would take away from the plot.
Oobleck was specifically created to be able to do that in an enjoyable while still not screwing up the plot's pacing.
What are these exposition dumps like, is there not enough entertainment along with interest(question mark)
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. From the board game, I gleaned that Atlas has a military focus and stuffs. Which is the most obvious trait they have.
So not much.
I still know nothing about Mistral and I frequently forget Vacuo's name.

The key to making exposition work is to have the info delivery fucpnction second to dramatic necessity. At its best, exposition is invisible or should feel invisible.
We learned more about what the other places were like. Atlas is heavily focused on robotics, Vacuo is a desert landscape that is a society that is more of an outland than the heavily built up Vale and Atlas, and that Mistral is involved with black-market.
Really, the main problem with the WoR segments is that they are fundamental violation of Show, Don't Tell.
If you compare this with the likes of Mob Psycho 100, My Hero Academia, and other similar shows, you'll find very few need to put up outside material to actually handle their worldbuilding.
EDIT: Goodness this thread moves fast.

"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior ValI've never heard of either of those. Meanwhile, legendary works like Star Wars and The Lord Of The Rings have entire books dedicated to supplemental worldbuilding.

Both of those are rather new shows of similar genre to RWBY, which is why I chose them as examples.
In addition, those works you listed generally had that extra world-building occur during large breaks between the works and are hardly needed to get an understanding of the works.

At any rate, the World of Remnant segments have usually felt to me like clarification of the finer details of stuff we already have a pretty good idea about, or will find out about later in the story. They're not strictly necessary to understanding things, but provide nice insight nonetheless.
