If it's fucking Moltres, you can bet your ass we're putting aside saving the world to catch it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Jokes aside, we don't know how fierce the Grimm on the way were. Since they were venturing away from civilized lands, these Grimm had to be stronger and smarter - and even the common Beowulf in the short was throwing bricks - than what they've fought when in Vale.
They might have stopped for a village or a town now and then, as well. Where else do you think Ruby would get her new look?
So wait, it's only 6-8 months now? I thought the timeskip was supposed to be three years.

Yeah they were going by foot but I'd doubt it take THAT long

Dressing like a more attractive version of that sexy character...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The first episode was just before the beginning of the academic term. We don't know for certain what season the academic term starts in (we can guess). We know the Vytal Festival happens at the end of that same academic year, so Volumes 1-3 happen across the span of a year. Throw in the 6-8 month timeskip and, yes, it does seem to be approximately a year and a half from pilot episode to the first episode of Volume 4.
Yes, autumn during the volume and winter when Team RNJR leave Ruby's house. There's a mini-Time Skip during the final episode of Volume 3 from autumn to winter. We don't know if it's a couple of weeks or a couple of months because 'autumn leaves falling off the trees' turning to 'bare trees and snow on the ground' can happen quite quickly if the 'autumn' period was right at the end of the season.
So, six to eight months after winter puts us into summer. I've been expecting another Maiden in the next volume and the maiden would be the one for what season the volume takes place in. I thought it would be the Winter Maiden, given the snow on the ground at the end of the volume, but if it's six to eight months after the winter scene, we could be in the height/end of summer and therefore the next one dealt with would be the Summer Maiden.
It would actually be quite interesting if they're going backwards instead of forwards (so the order would be Fall Maiden first, Summer Maiden second, Spring Maiden third, Winter Maiden last - in the opposite order to the revelation of the sisters during the fairy tale).

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. To anyone who watched the Yang Death Battle, there's a dispute
on the Death Battle YMMV page
about a Canon Defilement entry that I figure someone might be willing to help with. To quote the post from over in the Death Battle thread:
Then a troper by the name pf Flamethrowerman 09 made a note saying that she did act that way in an episode, with a link calling it Blatant Lies . For those of you who don't know, he linked to the episode "Fall". A. Yang was in a tournament match, meaning she was supposed to beat the guy. B. She was tricked into thinking she was being attacked and defended herself C. The guy, Mercury, attacked her after he lost teh battle. and D. Mercury was never really injured because he had bionic limps. Oh, he's also a sociopath. SO much so it's on his trope page.
Not only is this a blantant manipulation of facts, he also attacked my intergrity.
I don't care about the stupid debate behind the Death Battle anymore. However, I have seen this guy on Deviantart as a part of the group of Yang hater's Haven.I've deleted the note but this is gonna happen again. What can I do to prevent it?
Told them to bring it to Ask the Tropers as well, but I figured someone might want to weigh in since "even the most diehard RWBY fan agrees she wasn't properly represented."
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yang was unusually bloodthirsty in Death Battle but that's pretty much standard fare for the series. Not for RWBY but for Death Battle. It is as much Canon Defilement as - spoiler-tagging for outcomes of fights - Spider-Man ripping off Batman's torso, Superman and Goku locking horns so hard that the Earth is destroyed, Wargreymon bloodily murdering Charizard and Red, etc. No more, no less.
That's kinda DB's shtick. They play fast and loose with characterization because many of the characters they use for Death Battles would never fight the other person in a no-f*cks-given all-out brawl to the death. So they fudge characterization a bit.
