It was in the livestream. Adam hasn't used his Semblance apparently at all. Even during the Black Trailer, that Finishing Move he did was simply that: A Finishing Move and not his Semblance
Well, the question it presents is this: what was it other than a Finishing Move? He had to put it into motion and you don't slice a giant robot in two, complete with a color overhaul of the whole scenery, just by trying hard enough.
@Ship Names: Some are really interesting. If I recall, Jaune x Cinder is literally called "Pyre".
And Cinderx Phyrra? Ashes?
good this is getting funnier with every moment

So, Adam just brute force his way? what a fucking monster he is them, truly and edgelord
Oracles or.... Decindergrated
Here

Let see:
Adamx Phyrra:Minotaur?...that is cleaver
Adamx Velvet:liberation...cool
wait, there is even for themselves? that is ether fuck up or crazy prepared...probable both
"Weiss X Dadschee:daddy issues"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, god I fucking love how hilariously fuck up this fandom can be at times, they really make my day
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Are you sure they directly said he didn't use him Semblence at all (Cause with the energy absorbtion and glowingness it sure looks semblency to me) I know they said his semblence isn't aura piercing he just hit her really really hard but if it wasn't his semblence to absorb attacks (and they already said there's nothing particuarly plot special about his sword so it's not that) then there's absolutely not other logical explaination for that.
I feel like they tried too hard to make Adam look super dangerous which is going to come off as confusing when it's time for his defeat.
Moonslice isn't his Semblance: It's an attack powered up by his Semblance.
Because I have a feeling his Semblance is like Yang's, but in a more contained sense. Like an Attack Reflector. He takes/blocks damage, and it amplifies his own.
Greek Tragedy.
I've just been looking at those shipping spreadsheets. It occurs to me that Ozpin x Glynda should really be called Gloss (Gl-oz)

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.![]()

Whih in a way, keep the parallel between Yang and Adam: both are bullhead it, stuborn, confrontational and both care about Blake in diferent ways, now we have their semblence who both make use of charge energy agaisnt an objective
Hell that scene Yang is the bull(she saw something that make her angry and run with red eyes) and Adam is the matador(waiting the moment to strike)

doubt it, Roman henchmen have red sword and look normal, in fact is weird how Adam dosent have a super-transforming weapon, instead having a Katana in one hand and shootgun in other
Nora X Cinder should be viking funeral
By the way, looking over the sheets for the series, where on Earth does all the love for Winter come from? There's a bunch of stuff on say, the heartwarming page, about how we find out she's not abusive of Weiss. Uh, she totally is. She spends her first conversation with her completely shutting her down, and strikes her for answering the wrong question. That's like the definition of abuse. That's she's halfway pleasant in another scene doesn't erase that fact.
And then there's the fight with Qrow. The fight that opens with her threatening to cut out a man's tongue and then lunging at him with a sword. I can't really see that as anything other than attempted murder, or at least attempted maiming. Yeah, Qrow's a dick, and was being insulting and vaguely threatening, but that doesn't make going for him with a sword even remotely acceptable.
Also because despite Winter's attitude she's still much much nicer and kinder to Weiss than people were expecting. They were expecting a Cinderellaesque evil and abusive sister, because that's was the implication most people had of Weiss's family. It wasn't until the episode before Winter appeared, when Weiss was happy she was coming that people figured Winter isn't the evil person people were expecting.
Also Winter and Qrow knew each other, and it was implied they'd dueled before, so it's not like Winter wasn't aware Qrow could easily match her. Qrow pretty much started the fight verbally, although Winter made the first physical move, but it's not the first time in RWBY that two auraed fighters abruptly started a fight out of the blue, and likely won't be the last either.
Normally those fighters don't threaten to cut someone else's tongue out.
Seriously, if I reacted to an unpleasant comment from someone by pulling my belt knife, threatening them with bodily harm, and then rushing at them with it, I would go to prison. I'd deserve it too. Doesn't matter if I know the person, doesn't matter if I'm aware they can defend themselves, it is not acceptable behaviour at all.
I'm half-expecting there to be something going on between Qrow and Winter. Like, I don't think their fight was entirely genuine, and there's just something about the way Qrow excused Winter from the big secret meeting that seems off to me.
I half-think they're working on something and staged that throwdown.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.If that were to turn out to be the case, that'd improve my opinion of her. That said, until it happens, I'm going to judge her based on the behaviour we've seen from her.
And that makes it okay for her to strike her sister for answering the "wrong" question? That's repulsive.
Weiss being happy to see her means nothing, by the way. Lots of abuse victims are thrilled to see their abuser—especially if said abuser has normally ignored them.

Shouldn't that always be the case? Judging characters by initial behavior...and reasons.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Which requires hitting her for answering a question with a "wrong" answer, why?
As for "trying to coach her into greatness"...Lionel Luthor wanted Lex Luthor to be great. One might say the same thing about Gozaburo and Seto Kaiba. Does that somehow erase what they've done?
Is randomly striking someone for answering a question inappropriately abusive? Yes. That's called assault. You can go to jail for that.
