Shane was having his own problems, but he persevered for Monty...
This is goddamn heretical. It's the only word I can think of to describe this situation.
You know what, fuck it; I'm gonna use what Monty had really planned for in my RWBY fanfics. To be honest, I like what V3 had shown to us... but I think by adding more of Monty's ideas will make it better. It may not be much or everything, but Monty Oum is worth honoring.
Oh, man... do you think his brother Neath knows of this?
Damn... RT look so fun to work with, but like every company that ever existed; it eventually fades away as business and money and all those nonsense took priority.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.... Yeah, you're right. Gotta stay frosty about this, regardless of how this infuriates me.
Guess we just have to wait for a few days and see if this fire will become either fade immediately or will rage like an inferno.
If you don't mind, can I get the link to the reddit thread, or is that now allowed for this site? (I don't really remember what's okay to be linked here, other than tokusatsu episodes and stuff)
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. Here's the Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/RWBY/comments/4j28ds/shane_newville_an_open_letter_to_all_who/
Here's my take on this issue.
Like several others said, let's wait for more info.
I've both witnessed and been involved in this kind of dispute. Remember, almost everyone can be an Unreliable Narrator in a conflict like this. Even more importantly, when we jump into conclusion, we might just blame the innocent party. And there is no way we can make up for mental anguish inflicted from unjust accusations.
So, let's take a breath and let thid event unfold more. Let's leave aside the finger pointing for now, there will be plenty of time for that later.

Well it would've taken away one character moment from the main character who barely gets any focus.
If I've learned anything from Lupagate over at Channel Awesome, this stuff will blow over in about a week or two.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Important point from the Reddit thread.
While I don't doubt that RT could have handled some things better, this actually makes me understanding of why they might have needed to fire Shane
Well, here's the thing: If Rooster Teeth doesn't comment on it, then that's some pretty damning credence to Shane's comments.
However, if they do comment on it, people will say they're just covering their asses.
Basically, damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Basically, but she was the only person who Monty basically told everything to about RWBY, so.... they easily could have kept her on as a creative consultant or something

Sheena never worked for Rooster Teeth to begin with.
Dammit. I may sound like a dick, but I'd like to hear whatever information she's been told by Monty about RWBY. I get the "sounds good on paper" thing, but as I said before, What Could Have Been galore...
Anyway, I do wonder why Raven attacked JNPR. Is she testing them? Is the theory that she can see the future is true and she was going to kill one of them, causing the fight to happen?

Well Monty was gonna apparently have Yang actually beat Adam, which would've been dumb. To be fair, it's not like Monty hasn't had to change things up while writing RWBY.
