Nah. Every teamfight (Nevermore, Mech Roman, 4v4 tournament) she pulls her weight but doesn't steal the show. In her fight with Roman (with Sun help) she also mostly held her ground, she would've been outmatched on her own but the two of them were more or less even against him.
She ended up dominating that fight after catching him off guard by using the dust with her ability...that's a fluke.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Ah crap, I was praising Blake for a moment.
In the Nevermore fight she did like zero damage. Really they could've pushed her off the cliff, kept her weapons and still won the fight.
Roman torched her. And that fight was even? Torchwick deflected like every shot they tried to land until Blake leapt in to try and killsteal.
Like the only thing she did against the mech was use Weiss's buff to slice away some missiles, which the team had spent the first half of the fight dodging. Ruby's first formation to give them a smokescreen didn't even involve Blake. Yet another situation she could've fallen off the bridge and her weapon, or a proper grappling hook, could've filled in Blake's contribution to this fight. Yang's also capable of jumping several stories into the air, so she didn't even really need Blake to help her swing around - a simple lunge and punch would've knocked Torchwick senseless.
As for the tournament let's face it, Yang was carrying Team RWBY for most of the tournament.
Blake's Ahri on a team with Garen and Blitzcrank.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
pretty much, she beat Rman in less than a minute( i counted, she beat him in 55 seconds) without giving Roman a oportunity to do something.
It become more bullshit in volume 3 where he face Ruby and give ger a good old ultraviolence
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"That sounds a bit unfair to me. But, again, she really should use that more often.

I find it strange that people actually actual use the term "killsteal" seriously.
The implication that you're supposed to give you're opponent/enemy the chance to do things strikes me as odd.

That fight was unfair...but I wouldn't call that a negative.

Is not giving the oportunity is fight look like rigged, consider there is a lot of videogame logic here, what Blake did was pretty much the equivalent of put close a chararter and smash the button in order to win.
and again it feel odd as Roman fight ruby, the faster chararter in the team and Roman didnt have any problem in beaten the shit out here

But they're not actually videogame characters, and they don't consider it a game.
Applicable tropes aside, that people seriously think "kill stealing" or "not letting your opponent move" is cheating or rigged strikes me as odd. But then again, those accusations strike me as odd in any fighting series, that isn't strictly about competition.
Edit: I mean, I get she doesn't have anywhere near the best track record, but it often seems like people try to actively downplay anything she does, and I find that weird.

They landed one.
Blake literally jumped in, slashed at him, and Torchwick parried all of her sh't like a boss. Then Sun jumped in and Torchwick did the same thing over again, and then Blake leapt in and caught him off-guard. At one point Blake tried to blitz Roman and he did a 360' spin to block her next 2-3 attacks that were coming from multiple directions.
EDIT: Oh my bad. Sun jumped on Torchwick's head. So two hits technically.
EDIT: Oop, three. Sun kicked in the abdomen.
But just for posterity:

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Because as a League player who's almost gold I can inform you: Garen and Blitzcrank are MAJOR Crutch Characters, whereas Ahri is much more powerful in the right hands.

Fights aren't meant to be fair. If you're fighting fair, you're fighting stupid.
In a fair contest, it did still strike me that Roman would defeat Blake. I wouldn't call her win against him on the train a fluke, I'd say it's just that the circumstances favored Blake. Roman got caught off guard and he couldn't go all out without endangering everything.
I see nothing wrong with that myself. Just that it doesn't say much about Blake's fighting skills. Now, if she had maneuvered him into such a scenario, that would be different. She mostly lucked out to have so many factors in her favor, but nothing wrong with having them.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.![]()
A fair fight has rules, mang...
She was fighting against a villain, there are no rules there.

In fiction if a fight is not fair, is not a fight is the author picking someone(sorry, I have to said it)
the issue is Roman is able to fight fast protagonist as he manage to hold his own against Blake and Sun, even against Ruby who is probable faster than them and giving a hell of a pain, yet in the traint she dominate without Roman even able to strike once, that dosent look she is awsome, but that Roman was jobbing.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
Yang is fast, but she's slow compared to the rest of her team. It's why the Mighty Glacier/Lightning Bruiser argument happened with her. She's a Mighty Glacier in regards to team RWBY, but compared to every other character, she's a Lightning Bruiser
Also her style of fight make her less agile, unlike the other who jump, flip and move, Yang tactics is more "CHAAAAARGE!" to the enemy, which work of the time...unless your name is Adam that it.
Yang is a hammer, a pretty good one...but a hammer none the least
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"

Eh, it serves it's purpose well enough, but it doesn't seem like it can actually attack or she can make more than one in the moment.
But she use it in conjunction more with dust like that time on the train. It seems really well suited for something like that. I guess she can't get dust as easily as Weiss but it's too bad they never let that happen more often.
