It was a time that when PG-rating could mean up to a soft-R in today's time.
I shit you not, Mad Max: Fury Road would totally have been a PG-rated movie during that time.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing. Then you could watch good movies?

That's more Values Dissonance than anything else.
In the U.S, sexuality is considered much worse than violence. A single tiddy is enough to get an R-rating, whereas in Europe that's like PG at most. Meanwhile: Most PG-13 movies over here would be R rated due to the violence in them.
I feel like it's applicable for most of West. Some are a bit lenient about this and go with the tested rule of "No Nips, No Problem", but generally nudity is taboo.
Compare with East - or at least, Japan - where smoking teens and gore is censored while nudity - even in seriously questionable forms - works just fine.

If you want your gory movie to be seen by the maximum amount of people, make sure the top of that mauled "female" character stays completely intact. Have all of the "male" characters wear suspenders get chopped from the top-down.

And now I just figured out where potential Humanoid Grimm come from...
Had a discussion about whether or not some entries on the Ho Yay page were relevant and noticed a lot of word cruft and separate entries basically talking about the same point or scene. So, I tidied that up - it does looks like I removed more than I did as a result. I did remove three examples (one Fridge Logic, one no-context, and one other), but if anyone sees a mistake I've made, feel free to let me know and I'll fix.
The "one other" was an example about there being Les Yay between Cinder and Pyrrha at the moment Pyrrha was burning to ash solely because Cinder touched her head at that moment. I'm not the only one who thought that's just pushing things even for an opinion page, so I've put an edit reason and the three examples I'm contesting on to the Discussion Page
.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Random rambling.
God, I really hope Adam keeps Yang's severed arm. Provided that he has it preserved, there's just so many thing one can do with a severed arm. Like, scratching your back for example. If Adam has enough patience, he can even figure out how to use the arm to wipe his butt.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing. As much as I would also like that to happen. Didn't Yang's arm turn into dust or was the dust the blood?
Body parts disintegrating after a clean cut is always a mess, a potential collection...lost.
