For anyone that's interested, the 8 Tracks app now has multitrack versions of various songs from Volume 3's soundtrack.
That app's pretty interesting just for the fact that multitracks for the RWBY tracks are being offered alone.
I actually feel like Ruby would still be an Ozpin loyalist and would gladly sacrifice herself for the greater good if called to do so. Which considering the implications doing this isn't really helping much, is probably a bad thing.
Someone else is probably going to come into conflict with that, and stop her from throwing herself away for a tempoary reprieve.
That's a major FFX spoiler, by the by, but I feel like it's not much of a spoiler anymore.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! And now I can't enjoy the PS 4 remaster. Thanks.
Joking, had it spoiled a long time ago. I don't see Ruby being all that loyal to Ozpin, even knowing the fragments of his purpose that we currently know. She hasn't known him that long, had 4-5 conversations with him on screen. And while she fits the standard, idealistic fantasy hero mold, we've already seen Yang's sunny disposition burn her, Blake's newfound confidence disappear, and Weiss's gradual friendliness melt as she's whisked away by her father, probably not to see the friends she's made at Beacon for a long, long time.
So Ruby's optimism will probably scatter into the wind at some point. She's definitely going to rebel against whatever Ozpin's master plan was, or will be.
I really like how Mr. Schnee just appears in the last episode. I expected something dramatic since Weiss refused to speak to him in Season 2, but the camera just slides over to show him sitting next to Weiss, a dour expression on his face.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I mean, she saw penny getting torn into piece by Phyrra and them Phyrra being transform into dust and YET she still show that optimist so no, she is not going to fall.
But that dosent mean they arent going to try, I can imagine a moment when she fall into desapair just to wake up again, that happen with Naruto facing Obito(who use evil talk no jutsu on him, which make him my favorite villian) so I can see the same.
And when it come to morality, is clear Ruby and her team are brightest, Ozpin is moral dubious(and they seen to be counter of the main team: Ironwood/Winter=Weiss,Qrow=ruby and some on) and Salem and her group being the villian.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I mean if Ruby has the choice of certain death to save x amount of people now, or leaving them to their fate to maybe save greater amounts of people down the line, what do you think she'd pick? As it is she's facing certain death by going after Cinder now knowing full well she's outclassed for the moment, because she's the only known target and she wants to do something, instead of just going back to her training and hoping things don't get too bad until she can become a professional.
usually in that kind of situations, ether there is a third option or the hero find a way to outsmart the villian, that is why Ruby is the protagonist and not Ozpin or Qrow.
Also, I think we are going to see more villian, because if Salem want the other maiden power, she will need more people unless Cinder can take more power at once(which would make her SUPER op)
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Judging by Salem's song, she seems to think the key to defeating Ozpin is to destroy his optimism for humanity's future, and that the key to destroying that is to destroy the optimism of the 'small, honest soul'. So, the key to defeating Ozpin is to break Ruby - at least, the song indicates that's what Salem thinks.
Forget whether or not Ruby is going to lose faith in Ozpin at any point (even if only temporarily), the song implies that Salem's plan is to make Ozpin lose faith in Ruby. She isn't trying to kill Ozpin at the moment, she's trying to break him.
Which suggests to me that Salem was the one who got broken at some point - so she wants Ozpin to break the way she did.
Ruby's going to turn out to be stronger than anyone (including Ozpin) thinks - she may have that cliff of despair that Salem wants to push her off at some point (because that'll be the point where Salem can render Ozpin most vulnerable), but she'll ride through it and come out the other side stronger than she was before.
Judging by the volume finale, Volume 4 will take place in winter, so I'm expecting the next Maiden we'll deal with will be the Winter Maiden.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
I think the same, also it looks ike atlas is next in line for Cinder atack, they take the biggest hit after the vytal festival debacle, is clear they are next.
And simple soul is more of summer, who aparenly disapear or even die when Ozpin send her to a mission, I think Salem now Ruby is Opzin secret weapon to defeat the grimm and her(and now she know who she is) and is wating for it, to destroy the trimpuh card of Ozpin and show him the result of all his life and misleads, is posible Salem will use the truth he hide to broke her and show what a hunter really is.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Maybe she'll fall as Salem plans...then proceed to go on a murderous rampage through the entirety of Team EVIL.

I think Yang will encounter Raven and tell her daughter about all the secrets Ozpin has kept hidden. It would may for a interesting dynamic - Both Yang and Ruby are good pepole but Raven/Yang do not trust authority/Ozpin and believe that the world should be completly reformed with no Council and Ozpin while Ruby is loyal to Ozpin and his goals and unlike Raven and Yang trust him to make right decision and believe he should lead
I said plenty of time before but Ozpin team look like a harsher, greyer version of the main heros:
-Qrow have issue with people like Ruby, but while the latter is awkard, the former is just plain dickish
-Winter is more perfecionist and more military oriented that Weiss, she care for her sister but her own way can create friccion
-Now funny thing is that Raven is not the harsher version of Yang, but Adam: but are bullhead people who are set right into something and tend to not lisent everyone else(after all there is a reason Blake was worry)
-And for some reason I see Ozpin as harsh version of Jaune, both encorage other and seen to be leader and both use to lie, both while one grow out of it, the other sink more and probably will paid for it.
For me this is going to clash as Ruby try to find the correct path, she is going to sink for a moment but her friend are going to save her, you know classy anime stuff
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
Maybe said she will be the harsh counterpart to Yang, other that she and Adam have a conection(both use the same style mask, have sword, etc) her presence is just enought to make Neo fuck off and Qrow dosent like her(which is saying something consider him) and Monty used to have plan of Raven atacking JNPR to "foreshadow things to come" which pain her a wild card at best.
Pretty much the only thing we can say conclusively about Raven is that she's not as bad a mother as Medusa or Ragyo.

More like we got whatever Ozpin's path was. That road is currently closed on account of a hijacking.
