A Fluff Ringer

...I don't like that Jaune detail one bit. Pushing Lancaster sucks.
Lancaster will be pushed. Anyway i suspect Weiss has basically given up and has resided herself to her fate but Winter will give her the pep talk and it will lead to Weiss going to Patch without her father's knowledge. Miles has said Yang will get into conflict with all the RWBY members so Weiss will be trying to convince Yang to come with her but Yang is do apathetic and depressed - eventually Weiss covinces Yang to come with her to find Blake. The two find Blake and then the three set off to find Ruby. I suspect WBY reuniting with last most of not all of Volume 4 with the finale being all 4 of them together at last
Ruby resembles a cross between Hotsuma and Byakuya now.
I think I would've been more wowed if I hadn't known about the new outfits beforehand. The trailer didn't really dazzle me like Volume 2's did, but it was exciting to see new footage nonetheless.
I really hope it's not an immediate timeskip, or that they at least do some flashbacks. Also, I really don't see how that guy mistook Ruby for Summer - white cloak/red cloak.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Perhaps. Still, imagine all the shenanigans they could've gotten into on that trip. With all the political turmoil going on, what was getting across the border like?
They still have to deal with the fallout from Pyrrha's death also. Months and months have gone by, and I'm going to have to assume they've either managed to cope, or they haven't and it was a really quiet trip to Mistral.
But lets Hand Wave that with the fact that everyone processes grief differently - there's months of political unrest going on. Blake has been on the run, the White Fang have ruined Beacon and possibly Vale. How was that situation defused, last we saw the Grimm were wrecking the place. Did the mysterious Vale council declare National Weed, Yoga, and Masturbation Day to make sure the Grimm were staved off?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Well the positive news is that Yang is still moping, so we will see how she gets over having a single arm.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That can happen later...like sometime after she gets use to fighting with one arm, because that'll somehow improve her fighting ability and getting that new arm will somehow cripple her again.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That's a good idea because it's the one thing no one would, should, or could expect.
Also it doesn't make sense, but that's only because it's a twist.

- Off Topic but after thinking about it Goodbye Nostalgia (Kaykion's Theme) from Jo Jo's Bizzare Adventure fits remarkably well for Pyrrha - you would have to change a few lyrics but it fits really well. Hell Pyrrha is pretty much RWBY's Kakyion - Two redheaded high school students that were brutally murdered by one of the main villains in their last ditch efforts to protect their friends. They've never had many friends before joining up with a team of like minded individuals either, which is why they are quite kind and fiercely loyal.

I'm not a huge fan of Ruby's new look for the same reason I didn't like her Hunter uniform. The paler greyish colour looks really bad on her. It doesn't suit her at all. I'm not a fan of thigh-high stockings either.
On the other hand, I really like Weiss, Blake and Yang's new looks. Blake especially is much improved (even if she's got a bit of a 'high plains drifter' look to her now). I have a soft spot for Yang's new look because that's my sort of style anyway, but Weiss looks really good. I think her appearance has improved the most. Although I didn't particularly like Blake's previous appearance, it worked well for the animation. Weiss didn't. While we were supposed to see that they were probably 'rich' clothes, they just seemed starched and tacky. This new look is elegant and much more mature while still being 'girly' (it doesn't quite scream 'woman' yet). It's not my style, but it works really well for Weiss.
Looking at her pony tail, however... it's central. Monty said her pony tail was off-centre because it was rebellion against her father. Does the central pony tail mean he's broken her spirit (for now, at least)?
Few words about the trailer:
I do like how ragged Ruby's appearance is, the implication that life's rough at the moment - I do like that, and I like what we see of her Semblance and how she's using it to fight. That looks awesome - and new Grimm! I don't know why that guy thought she was Summer or why she'd be using her silver eyes, however.
My guess is that the trailer is the opening scene of Volume 4. That whole scene with Ruby's appearance being completely hidden and the way Crescent Rose appears and the teasing until we finally get a good look at Ruby's face and entire appearance? That's an introduction technique - designed to show us that Ruby's appearance has changed - both clothing and age-wise. My guess is that's the first time in Volume 4 we see Ruby, so it's probably the start of the first episode, or very close to the start. The other reason is because the fight really makes me remember the Red trailer. It doesn't massively copy the obvious bits from the Red Trailer, but the Red Trailer was showcasing Crescent Rose and summing up the fighting style of what was to come - and I got that same feeling from Ruby's fight here.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Well, now the Beowolves have figured out they have thumbs. What's next, Grimm using more advanced weapons?
Were those definitely beowolves? I wasn't sure if they were or were another canine-esque Grimm. If they are bewolves, I approve - they look so much better than they did in previous volumes.
And isn't 'beringel' from the Portuguese word for an aubergine?
