It's three in the morning and I might be a bit too sleep-deprived to properly comprehend what's going on here, but I don't think I like wherever this is headed, whatever it is.

Hrh-hrm.
Never! First we must define what the "unfunny jokes" are. Like Blake actually being competent, and ships like Enabler.

Unfortunately...in that quote, both options are the same. One just takes up less of the thread by a significant margarine.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. If it really is gonna exist a cheeby chibi Flame lady, is she gonna actually emote...that'd be nice.
Yeah. She appears to be the slowest on her team.
Looking at the image for the next RWBY Chibi it does indeed seem that our favourite maiden-killing villain is going to be popping up with an evil plan.
I predict it will involve ruining Amber's life even more by stealing her lunch, turning all the posters in her room upside down and prank ordering pizza to her house.
...You have no idea how much I want that.
It's sad that I'm looking more forward to Chibi Cinder than I care about actual Cinder.

But actual Flame Lady is boring as a char. so it's okay.
If anybody really likes her, it'd be for looks anyway.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I like her looks.
Her actual character bores me, though. I enjoyed the episode with the villain focus and I feel they have good potential, but it just wasn't realized. And while I don't think she's a Villain Sue, I do think Cinder is one-note.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.On the topic of an anti-military stance from the show, I do think it's perhaps being overstated how negatively they are trying to portray the military. The whole situation kinda went up in flames due to Cinder, but ultimately any issues with the military intervention weren't really the issue of specifically the military, but mistakes by Ironwood due to his relative inexperience. He was portrayed as wrong only because he made a big show of bringing forth his military, and showing off his power, but even in that situation we are shown he meant well; he hoped to demonstrate the power the enemies are Vytal were dealing with and scare them off. Qrow most definitely doesn't like him, and Qrow is definitely portrayed as correct in that scene, but he is also tempered by Ozpin, who while he agrees the show of force was unnecessary, also feels the fault was in the display (at least as far as I remember) rather than in bringing support.
The problem then is not simply that the military is bad but that improper usage of it can lead to problems, which leads to my next point. I suppose one could derive a "military personel are incompetent" thing from Ironwood's mistakes, but internal context is important in determining the stance of the work, and Ironwood is portrayed more as overeager, as he seems to be the most recent member entered into the Ozluminati. He's be portrayed as inexperienced compared to the other members, fitting with his recent involvement in the group, and thus does not yet fully understand the sort of foe they are dealing with and how to handle it. Furthermore, when shit does hit the fan, Ozpin seems fine with the usage of his military, as the invasion of Grimm is precisely the value it poses, being a strong force for protecting large areas and guarding the people. That it was hacked is less to do with simply that the military is bad (I would argue that if an explicitly anti-governmental entity has to control the military for it to do evil, then it doesn't make the situation the fault of the military), and more that the groups own lack of knowledge of their enemy led to not knowing the sort of attacks she was able to use. Volume 2's (somewhat contended) Finale does show what would happen when that sort of thing goes right: a thorough rout of the Grimm as the military force and hunters bring their might to bear against them.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!I don't know. Cinder heating up that popcorn kernel was pretty amusing, and she does emote from time to time. Her lack of emoting is both plausible because so far she's been a mysterious behind-the-scenes, kind of villain engaging in espionage, and interesting because there's a lot we don't know. And come on, thematically, Cinder's seductive, dominant, callous, and good at hand-to-hand. She makes a good villainous counterpart to Ruby.
Really, as much as I like Torchwick, a villain that doesn't overreact or spell out everything they do works better.
And she's definitively a villain - having apparently masterminded a massive terror attack.
And she made Ozpin fight seriously. We had to wait 3 volumes for him to use that cane.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I wouldn't even say her voice.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I mean... the dance scene where she slips into that black dress, the sexy walk she does into the CCT, her skintight cat suit with the zipped down front, her catty smiles whenever things go well, her sultry, evil voice she uses during ordinary conversation, the Mad Max-esque all bandages bra plus vest she wears during the tournament. Her dress is laughably short before and after her transformation as well. When we first see her she's mainly legs and black shorts rippling in the wind. When the protagonists meet her she's in a schoolgirl outfit. And rumor has it that she's based off Cinderella. The archetypal plain jane who became became extremely attractive after magical enhancement.
I think moderately physically attractive is what they were going for to say the least. If her being voiced by Jessica Fricking Nigri wasn't already an indicator. I mean, maybe we're all just extremely reserved but I don't think that's very honest here.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I'd like to note to those resorting to accusations of trolling—you know there's an easy way to figure out if someone is a troll, right? You just check their edit history. In my case it'll reveal an account that's been active for years, across numerous forums and trope pages. Tobias' should show the same.
I'd also like to thank droy for their comments last page. Much appreciated.
You are not. Back when I first posted in the thread I skimmed through some prior conversation and came across the discussion of whether the Fall Maiden had to be a literal maiden. A lot of people said that was impossible, because there's no way Cinder could be a virgin, she's so seductive. To which I say, she's not seductive, she's creepy. Her whole attitude just oozes "evil bitch", even when she's trying to play nice. I'll buy that nobody's touched that, because why would you ever want to?
If that's supposed to be the case, it hasn't really been demonstrated. For the most part the cast act like those in every other "superpowered teenager" show—including those ostensibly set in our world. If the series features any massive departures from conventional morality we haven't seen it.
Speaking as someone who is a lot older than most of the main cast, I wouldn't let myself find anything sexy even if they succeeded in making someone come off that way. They're teenage girls. I'm an adult. No thanks.
(2) You sir are a saint.
Or just have weirdly specific tastes.
All I know is I have never heard anything like that about Cinder or Yang.
Then again I hang with strange folk.
I remember that conversation. I started it joking that there was no way Cinder would qualify as a maiden with her looks and personality. Which admittedly could've come off a lot more offensive than intended but someone else took it as a serious topic and denounced the idea that the title was literal.
That said, it's extremely odd to name your Super Form something that it isn't actually is. Like, "The Avatar" works because that person carries the spiritual avatars of their past lives, is an amalgam of their past lives, and acts as the "border" between the human spirit world, ie - the "avatar" of mankind toward the spirits.
Super Saiyan works because, well, it's a tougher, superior version of a Saiyan. Shining Gundam works because it has a shining, glowing finishing move. Or if we want to go to real-life examples (not that we should), a "fireman" deals with fires and fire-related accidents. There's no misnomer there, that's what they do.
A maiden is a young, unmarried woman, and from the time period and its Germanic origins, it tends to imply a virgin. So why name them that? Obviously the girls might have been, maybe that's what the old man thought to call them, maybe that's what society called them. But there'd be no reason to call them that in modern day except maybe out of respect. No reason to assume that either. And why is the power so blatantly sexist anyway? Older, married, non-virgins don't get their taste of megalomania-inducing superpowers?
Or maybe it's some kind of new-age "we don't have to mean what the word historically has meant" thinking. Or maybe the show is just using terms that sound cool. But in the latter case, "Goddess" would have worked, or "witch," or "season spirit," or fairy. RWBY is effectively an anime and anime tends to reuse concepts and tropes anyway.
I repeat:
"Oh, so nobody here thinks power is sexy? Not one of you finds power sexy?"

I don't find most of the cast sexy because cg models as a whole rarely are attractive to me.
Although, I do admit Cinder hás been an exception só far. As hás been Emerald, but that's it.

I mean so far the biggest discussion have been: will Penny come back(and hell im the only one who dosent think it will be so likey) the Nature of Ozpin and Salem, Phyrra death and if Cinder is villian sue and Same sex shipping
In sort, we get complacent.
