According to their fans...Platinum can make a better RWBY.

Well Transformers: Devastation was a ton of fun while Korra was a cheap cash-in trying to do something with the license in the last season. I genuinely believe if they care about the property, they will do right by it. If they don't...we get TMNT.
I do know for a fact that one of the creative heads of PlatinumGames (can't remember which, but I think it was Hideki Kamiya) is a big fan of RWBY and said he wanted to make a RWBY spectacle fighter

Why even make it a shooter? There's no gun variety.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.No gun variety? We have:
- Sniper Rifle (Ruby)
- Pistol (Blake, Scarlet, Qrow(?))
- Shotgun (Yang, Sun, Mercury)
- Blunderbuss (Port)
- Rifle (Pyrrha, Roman)
- Grenade Launcher (Nora)
- Machine Pistol (Ren, Emerald, Fox)
- Automatic Rifle (Neptune)
- Minigun (Coco)
- Rocket Launcher/Flamethrower (Oobleck)
And those are just off the top of my head. So there's variety.
Ooh yeah, that's what it was

(^-^): Yep, no gun variety at all...
At least they wouldn't all play the same, that list is describing character variety for a not shooter type game. They have their own fighting style and guny type, that's good enough.

It's more fun to talk about shipping?
Apparently it's the newest build of an old game (no info was given, just demos)

Man when we were in Volume 2 this thread was nothing but shipping. It used to aggravate the crap out of me because we didn't really know much about the characters but everyone insisted on figuring out who would sleep with who. That concept of fun baffles me. Yeah nobody took it all that seriously but the less shipping discussion we have the better. This show deals with so little romance it's unsettling how much we project onto these characters love lives.
I think someone even proposed making a Shipping Thread at one point that died off because it was getting to be 5-10 pages about which ships were good in this one.
It's also unsettling that anyone would deny the sexy dinosaur that is Bumblebee.

The Macross shipping wars were also fun. The Frontier one didn't end until the 2nd movie came out.
I think you're wrong about the idea that it's a third person shooter. That game, which I assume is RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, has been mentioned a few times before in this thread and is really more of a third person hack-n-slash action game with a focus on multiplayer. Shooting stuff is just one of many attacks one can do in that game. Also, admittedly, I feel you're a bit harsh on this game considering this is RT's first gaming project and all.
On another note, it appear someone charted a RWBY track as a Guitar Hero 3 custom, joining the likes of Rock Band and Rocksmith in terms of rhythm games with RWBY tracks charted for them.

Bringing it back to shipping for a moment, while I do ship Whiterose, I think realistically it's unlikely that Ruby will end up with anyone. She hasn't shown any interest in romance at all. Not hers, not anyone else's. I've seen a handful of fics that interpret her as Asexual, but even if that's not true it's clear she cares more about being a Huntress than anything else.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.![]()
I remember starting a new game, not being able to do meele attacks, and weapon damage being pitiful.
Then I died.
Then I went to play Tekken 7 and had a billion times more fun. It just wasn't fun to play and felt like a cheap cash in for a series with a massive presence at the convention, a prime example of The Problem with Licensed Games.

Ah, young grasshopper. Those wars pale in comparison to the great wars that occurred in the earliest mass online fandoms - for example, the Star Trek Original Series wars of ancient yesteryear.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Ruby for the most part was not the most social back in volume 1 so I would imagine that forming bonds of different kinds could come up. I could imagine that Ruby might notice her interest in anyone until it is pointed out.
I do ship white rose and I could imagine the game situation not being humor, but Weiss just going along with her partners antics. It would amount to be a clue later if the ship actually leaves the shipping harbor.
"Shall I use you, or make you mine... I'm not so sure what I'll do." - DorthyI honestly don't get White Rose at all. Like, Blake and Yang, sure, I could see it. But Ruby and Weiss? It mostly just comes off as people going "it would be adorbs" and wanting to ship two girls together than actually thinking they'd be a good couple.
Which actually gets to the roots of a lot of shipping issues.

It's just cute because "white rose" is a great fusion of their character designs and appearances. And because they're basically Red Oni, Blue Oni, so people see that aesthetic chemistry and they're good to go.
If you're asking for actual logic, well, talking a classmate out of driving herself off the deep end doesn't mean you two are meant to be, but Bumblebee is a thing regardless, and that scene is probably the chief OTP moment for Blake and Yang thus far. I don't know why they picked that name. Maybe people were just thinking about how Yang rides on top of a motorcycle name "Bumblebee" and thought her relationship with Blake would be similar. Who knows? It's just a cute name. Don't question shipping logic!
Oh Grimm Eclipse you meant. That's ancient news. Nobody in this thread likes it for some reason. It's clunky and not really polished so I've heard. The only new thing is the apparently radioactive Grimm that some crazy old fop was creating.
