Fans just haven't been thinking about things from the "Black" side of things, they're too busy talking about how Yang's arc could play out.
I don't think anyone's demon...placing this "Sun" guy, fights tend to take priority over actual story development.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I feel like Yang may or may not go on the dark path but to be the dark path is more intresting especially if she eventually gets so far gone that she fights Ruby.I think it will be a gradual shift. Yang will become more aggressive as a result of Raven and Raven presents Yang with a Ultimatium "What does she have left to live for. Her younger sister is fine on her own. She has no one she needs protecting and her attitude caused her freinds to get hurt so what does she have to live for". She may end up joining Raven for the sole purpose of having a reason to continue on fight again but i don't think the RWBY Team will have Yang go on the dark path

@Gali: "Speaking of AfterBuzzTV, one of the hosts had long dubbed Team SSSN as Team Hot and Useless given that while they are attractive, they haven't been essential to the plot events."
That's why the nickname is a thing.
"While I do not approve of yuri ships I do think that Blake is a fantastic character with tons of potential to improve her relationship with Yang in Season 4."
Tough shit, the likelihood of Bumblebee becoming canon is high given Monty's comments before his passing about there being LGBT characters appearing (if they aren't in the show already) as well as everyone in RT shipping Bumblebee. Also, I'd recommend not using "do not approve" and comments like that, really makes you come off as homophobic.

I step away for 2 weeks and this is what I find, Blake respected and Sun, and Cinder, and Emerald despised? Adam the Edgelord and Mercury the douche?
$10 says the first character to be dramatically owned in RWBY Chibi is Blake.
You know what, that's not fair. My headcanon is that RWBY Chibi is a parallel universe, and through the power of the RWBY fanbase's overly imaginative fanart crossovers, these two universes will one day meet.
Chibi-universe!Blake will be an awesome fighter, while Blake-Prime will continue to be knocked out in most fights. Like the one with Torchwick. Where Sun jumped in to save her and Blake tried to killsteal.
Like a scrub.
With her ranged boomswordmachinearang. Girl can't even decide whether her weapon's a gun, a sword, or a boomerang. Yup. Everybody else makes do with two weapons. Blake needs three.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Don't you know? The suffix "-phobic" hasn't meant "an irrational fear of something" for years. It instead means... basically nothing.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!"In Season 2 he once again goes with Blake to infiltrate a White Fang meeting. "
And he drop for a noodle with neptune in the middle of the fight with roman-mecha.
"In Season 3 he fought alongside his team in the Vytal Festival, winning their match and helped fend off the Grimm and White Fang when they attacked beacon. "
And Yang go to find Blake, lose her shit and go stright to punch Adam, even forgotting the first rule of combat: Pun cant be edgyness.
"Sun isn't some 'hot' character who just exists to get in the way of ships. He has his merits and frankly I'm sick and tired of people demonizing characters just so they can put them with who they think that character should be with. "
And sun barely have screentime or interaction with Sun, Yang have already shared thing with her and go so far to fight if she is hurt, not surprise Sun is just the "funny boyfriend"
For me this volume should be pretty dark for Yang, having nightmare try to rebuild her confidence and being bitter with Blake for running away, also I think we will see Aam backstoy in order to make a parallel between him and Yang and why she will return to the good side.
"I just hope they don't do to Sun what the TOK writers did to Mako."
What? have your two ex girlfriend hook up? yeah, Mako is the george constanza of Avatar![]()
Okay, that noodle part is true but that's probably because he figured Team RWBY could handle it. Plus he and Neptune had gotten knocked clean off the highway so even if they tried to return to join the fight RWBY would have finished it long before.
Yang running to find Blake happens long into the actual invasion and Sun is already helping the others fend off the Grimm. Just because he didn't actually go looking for Blake doesn't mean he was sitting around being 'hot and useless.'
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!"Okay, that noodle part is true but that's probably because he figured Team RWBY could handle it. Plus he and Neptune had gotten knocked clean off the highway so even if they tried to return to join the fight RWBY would have finished it long before. "
it still come across as letting the girl facing the mecha alone and make them look douchy for it.

law of narrative important, Sun is reduce to a background not better that the other useless chararter we see in volume 3, Yang share a deep secret with Blake and go to fight Adam who said "I going to hurt everything you cared" the sign are pretty blatant
So yeah, hot and useless
Look, you can think Sun is 'hot and useless' all you want.
I'm providing actual facts to show that he isn't.
For all the times he is used as a background character or for comedic relief, he has shown that when needed he can be serious and fight for what's right even if it doesn't concern Blake, which doesn't make him useless.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!![]()
the issue is Sun baely matter in the show and one of the few moment, he drop mid fight to go for some noddle thanks to rule of funny which was jarring as hell.right now he is pretty much a satalite interest while Yang lost a damn hand for her(well it was thanks to capitan edgyness but you get the point)
Granted, even if bumblee happen, it wont be anytime soon since it look yang is to depress to do something and it probably dislike Blake from running away, what I think it will happen is that sun will be critcal in defeating Adam as in journey to the west, the monkey warrior manage to defeat the Bull king(Adam)
protector is the best word describing Mako so people just said "whatever" to that, he try to project Bolin,Korra,Asami and....fail most of the time, he was reduce to a background in the end, is a shame

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I guess my issue with Bumblebee isn't Blake and Yang getting together so much as it is the rampant force feeding of it by 'fans'.
The team was paired off before the series even started and to be honest if the show wasn't as good as it is now I probably would have left a long time ago. 70% of the RWBY stories on Fanfiction are slash pairings that reduce the characters to baseline tropes just to pair them off to each other and it really annoys me because the 'writers' pick and choose what factors to put into whoever they are using.
For example, I read this one Bumblebee story where Sun was being abusive to Blake and Yang was the only one who would listen to her. Ruby seemed to be obsessed with cookies and Weiss while Weiss herself was still the rich bitch she was in Season 1. Sun was demonized into this abusive stalker when in the actual series he is anything but.
The writer did this just to have Blake and Yang get together and it was so obvious from the first chapter alone I stopped reading.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!

It was Sun that accompanied Blake to find the White Fang and gave her the information she needed to fight Roman at the docks.
In Season 2 he once again goes with Blake to infiltrate a White Fang meeting.
In Season 3 he fought alongside his team in the Vytal Festival, winning their match and helped fend off the Grimm and White Fang when they attacked beacon.
Sun isn't some 'hot' character who just exists to get in the way of ships. He has his merits and frankly I'm sick and tired of people demonizing characters just so they can put them with who they think that character should be with.
While I do not approve of yuri ships I do think that Blake is a fantastic character with tons of potential to improve her relationship with Yang in Season 4. I've always seen Team RWBY as sisters in arms, willing to die for one another and supporting one another as a team.
I don't like seeing them stripped of their character just so they can be forced together.
