I'd also argue she got too many wins at once. Two main character deaths, a fallen enemy kingdom and main character's all demotivated, AND becoming one of the most powerful characters of the season?
If she wins more, then you risk Darkness Induced Apathy. But if she suddenly loses all her luck and starts getting creamed all the time you wonder the opposite happens.
No one is complaining that Cinder's plan succeeded. People are complaining that it succeeded utterly flawlessly.
Like, this is some TACTICAL GENIUS on the level of Urskar E. Creed

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.@AJ Sthe2nd: I don't think the kingdom fell. It seems like a single city did along with Beacon. Unless Vale is actually a city state and not the huge piece of land we saw in the official map.
True,it was only beacon that fell. Not Vale entirely.Though with growing a army of grimm on their doorstep they're not a particularly in a good position.
'Yeah I really don't see what Cinder would possibly gain from having to spend time in a school far away from where her plans are actually taking place, '
She did mention Mistral in her speech ( Mistral being in trouble doesnt seem to be common knowledge). And Adam referenced that he was going there before Cinder recruited him .Its clearly a point of interest to the story.

They managed to save the city. Only Beacon fell.
The maps annoy me. Many of them look as if the City of Vale or Beacon is in the center of the continent it's on, despite the map I saw in volume 1 of Vale puts the city to the west of the dot indicated on some of the world maps.

"Its amazing how you can Ron the Death Eater a character who's already an asshole to begin with. That takes true talent. "
Which is even funnier consider Adam looks like draco in latter pant bait: bad boy bishonnen, powerfull and with somewhat good motive, you a least expect the whole "he is good gu/yang atack first!" I cant understand this fandom
About Cinder seeking around...please, is not that dificult, she just have to fudge the hack system and move away, consider how little atantion she rise herself
"unless we're talking about the anime which went Off the Rails of the manga and started making shit up as it went along"
Esdeath in the anime almost border villian sue level and her defeat was a little bit asspull anyway.
Now about her plan being perfect...to be fair what happen here is that the wasnt any moment where the villian screw out, it wasnt a "wait a moment" or something like that, usually in this case of stories a protagonist start investigating or villian does something stuip and here that....never happen.
that it, a plot that never happen
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"We can't expect Ms. Flame lady to make any stoopid mistakes now, right after she made this genius plan? No way would it be acceptable.
Instead...I think it should be the almighty Edge lord Adam who screws everything up in the end...because we know not how handles victory and progress other than violence.

No, that happen at middle of it, there is Cinder who is going to do something soon, in this type of plot someone find something and try to investigate with diferent level of sucess, instead....nothing happen, Crow dosent even come close to find Cinder and Ruby onloy glimpsy to the very end.
This remind me to movie Argo where someone try to sneak couple of diplomat out of Irak, the last part of the movie is play with expectation that something can go wrong and all that, but when you read in the TV trope page aparenly the whole thing when pefectly fine....but you can made a movie without that dosent it?
That happen here, there wasnt any drama, any middle plot in the tournament, things run good until it wasnt and them when to hell
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Which still means nothing here since we're not that far into the story yet.
The page is misleading then. I own that movie and at least two things go wrong. The suspense isn't that these problems make for some give and take between the protagonists and the Iranians, it's seeing if these problems get them killed.

It worked...is just that something unexpected happened that prevented her from making any future plans. The plan was to get the power and now that she has it, she has no more of a reason to live.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. She can't become a park ranger if she's frozen on top of the tower...and to think, if Rwby's power activated when Amazon was shot in the heart instead of when she disintergrated, they probably could've saved her.

Her plans could succeed...just not as flawlessly as they did, that appears to be the 2nd problem.
