Mercury because of I'm The One. Before him it was definitely Neo. Her fighting style is probably the most visually interesting. I fear, and am somewhat amused by the idea that they wrote her out of the next season so they wouldn't have to create anymore insane fight scenes for her.
Of the supporting cast, I guess I'd say Oobleck. His sudden philosophy lesson for Ruby made him more developed than most of the cast at the time.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Outside of Team RWBYJNPR, Adam and Roman tie for my favorite.
I like Roman for the same reason most people do, and for Adam because everything he does just brims with badassery. Note: Yes, I do know that he is awful human being, I don't like him for his virtues anyway.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Hasn't he only done 4 things so far?
Within...2 episodes.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Let see:
On RWBY: I will said Yang since clearly she is most devolpt of all girl with her backstory, Weiss is too much single issue(her family) Blake is Meh and Ruby dosent have that much, in fact everything that happen to Yang while horrible wil alot to have the best story so far.
With suporting cast I will said Qrow and Winter, they both represent contrast between Chaotic and Lawfull good, both have a somewhat Xerox generation between them and the girls and let face it, they just want to have hate-fuck in any given moment
With the villian I will go with Roman and Adam like droy said: Roman just have charm with it(plus his desing being inspared by Alex of Clockwork orange help A LOT as is my favorite kubrick movie) and Adam for being and Edgelord play stright, not "let bully him" not "let him lose for the hero to shine" and all that bullshit, Yang ran to him and him show how Kylo vs Rey should have end
And about him being abusive...I kinda disregard that because it come such nowhere, I meant everything so far said he is extremist guy and them suddenly is his all edward cullen behivor, as I said again the whole scene look like Yangx Blake fan fic: asshole boyfriend come out of nowhere, act abusive while poor girl can do anything about it until lesbian girlfriend come and save the day....
But he averted that, winning my spot as my favorite chararter, praise the edged
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"My favorite hero is Qrow and my favorite villain is Mercury. The former because he's insanely and his voice is amazing, the latter because I enjoy his personality and his voice is amazing.
Outside of those two, I also quite like The Great Edgelord but mostly because of this thread.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! He's okay. I don't hate him but I don't care much for him.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! He's in an awkward position right now where he's not particularly useful and explicitly shouldn't even be here, but he's a character type that usually gets some kind of awesome development down the road and learns to start pulling his weight.
I hated him at first, but that's because I thought we were going somewhere that we ultimately weren't. Pyrrha taking a bullet for him, giving him her weapons, and motivating him to be less worthless in the future is no longer on the table. So I'm now willing to give him more of a fair chance than I might have previously.
Although he's still a f*ck-up and might still be the reason she's dead, given that he had one job - lookout - and cocked it up royally. Cinder has Fall Maiden powers right now because Jaune couldn't be arsed to look in the direction he was supposed to be looking.
So...eh. We'll have to see if he does better.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I think Jaune's overall one of the most... "real" characters in the series. He's used for comedic relief a bit too much (though I wager that's done now), but so much time is devoted to his issues that I feel he's one of the most relatable and human of the cast. I look forward to seeing how his arc progresses.
Heh.
I just don't understand the choice behind him.
Like, it's bad enough that he's the team f*ckup, but finding out that he's doing so poorly not because he's just unlucky or something but because he actually shouldn't be here and cheated his way in? That's, like...that's something. I hated him when I found that out. I wanted him expelled and for a better character to be recruited in his place.
And I certainly didn't want him to be a f*cking team leader when he's not only dangerously incompetent but unqualified to even be a student. Which is why I was dreading Pyrrha getting fridged for the sake of his development, because from the moment she made it her mission to make him less shitty, I had a hunch that was where that subplot was ending.
He's the f*ckup. In the military, one of the first things you learn is that if you're the f*ckup, it's not going to get you killed. It's going to get one of your much more competent brothers-in-arms killed. They will die covering your stupid ass. So don't be that guy.
I'm still not entirely convinced it didn't go there. It'll depend on how Jaune is in season four. But at this point, I don't think it did. I think he's going to do a lot of growing on his own. And as long as he makes no attempt to contest Ruby taking over the remains of team JNPR for however much of the season it takes to reunite the fellowship, I can accept that.
Because she's actually supposed to be here.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I personally love Jaune because he's not supposed to be there and he knows he's not supposed to be there, but got his way in because he felt like he had a duty to live up to.
Jaune is definitely my favorite character in the series.
I also doubt there will be any contests of leadership for team RNJR. It's definitely meant to just be a rag-tag group of the remains of RWBY and JNPR without much sense of formality.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI will contest the claims that he's an inept leader. He still has a way to go, but he's been doing reasonably well even back in Season 1.
Consider: he's the muggle of the setting. He's got no fancy weapons, no fancy powers, no fancy nothing beyond his reasonably large Aura supply that he can't really use beyond making himself a bit much more tough (which doesn't even help him against Cardin, an actually competent Huntsman in training).
But he's improving. These are baby steps, but he's definitely improving. You can argue that if Pyrrha died back in Season 2 or Season 1, you could call it "dying for his development", but he isn't even all that related to her death. It's Ruby who gets "development" (well, powers) instead.
Pyrrha's death is definitely a catalyst for Jaune to mature further, but that could be said of all of Team Ranger.
He's related to her death in the sense that
- The entire reason Cinder was able to absorb the Fall Maiden's powers is because Jaune is such a colossal f*ckup in everything he does that he can't even get "Look in that direction and warn us if someone shows up" right. Cinder should have had an alert and ready Ozpin between her and the Fall Maiden, but Jaune is so incompetent that even something as basic as "lookout" is beyond his skill level.
- Pyrrha only went to fight Cinder to buy time for Jaune to escape. This was the point of shoving him in the locker, firing him away, and taking the elevator up to confront Cinder. Which is such a pointless fight that it's not really clear what she meant to accomplish other than, "Getting killed by Cinder will keep Jaune and/or everyone else safe somehow."
- And then when we see him, he's crying into his communicator while pleading with Ruby or someone to go help Pyrrha, indicating he's received the message behind her sacrifice and is beginning the inevitable fridge-development.
She doesn't directly take a bullet for him, but he is still heavily connected to her death. As is to be expected, as she's the only reason he's even progressed from where he was in the beginning. A female character who is better than the idiot bumblef*ck "everyman" in every way took a special interest in him, dedicated all of her screentime to building him up, fell in love with him, and then died so he could go on and become great. That's a distressingly familiar pattern.
Push comes to shove, I'd much rather still have Pyrrha than have to deal with more of Jaune's idiocy. You're right that he's "the muggle" but that's exactly why he shouldn't be here.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.The version where IIRC Jaune distracts Pyrrha long enough for Cinder to kill her.
Like, it wouldn't stop people saying she was Stuffed into the Fridge even if neither version actually fit the trope (at least to me), but you know.
Only sometimes posts- 1. I concede to that. Still a shame Ozpin proved unable to stop her.
- 2. There wasn't really any reason for Pyrrha to go there. She could have very well bailed with him. Not a single character was aware that Cinder could be tampering with Smaugrimm. Pyrrha stopped that by giving Ruby enough time to get there and freeze it, but she couldn't know of it.
- 3. Can you blame him? I think both he and Pyrrha were painfully aware she goes there for her death than anything else.

For me Torchwick actually is my favourite, alongside Neo. They're a decidedly entertaining pair of crooks—far more so than any of the other villains thus far.
Out of curiosity who are people's favourites among the more minor characters? My fiancee and I both have a soft spot for Professor Port, or as my fiancee instantly dubbed him (and continues to refer to him to the exclusion of all else), Ol' Blunderbuss.
