Best guess with Raven is she was trying to kill Pyrrha preemptively, either because she didn't want her to be a maiden, or she knew Cinder planned on using her to kickstart the Grimm attack and was removing that option from the table.
If she was actually working with Salem and Cinder it would be in her best interest to let things unfold as they were so I'd count that out.
Well, her killing a studen would shut down the whole festival dosent it? that would prevet the whle thing,
Also I think Penny is going to return as normal without any problem in that part....BUT, i think she will take a while for come back, consider how bad Atlas have in the end of volume 3, the idea of letting her alive would come up, after all nobody want that little mistake going around, dosent it?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
x8: Welcome to the thread. Be crazy... but not too crazy. We already have dRoy for that.
Not convinced the intention was for Raven to actually kill a student. More like the anime/manga tradition of using killing intent to make the protagonist think their life is on the line so they're either forced to power up to survive and/or to discover who they truly are as a person in a life-or-death situation.
- First-year education, Day 1: get thrown off a cliff into a forest full of Grimm.
- First-year education, Day 2: fight a Grimm in the middle of the classroom.
Do we really think Ozpin would be incapable of ordering a life-or-death attack scenario on a team of kids with mysterious/special snowflake back stories in order to assess their potential and kick-start their development as part of his mysterious, secret agenda?

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.![]()

Memories? The personality can be bringed back, but not the memorial stuff.
The way these things usually go is that the memory core gets partially fried, so the back-up has to be used re-uploaded, cue starting from scratch. Or the memory is rebooted so might take some time for the old personality and memories to return. Or the old personality is seen by the creators as the flaw that led to the crisis and so try to wipe the memories concerned. Except the wipe doesn't take permanently, and the memories creep back slowly.
Those are three of the most common scenarios I see where ridiculously human robots are concerned.
Right back at the beginning of RWBY, I remember Monty, Miles and Kerry saying that they had been reading some of the fan theories on what they thought the story would be, where it would go, and how it would end. The trio said they'd found one on tumblr that was almost exactly what the plot was. They then sat back and said, now watch as the fandom tries to figure our which tumblr theory they're talking about.
So, either they were trolling, or someone out there guessed really, really well.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Pyrrha Nikos Fatality 1:
(Dawn Of The Red)
Pyrrha tosses Milo at her foe. The javelin travels at high speeds before lodging itself into the victim's chest cavity.
Pyrrha rushes forwards and tears the spear out before she spins her body and decapitates her foe in one clean stroke. The body falls backwards as Pyrrha catches her enemy's head in her hand to hold it high.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!![]()
The same can being said for every character ever going to Mortal Kombat.
I think Pyrrha is too nice to even kill someone in a really gruesome way.
Unless she comes back in canon and becomes an emotional mess. Then goes murdering every fucking person she sees.
Man imagine if she gets in Killer Instinct? I hope that other Cinder doesn't turn her into ashes too ![]()

Uni catPyrrha performing fatalities would probably horrify the FNDM slightly. Except... she kinda already did perform one. By accident.
If Pyrrha was in Mortal Kombat, all her fatalities would be accidental. Topped off with "I'm sorry!"

Pyrrha Nikos Fatality 2:
(Not Sorry)
Pyrrha summons two massive spiked walls on either side of her victim.
The victim is too dazed to move as Pyrrha shifts Milo into rifle mode and kills her opponent with a clean headshot.
As the opponent falls, Pyrrha turns away and flicks her hand forwards. She walks away as the metal walls close in and crush her enemy to paste.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth! So I just rewatched Volume 1 and I honestly have to say: Cardin's voice still bugs me. Like that's some Vocal Dissonance going on there.
Like going from his appearance you'd expect him to have a deeper voice, but that voice is.... very nasally and on the higher end of the spectrum. Hell, it's higher than Jaune's.
-Beat-
I think we found a trope to add to Cardin's entry

Might as well poke my head in here real quick, since I'm getting into RWBY and I recently watched
and got spoiled forVol. 3, my feelings on which can be summarized in four words...So, yeah, might poke in here from time to time. Nice to meet you all.
