I find it interesting that with the potential for war between the kingdoms breaking out again, the main characters are all grouped within their kingdom affiliation. Sun aside, RNJR is the Vale kids. Weiss is probably not going to allowed back to Vale so if she wants to continue her Huntress path she'll have to make due with Atlas. And Blake didn't originally have an affiliation and now she's back to being rogue.
In the event war does break out, the possibility the kingdoms could call up their Huntsmen to be soldiers would also extend to the students. All those teams engaged in friendly competition in the Vytal Festival could very well be sent out to combat each other in a war.
This seems to be Salem's game plan according to "Divide" where she wants nothing more than to watch everyone divided and killing each other. Ozpin and Co were acting in the best interest of humanity as a whole, Oz himself didn't want his students being soldiers. Ironwood was more heavy handed, but while he technically answered to Atlas, he was clearly promoting his army as a pan-kingdom defense force and still wanted to coordinate with Ozpin to that goal. Atlas and Ironwood, as far as we know, are discredited, so all's that left is to have the Huntsmen slay each other to bring Ozpin's dreams crashing down.
Salem is genresavy to know if everyone united they can defeat her and aknowlage suck with very normal tone, almost as fact so that is why she go in "divide and conquer" now there is the implication this system is artificial, that Ozpin have his hand on it and there is a couple of thing he hide from everyone, not sorprising almost all villian are what you can call "scum": the son of a murder, a petty thief, a criminal and her hechment and terrorist for a cause, they atack from shadow and create chaos....but whatever one wanted or no, she have points: Atlas is acting like superpower,Ozpin is keeping thing secrets, they create a robot capable of being around people...that shit is scary and for a reason
I keep saying that Atlas is next in line, since is the one most hit for whole incident
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Even if war does break out, which is probably going to happen, I doubt any of the main characters will actually participate and fight in a war they know is BS when they have a much more obvious enemy. RNJR isn't even in Vale anymore, and their academy is defunct, so they've no reason to follow any orders given to attack other countries.
Two thing are going to happen here:
Ether they try to advert the war by finding the real guilty or
There is one but Ruby and her group try to find Cinder out of it.
Granted I dont think that is going to happen now, first thing in order is to find who is Cinder and what she wants
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Just pointing out that as per WOR huntsmen and humtresses are free from allegiences to kingdoms. Once graduated they can chose whom they work for. Atlas gets flak because they pressure their students to join the military after graduation.
So there is no obligation for Vale hunters to side with their own kingdom.
I think it will be in the background. It will make getting around finding Cinder difficult, and maybe some idiots will attack them because they assume they're involved in the war, but none of the main characters will actually fight in it. They all know it's a set up. Ruby and Weiss aren't going to try to kill each other because their leaders are stupid.
They'll probably angst about how the people their trying to protect are so dumb, and Cinder will probably try to turn them because of this, but they'll likely get over it and their goal will be to expose Cinder and Salem before all the countries kill each other.

oh but they will fight, as far Vale is concern Atlas plan a little robot machurian agent right there and them help white fang in atacking, in fact for many Roman will be a Atlas agent send to vale to cause mayheim(after all he was with Ironwood, dosent it)? is kind of hard to not join the war.
In fact, how the war can play up in this setting? almost all territory is hold by the grimm, I cant only see Air-earth operation but anything else...is dificult to play a war in that kind of condition
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"You use the Atlesian Air Fleeeeeeeeeeeet! Which means you can fly right over their Ursai and attack their walls directly!
And since Atlas is part of Mantle, your repair time only last one turn.

They get killed in the cross-fire, nothing to worry about.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.@ Unknowing: Right, but there is no obligation for any hunter to side with anyone. You can't make sweeping generalisations on how the Beacon students will react when the key thing Ozpin and company tried to instill was individuality and creativity. The most likely situation is that they'll be split in how they'd respond to any war. Some who might hail from Vale might side with their homeland, others in the same boat might side with their fellow students. Vale born and bred students might chose to stay uninvolved. etc. etc.
Anyway, I'll be working on some more MKXRWBY stuff if anyone has any requests.

Alright then, here's the General from Atlas himself!
Variations:
- Revolver: His revolver doesn't have a name yet but that's not going to stop me from using it. Using his revolver and alternating between normal shots and explosive ones to control the enemy at long range and using it as a club in close range.
- Iron Will: The brawler variation, using his iron arm to throw his opponent around.
- Atlesian General: The minion class, his special moves focus on using Atlas soldiers, robots and Paladin suits to deliver extra damage (for example, an combo that ends with an uppercut followed by a Paladin rushing in and knocking them away).
X-Ray: ''Who's your Daddy?"
The opponent swings with a left at Ironwood, which he blocks by grabbing their forearm breaking the bones. He shoots both kneecaps then flips them over and bringing their shoulder down on his, breaking it. He finishes up by bringing his revolver up and firing a shot through their skull.
Fatalities:
Iron Grip
Ironwood grabs his opponent's right forearm and tears it off. As they scream in pain be brings his metal leg down and breaks their left leg at the shin. While they're wobbling he pulls back his iron fist and then gives a haymaker that takes their jaw clear off, sending them down.
Might of Atlas
Ironwood kneecaps his opponent and grabs them by the throat. With a cold stare into their eyes he throws them up into the air where they are caught by grappling hooks from two airships as a third opens up it's doors to reveal Atlas troops with weapons at the ready. With the command to fire given by Ironwood they unload on his opponent, riddling their body with bullet holes before they go limp.
Dialogue
Ironwood: Get your army out of my kingdom.
Kotal Kahn: Atlas must pay for it's transgressions.
Ironwood: Not before Outworld pays for theirs.
Kano: Going somewhere tin man?
Ironwood: That's general to you Kano.
Kano: I'll make sure to put that on your tombstone.
And since it was requested:
Pyrrha: I don't wish to fight you Kahn.
Kotal Kahn: We don't always get what we want.
Pyrrha: I know that all to well.
Pyrrha: Do you believe in destiny?
Kotal Kahn: I do.
Pyrrha: Then I truly envy you.

Honestly, RWBY fighters fit better in Arc System Works fighters or other Doujin Fighter style games then slow ass mortal kombat.
Watch SymphogearBut the pre-battle quotes from MKX are just too good to pass up. >.>
- Johnny Cage: Seeing red, Ferdinand?
- Adam: I'll cut off that tongue of yours.
- Johnny Cage: I guess I get the horns in the end.
- Penny: Another robot?
- Triborg: All we see is a doll.
- Penny: Way to be a jerk.
- Neo: =)
- Kenshi: Well, this is awkward.
