So a random thought I had over the weekend; if you had to pick one RWBY hero as a housemate, who would you pick? And what if you had to pick a villain instead?
I went with Ren for the hero as he's a quiet guy, I'm a quiet guy, I think we'd hit it off well. We'd work out a good routine, we'd have a good first month and then I'll come home one day, the door has been kicked in, the pantry's empty and Nora's just sprawled out on the couch in a food coma.
For villains it's almost like having to cross off who you don't want to be living in close proximity to. I narrowed it down to Emerald (yeah she would always be stealing the last bit of leftovers you were looking forward to but she's a thief what do you expect?) or Torchwick (yeah he's a dick, but he's less of a dick than Mercury and you could count on him to bring the rent in until he gets hauled off to Ironwood's custody.
AJ you're looking at potential, not actual skill, there's a difference. Weiss so far has shown to be not all that powerful by herself with most of her best showings being alongside her teammates. Also her and Winter are two different people with two different mindsets and experiences, Weiss is going to be herself and herself only, and perhaps a notable difference between the 2 is that Weiss' is a better team fighter while Winter is better solo or as command.
Personally I think Mercury would wreck Weiss in a fight, though she could probably beat Emerald(who funnily enough has the same issue).
I'd live with Ruby, she's such a cool lil sis. We could play videogames, eat sweets n pizza and geek out all day lol. As for villains, well none of them are particularly nice but I guess Mercury. Torchwick would leave me with all the bills and eat up the food, adam would spend all day on youtube watching Faunus supremacist and conspiracy videos, Cinder is just too evil and Emerald would probably jack my cash and have me jump out a window or something. Mercury for all his faults at least comes off as somewhat a normal, if angry/damaged young guy.

Weiss. Not only she's (relatively) well organized and polite (=\= necessarily friendly), she's also rich enough that I might ask her to help out with finances at worse situations. XD
For bad guys, Roman. Hey, at least I can sorta expect him to keep things clean.
As you can see, keeping things clean is a serious business for me.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Roommate is easy. From heroes, I would choose...Jaune or Pyrrha, since they're not too quiet, and also neither extremely laid-back or overly meticulous.
Villain-wise, either Roman or Neo, but would only live with them begrudgingly, since they're...well, evil...ish. Mercury just gets on my nerves, Emerald just bores me, and Cinder is too...
-look of smugness that never changes-
That Ren guy seems...quiet.
A housemate that Randomness rarely has to interact with...that's like that happy place you go when you die.

You're not the only one. That ending slipped into the Uncanny Valley of songs for me.
I too would want to have Nora as a roommate. She seems like an enthusiastic exercise coach.
As for a villainous roommate... Neo, because cute. homicidal, mute girls make excellent roommates... She's probably not homicidal all the time, right?

So I found RWBY Chibi on youtube and it was, how should I put it, excrutiatingly unfunny. I've seen it dozens of times before and I didn't laugh the first time either. Only thing that was anywhere near to make my cheeks budge was Ruby smacking Blake.
Anyhow, can its ending theme be found anywhere by itself?
Housemates: Heroes. Probably go for Weiss or Jaune. Ruby and Yang would be fine to have around but I don’t think I could stand staying with them constantly. Blake would be alright but there’s always the issue of her running off whenever things weren’t working. Plus, there’s the whole crazy ex/whatever Adam is. Nora, no way. I think I’d be worse than Ren when it came to energy draining. Ren is too quiet. If Pyrrha isn’t dead she’s also an option.
Villains. Emerald would steal my stuff. Cinder would probably set me on fire at some point. Neo is too much of a wildcard. Adam hates humans. Go for Mercury, I don’t think he’d kill me for no reason.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.Heroes: Probably Weiss since she seems to potentially be the least troublesome.
Villains: Probably Mercury since I'd at least be able to listen to his voice every day. Torchwick would probably be a close second, though, since he'd probably be a somewhat reliable roommate and would likely leave me alone so long as I didn't get in his way.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!

NEVER lost a fight against unnamed chararter, which it happen and in the most hilarious way posible
For what I see, Weiss have problem against raw force, she maybe fend well againt Mercury and Emerald but Adam edgy sword and Cinder would stright beat her.
