The Title Acronym would change...BWBY, eh.
The name itself is a mislead.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Taking "booby" out of that is a bit of a stretch even with the show's Xtreme Kool Letterz into account.

...the sword?
Derp, I thought you were responding to the Yang picture and was wondering why you were calling Ember Celica Gambol Shroud. I thought Punished Yang had a sword hidden somewhere I wasn't seeing.
Also while Yang might have an ass frame, at least she's wearing pants now. This is one of those rare times when I am perfectly down with pants. Not even the straight out of highschool freshmen at my college dress like Yang does and the boob and butt emphasis from her always weirded me out.
Blake and Weiss however, good show, please, carry on.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Eh, the naming schemas are weird in some cases but in fairness the headmasters kinda have to work with what they've given, since they don't decide the teams themselves, so the weirdness even makes sense from an in-universe perspective.
If you give a mouse a cookie, it can burn down the world. I burn.Team Shonen!
Idle thought: Penny's misadventures with a magnet aren't just a cute joke. They establish that her CPU is somehow magnetically-shielded, which is important to her fight with Pyrrha. Without that, Team Cinder being able to trick Pyrrha into dismembering Penny rather than any of the myriad ways her powerset could have killed Penny without being overtly visible to the audience what happened would come off as a contrived coincidence.
They didn't just need Pyrrha to kill Penny, they needed it to happen in a way that was excessively visible and revealed Penny's robot components. Penny suddenly collapsing because Pyrrha accidentally ripped out vital processing components from her motherboard would be less of a "OMG Pyrrha is a murderer and Penny is a robot!" outrage and more of a "Penny just collapsed. No idea what happened. Let's get medical down there, and I guess Pyrrha wins by default. Next round!"
Despite Mercury's gloating about it, "Magnet v. Robot" is exactly the circumstance the writers needed to avoid with Pyrrha v. Penny. So they added that cute joke.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Not as much as Mistral's city repair budget is going to have to stretch to repair all the statues Ruby's likely broken for the sake of making cool entrances.
...yeah, let's move on.
Also, yeah, I have to admit, Volume 4 does look prettier. Shadows and what not. That aside, I can't help but miss the fairy tale look that Volume 1 had. The colors were brighter and things weren't holographic. Character models and animations were gimpy at times but there was something very "fairy tale" about it, like the world wasn't quite complete and we were seeing the parts of the story that the author didn't think about.
Or maybe it was just the use of tracks like the Forever Fall BGM and Red Like Roses, over the more intense soundtracks from later volumes. I'm not sure what instrument they're using when you hear that "da na na na, nanananananana dndndndnndndndndnnaananananaaah nah!" during the Rooster Teeth adverts. I keep thinking its either a harp or a piano. Anyway I heard more of that in Volume 1 than Volume 2 or 3.
But maybe that's of purposeful, because the world of RWBY is gradually becoming less of a fairy tale as the plot moves on, so we're getting less of those gentle-sounding harps and pianos and more of the intense, hard rock, metal songs like I'm Number One and Destiny.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Remember when Nevermores took the whole team to kill?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.To be fair, they took a whole team of inexperienced recruits who have never worked together before to kill. Once the teams started actually working together and coordinating attacks, the Nevermore and Death Stalker went down pretty fast.
And, I mean, the one in season 3 got slammed with a dozen weapons lockers simultaneously and managed to get back up for more, and then took two people to decapitate, but it's not like it put up that much of a fight.
They're extremely formidable opponents for rookies, basically. A starter boss.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.To be fair, using the weapon lockers as artillery weapons is pretty clever.
They don't explode though, so it's limited in effectiveness. Mainly good for hitting large enemies that you can bait into a target zone.
Ruby and Pyrrha using the lockers as vehicles were also clever applications of their functionality.

Random Thought: If Ruby had been named Beatrice, the show would have been very different.
