Someone should ask RT if dusts can be used like drugs or something. I know they won't be doing that for the show, but again, I'm curious.
But I can see dust worshiping as a form of... animism, was it? I dunno if that's the right word.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.-taps mic-
Hello, all you good people of Remnant and the RWBY thread, and welcome to another episode of "Undying Phoenix makes RWBY Kombatants"! I am your titular, Black Sun-supporting host, Undying Phoenix, and I may just have made a terrible mistake by eating a sour milk tart. Potential food poisoning or not, the show must go on! Let's start where we left off last time: Yang and Ruby's Fatalities!
Yang Fatality 1
Explosive Sunrise
Yang goes Super Yang, loading red Dust shells into Ember Celica before a crouching, spinning uppercut that sends her opponent straight up into the air. With a rapid series of punches, she juggles the opponent in the air with explosive Dust shots, blasting holes in them. She finishes off with one last powerful punch that pierces right through the opponent as they fall down. She then punches them off. The camera then focuses on her taking a deep breath and deactivating her Semblance, followed by smiling smugly as she puts on foot on their back, leaning over them.
Yang Fatality 2
Burning Barrage
Once again, Yang activates her Semblance to its final stage, and starts battering the opponent with a Dempsey Roll-esque series of punches, breaking several bones. Everything except her hair, eyes and Ember Celica then turns grayscale, like in the Yellow trailer, as she goes for one last, powerful punch that sends the opponents torso flying and completely crushes their head. The camera then focuses on her slowly calming down and lowering her fists, taking deep breaths.
Ruby Fatality 1
Red Like Blood
Ruby starts twirling CR around her like in the Red trailer, gradually cutting deeper and deeper into her opponent, before finally hacking off all their limbs and head in one fell series of sweeps. The camera then focuses on her hiding her face as she bows her head, breathing heavily, much like when she fought the Griffin before Roman.
Ruby Fatality 2
Rondo of Roses
Ruby uses her Semblance at it's most powerful to dash repeatedly and slice the opponent from multiple angles in seconds, before finally dashing past them to create a whirlwind like she did in the food fight. As the opponent flies towards her, she raises CR and slices them clean in half. The camera then focuses on her taking a quick, deep breath, before dashing off again.

You know, I am surprised that Addiction-Powered is a thing.
So would snorting Dust make you metaphorically and literally Power High?

Only sometimes postsHello again, dear viewers! I'd ask if you believe in destiny, but I thought that would be one painful reference too many. Welcome back in any case! I am your Arkos-grieving presenter, Undying Phoenix, and I hope you enjoyed our short commercial break! Don't get me wrong, I've come to terms with our dearly beloved Pyrrha's death, but a man can still grieve when painfully reminded via Myrtenaster to the heart.
You know him, you love him, you hate him, because He's The One....It's everyone's favourite lead-legged douchebag...
Mercury Black!
Black Boot: Mercury goes for powerful kicks that launch his opponents away in this variation. Slow on speed and weak in combos, it more than makes up for this with its sheer power and knockback.
Unarmed Assassin: All-out speed and acrobatics define this variation. Hail down a storm of kicks on your opponent, battering them repeatedly with little windows of opening with this combo-centric, if low-powered, style.
Silver Wind: Mercury uses the wind blasts ejected by his boots to blast opponents from mid range. Perfect for either close combat or keeping the opponent a safe distance away as you get ready for your next blitz of kicks!

Well, before Christianity, it was associated with a horrible punishment. That doesn't quite fit with Ruby to me.
Though of course it could mean something totally different on Remnant.

@RWBY episode airing on Christmas. I expect either An Ass-Kicking Christmas... or a repeat of Valentine's Day. Or both.
Or for a surprise twist, it's just a winter holiday of some sort.
On a side note, RWBY seems like the kind of series where a Beach Episode would turn into a fight against a shark Grimm or something. Aaaand now I'm starting to imagine swimwear for everyone.
-buries face in hands-
We've gotten back onto the topic of 'iron wood' again. Oh dear...
I'll be off, trying to find the Brain Bleach.

He's a "Show, don't tell" kind of guy.
I was so afraid you'd head into mankini territory at this point that I almost stopped reading!
Then I realised I was being silly.
It's Port who has the mankini.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.

Dust worship.
Which Cinder is a part of. They just roll around in huge piles of the stuff.
Ah, remember when we used to make jokes like that?
