A Drake is usually a smaller version of a Wyrm (think classic European Dragon)... or a young Wyrm
. Instead of the size of like... a house (or bigger), a drake is something like 15-20 feet long.
Wyverns usually have no set size, but tend to be decently big.

Though, Super Shenron from Dragon Ball Super might be the largest dragon in any form of media ever; it starts out as comparable in size to a Saturn or Jupiter like planet, and ends up so massive, that entire galaxies are the size of its teeth.

Io, the creator of Dragonkind would beg to differ. How's this?
"Io is unfathomably large; it is said the largest dragon who ever lived is no bigger than a single one of his scales, which are blue, gold, brass, or red, and edged with silver and dark purple. He can, and does, appear as any age or breed of dragon, however."
Hell, in some myths of D&D the Prime Material plane is on Io's back

In D&D the largest dragons[note get upwards of 120+ feet long. Io's scales are bigger than the largest dragon to ever live. Now, imagine just how many scales a dragon has.
Dude, we're talking about a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann-sized dragon here, possibly a Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann-sized one. It is so large that for you to make a wish with it, you have to go inside it, and talk to its core/nucleus. Hell, there's a miniature universe inside its body.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!So in another random RWBY thought of the day, what do tropers think Summer Rose's involvement in the main plot will be? Is she really dead or did she join Raven in the "abandon your daughter" club? Was she a maiden? Was she killed by Salem and her forces? Did she really just go out on a mission and get killed in an unrelated occurrence and play no part in any future developments?

She might not be. Following general story telling techniques, her death very well may have been presumed rather than actual, and her being alive would serve as a twist.
Also Red Like Roses part II has her singing and alluding to an important role that she had that led to her demise/disappearance.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeThe Prime material Plane is the entire Universe. I've seen variations where every Outer Plane is a dragon, they all combine into two dragons and Io is the size of both of those combined. Remember that every plane is at least the size of a Universe with most outer planes being several Universes joined together.

On Summer Rose: I honestly have no idea what to think on the question I posed. I always took it for granted that she was dead and would play no part in the main plot, but considering they Never Found the Body and the fact that Summer also had silver eyes makes me think she might have an impact, either posthumously or in the living flesh. What that would be is impossible to pin down considering how little we know about Salem or the Silver Eyes power; my bet if she is dead is that Salem killed her (either by proxy or directly), and if she's alive then either Salem has her imprisoned or has forced her into hiding to avoid putting her family in danger, and will be revealed when she saves Ruby and/or Yang from trouble. If the latter we'll get a flashback showing what happened and giving more explanation to the backstory.
It also reminds me of the fact that we don't know what half of team STRQ's weapons were. We kind of assume that Tai is a brawler since Yang seems to take after him more while Ruby takes after Qrow, but we have no guesses at what Summer could have used. Also, I'm still sticking with the headcanon that Summer has the highest alcohol tolerance of her team, and once drank Qrow, Tai and Raven under the table before walking it off. If she is alive then upon meeting Qrow again she will steal his hip flask and drink it's entire contents in one go before saying that he's getting soft in his old age.
On cybernetics eating your aura, I doubt it. Ironwood is half-cybernetics and while we don't see him use a semblance he doesn't appear to be suffering any problems from missing most of his fleshy bits. And we know from Penny that machines can generate aura just fine.

Guys
I figured it all out
I figured out who the real big bad is.
So, you know how all the songs are clearly foreshadowing? Volume 1's songs foreshadowed events in Volume 2 and 3, Volume 2's songs foreshadowed events in Volume 3, and Volume 3's songs foreshadowed events within the Volume as well as stuff likely to come in Volume 4.
Well, as I was listening to the soundtrack, there was a certain word that came up consistently throughout every volume: red lightning. No other word or phrasing comes up as much as lightning other than "roses", and we all know what roses refers to.
So, then, what does "red lightning" refer to? Well, are the only characters we've seen demonstrate lightning powers and have some sort of "redness" about them?
Neptune
All evidence points to Neptune being the great evil of RWBY. Lightning powers? Check. Red? Found in his jacket, Check.
Even more damning evidence? He's afraid of water. We laughed, of course. A person named Neptune afraid of water. But why is he afraid of water?
Think to the fairy tale of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a story that clearly inspired elements within RWBY (such as Glynda Goodwitch, Ironwood, Ozpin). What happens when the big evil (the wicked witch of the west) comes into contact with water? She melts.
This only serves as conclusive evidence that Neptune can only be Salem, who is meant to represent The Wicked Witch of the West, someone who seems aware of the heroes yet we know nothing about.
I'll say it just to be clear:
Neptune is Salem, and I have proved it.
All evidence points to it.
Disclaimer: This post is not meant to be taken seriously, despite all the strong evidence. "There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-Mae
Heracles from Toriko is 20 KM tall, 30 KM long, 3,000,000,000,000 tons.
Yeah, crazy.
A grimm that size would be crazy.
Watch SymphogearThat's a silly theory. Neptune and Salem look nothing alike. Also their voices are different.
Therefore Neptune is clearly Salem's boss. Salem is there to battle Ozpin's and his plans, while Neptune work towards their real nefarious goals.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. And for my bit of Logical Fallacy: When I hear "red lightining," I think of Myotismon. Therefore, the man behind Salem is... a vampire.
[Side note: I don't recall hearing "red lightning" in the lyrics of the songs.]
Alternatively, since the word "rose" keeps popping up, we will have either a Rose as a villain, or someone with a rose motif.
Ruby Rose is the reincarnation of the Bigger Bad, and must deal with the Enemy Within.

I would kill to have a playable Grimm Eclipse on my Xbox One with Pyrrha as a payable character.
That would make me feel better.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!
