It's alright. Alot of it's issues stem from a simple system, being set in the prologue period so nothing really interesting can happen, and them being limited in characters because they're still stuck in volume 2's space.
Like people have been clamouring for JNPR while they keep saying "yes maybe down the line after we've worked everything else out. In the future" which is there way of saying "We can't make a moveset for Jaune and Ren until the show actually shows what their abilities are"
I would like to see a RWBY fighting game. The series has a lot of crazy fighters that you can make up quite the roster. Hell, you got a Ditto Fighter with Velvet already!

Specifically, Toshimichi Mori, the Blaz Blue director said in an interview that he was interested in making a RWBY fighting game.
@Black Sun Nocturne: Add Cyber Connect 2 for that epic anime feel and have added in QTE's that feel awesome instead of annoying.
It worked for the Red trailer:
RWBY gets a Spectacle Fighter by Platinum Games.
This.
The challenge would be making the characters play fairly different from each other while not losing too much of the deeper mechanics these games tend to have. Platinum has been on a roll with Transformers and TMNT - and when someone mentioned what kind of game RWBY could have, they were the first developer that came to mind.
Some ideas for playstyles for the main four:
- Ruby - fast running speed, has a distant dash move (that can be used in midair), and has several wide-area crowd control moves, making her effective against normal mooks. Her slow attack speed means she has trouble against single elite mooks or bosses, however - unless you use her rifle's bullets (which could be a limited dust meter) to close or widen the distance between them, as well as activate her powerful room-clearing spinning attacks.
- Weiss - Trap Master; she could place glyphs on the ground or midair that can freeze or stun her enemies, leaving them open for her slow-charging spells/summons. Maybe give her the ability to buff/debuff as well. Her fast movement would be ground-only - skating across the floor to keep her distance - and her attacks could mostly end in push-back effects to let her control the enemy's distance from her.
- Blake - Fragile Speedster, natch, with the fastest normal running speed. Her dash is a short dodge, but can consume dust to leave clones with various elemental effects - or serve as additional projectiles in a pinch (eg. kicking a stone clone with a stun effect towards an enemy). Her attacks would be highly acrobatic, near-constantly moving her around, and be cancelable into dodges, letting her circle her opponent without losing her effective distance.
- Yang - a Mighty Glacier and the slowest of the four, who only has a short dodge roll and a dust-consuming dash as her evasion options. Her moves would also have little stepping around, meaning she'd be getting hit more often... with would tie into a rage meter for her that, once filled up, drastically increases her raw attack and attack speed for the duration of the effect.
I'd like to point this out: Yang's only a Mighty Glacier in reference to team RWBY, but is Lightning Bruiser compared to every other team, hell compared to most other characters.

So playing as Blake would basically let you play as Bayonetta.
Her hair is also made out of clothes?

She's not even a Mighty Glacier when compared to the rest of her team. Mighty Glacier is about power output at the expense of speed/mobility. The only way Yang could be a Mighty Glacier is if the activation of her Semblance destroys her speed and/or mobility in the process. There's been no sign that happens (her speed/mobility doesn't appear to change at all).
Anyway, while her team-mates have Semblances that can enhance their speed or dodging abilities, when they're not using their Semblances, they've never displayed different speed/mobility to anyone else. Using a speed Semblance to claim someone without a speed Semblance is a Mighty Glacier would be the same as claiming Yang's Super-Toughness means everyone else is a Glass Cannon.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Platinum Games smooth controls and deep combat mixed with Cyber Connect 2's penchant for visual flare, and over the top interactive cutscenes that actually feel like a game because of how much you press in them would make any property, including RWBY into an awesome action game.

Admittedly, me thinking of Yang as a Mighty Glacier was an attempt to give the four a good amount of variation, rather than just having four Lightning Bruisers with different moves. Her being the slowest could also be relative - Yang could still be moving a a speed we would consider fast, but everyone else moves even faster.

You know, the fact that RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is basically RWBY Warriors(Remnant Warriors?) makes me think Tecmo Koei could make a better version.
"having four Lightning Bruisers with different moves"
Uhhh... Weiss, Ruby and Blake are Lightning Bruisers? What
Okay, maybe I'm more tired than I thought.
What I meant was that I wouldn't want to see everyone moving at the same speed (which would typically be 'blisteringly fast' in a Platinum game), and Yang seemed like the closest one could get to a 'slow' character among the main four - mostly to tie better into her canon 'rage mode'.

They most likely could, yeah. Even as a long-time Koei Warriors fan, though, I still think spectacle fighters would be a much more appropriate fit, if only for the crazy awesome things Platinum-developed characters become capable of which would match the crazy awesome of RWBY's fight scenes. Platinum even tried doing 4-player co-op with Mutants in Manhattan (I still need to get that game some time
), and if they can work out the kinks, it could work.
Rwby and Weiss could be the two fast characters. Weiss' default speed being slower, because her ability and all.
Yang and "Blake" could be two more slower characters added to the game at a later date than initially planned causing the game to be delayed and it shows because they're noticeably worse than the other characters in both combat and animations.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yang's as fast as Blake and Weiss when Blake's nut using her Semblance to Flash Step.
Honestly, I think it'd be like this:
- Ruby - Style - Fragile Speedster/Glass Cannon: Area-of-effect attacks, more focused on hit-and-run tactics. Would have issues with singular enemies.
- Weiss - Style - Squishy Wizard: Buffer/Debuffer-based, more of a support for multiplayer. Difficult, but Awesome when solo (emphasis on the "Difficult")
- Blake - Style - Fragile Speedster: Focused on hit-and-run tactics, but otherwise the anti-Ruby. Strong against singular targets, terrible against waves.
- Yang - Style - Lightning Bruiser: Tanky, hard-hitting, fast, the blonde bombshell has it all. Her Semblance is a Critical Status Buff, the more damage she takes, the more she deals out, but getting too low puts her in danger of being taken out.
"Rwby"? Really? Now you're purposely not spelling the character's names right

Wouldn't that risk having most players prefer to use Yang above the others, though? Especially if the other three aren't as hardy as her, even with their respective strengths. If we could consider Gameplay and Story Segregation, I still think Yang's the best option out of the four to slow down somewhat for balancing (and maybe give Ruby the most 'normal' defense, too - the 'Ryu' of the four), if only to ensure that all of them are able to cater to different play styles without one overshadowing the rest.
T He issue is Ruby is faster of the group but quite crappy in deense, I mean she go punch by mook when losing her cresent rose, Yang is for reason the best fighter of RWBY, even them she got her ass handle by Neo and Adam show her why you dont mess with edgelord. so she should be more difcult to play?
I feel Yang would be like scorpion in MKX, the perfect option for new players

But you only asked Randomness to stop doing the Black "Blake" thing and I've been doind the Rwby thing for just as long I believe.
The inconvenience of this not being a true nickname, ruins the search.

You know what I want to see eventually in regards to RWBY video games?
