Neptune and Sun are both characters...good for them.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I like Sun because he seems to be a surprisingly genuine guy despite the rougher traits, like how he legitimately wanted to hang out with the Blake and the other Beacon kids. Neptune has the aformentioned traits which I find fun, but ultimately I like them both equally. I feel like the reason Sun might have more support is due to showing up earlier and having a badass fight scene to his name. Neptune just has that time he got launched off the highway by the Paladin and the doofy ass tournament fight.

I did not realize we had professional voice actors in this show. I figured it was all done by a small group of friends, like most online productions.
Regarding Sun and Neptune, I like Sun because he's Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, and I love Sun Wukong. So I'm a bit biased on that one.
Neptune's a bit bland of character, so I didn't have much of an opinion on him one way or the other for the first two seasons. But the fact that he's afraid of water was a hilarious and ironic character quirk that's helped endear him to me a bit more.
Maybe he doesn't have to die for my ship.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I don't actively dislike Sun, I just find him rather dull, and uninspired as a character. I mean, fun-loving guy romances moody girl? Seen it.
I remember reading somewhere—can't remember if it was this thread or not—that in the original outline of Season 3, we were supposed to see and Neptune get flattened by Pyrrha and Nora in the 2 vs 2 rounds. If that's actually true, I would have loved to have seen it. Given Neptune's weapon and Nora's Semblance it'd be easy to justify.
Mercury is Yuri Lowenthal as of Season 3. They've got one or two professionals.
I like to think that sometime early in his career he jolted himself with his own trident by getting too close to water and that that's where his fear stems from.

Quite a couple, in fact. Beyond Qrow, there's Yuri Lowenthal as Mercury, Laura Bailey as Amber or Travis Willingham as that one schmuck who got killed by Neo.
But the core actors, from what I understand, remain the RT group.

If it's a Cosplay by Jessica Nigri, it's going to be NSFW: She can't ever do a non-sexualized cosplay of any character.
Yes, this included Teemo and Tiny Tina who's thirteen.

Yeah. I think her only "normal" cosplay was Spellthief Lux and that was because the con she debuted it at had a rule about it or something
I mean, her R63 Deathwing Cosplay was a bit Fanservicey, but if you look at Alexstrasza and Ysera, it's not too out of the ordinary for a dragon from Warcraft taking a Humanoid form

Dang, Jessica Nigri rocking that cosplay.
Anyway, I like sun, and the amount of Die for Our Ship he gets is staggering (as well as some colossal anti-shipping goggles). Not to even mention Neptune. But really I like most characters.
Making Sun or Neptune Die for Our Ship seems pointlessly unnecessary. They get so little focus that I can't really fathom how anyone who ships Winter Rose or Bumblebee could consider them a legitimate threat to the pairing. I mean, the show dabbled a bit in Blake/Sun and Weiss/Neptune in seasons one and two, respectively. There's enough support that if the writers wanted to declare either or both of those to be Official Couples, it wouldn't come out of the blue and could be believably developed.
But it's a pretty minor portion of Blake and Weiss's character history, all things considered. At this point in time, Sun and Neptune aren't really love interests. They're more like Those Two Guys. Tertiary characters like Penny who are recognizable enough that they can show up and do stuff, but not a major part of the cast in any way.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I wouldn't even call it a crush. Like, Sun's barely interacted with Blake at all since season one. Neptune and Weiss had a date that one time in season two but only because Jaune encouraged him to go talk to her, and they've barely interacted since.
It wouldn't be a stretch if, in season four, Sun and Blake start hitting it off more or Neptune and Weiss have another date. That would be entirely believable. But it would be equally believable if that was the end of their romantic endeavors with each other and it just never came up again.
Weiss and Neptune had one date, and Sun and Blake didn't even have that; they just hung out for a few days while she was hiding from her team. Neither pairing is anywhere near Official Couple status right now, so the idea that Sun has to be horribly killed so that Blake can cry over his body, rage against the heavens, and be comforted for the loss of her EPIC LOVE by Yang is just silly.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.To Ysera's credit, she rocks a Sylvanas-style armor pants, so there's that.

Neptune's just a dork, but that makes him appealing, honestly.
Sun is alright. He ultimately doesn't do much, but he's got shotgun nunchuks. So that's counting for something.
