The repetition was really noticeable.

Only if you want to be...( ` >`)
I feel like someone was about to post Rules of Nature.

Okay, good.

Too many Adam's. A cataclysmic chain reaction might start if any of you so much as breath on one another.

Ozpin's Semblance is probably going to be time manipulation. There's too much clock imagery around him for there not to be.
Or maybe his Semblance is always active and stops his aging.
Damn it.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!We are so dark and edgy, that linking park will be hear in the background
And if we have one more adam, we will have to put a "NO HUMAN ALLOW" or maybe "no tail, no ears, not hands" or "If you hair is this blone, get out"
And Ozpin seen to have way more powers, like speed and force field, so I will said that is OP magic.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I can think of several examples off the top of my head:
- Yeah, Jotaro is the first that springs to mind because that was the climax of Part 3. It's only revealed in the final battle that his power was time manipulation, previously his Stand was just shown to have good physical abilities and very high speed.
- There's a Flash villain that appeared to have Super-Speed matching the Flash but it turned out to be time manipulation.
- Exact same scenario with a Marvel character Velocidad
- One of the main characters in Accel World gains a healing ability that is later revealed to be reversing time. This is also very similar with what happens with Inoue in Bleach.
Calling it cliche was a bit much, but I am opposed to the idea because it's very specifically been done before and just completely fails to be The Reveal because of it.
edit: God damn, this thread moves so fast. I was only out to lunch!

Time/Speed are very closely related. Also when you really boil it down RWBY is a very cliche story in both enviorment and story. A lot of the ideas in RWBY were taken from other series. I like to call it the hotpot of Anime.
I feel right now Ruby's semblence is too simple and needs to be developed over time. With Weiss she needs to learn summoning, with Blake she will get an upgrade to her weapon, with Yang she may have to learn a new style of fighting. I would like to see Ruby's semblence/weapon devlop over time. Even if Ruby does get time based powers i don't think she is going to be able to use the full extent of them for a lllooonnnggg time. I really hope Silver Eyes is connected to her semblance and not a magical ability and her semblence was passed down from mother to daughter.

I like to think Ruby's power is more like Enrico Pucci and Zoom aka ability to alter time relative to herself. This basically allowed Zoom to run at very fast speeds rival the Flash despite no connection to the SF. Both Pucci and Zoom demonstrated super speed with out it actually being speed - why couldn't the same apply to Ruby

Meanwhile I like to think that Ruby's Semblance is... speed. Just speed. No fancy time manipulation, resurrection abilities and all that attached to it.
Presumably she can go faster and faster to a point where she could go FTL or at least at a speed of sound, but I wouldn't attach more powers to her; she already has those vague Silver Eyes.
Weiss has a simple enough upgrade route; go with bigger and better summons until she can summon Pyrrha or someone of the sort.
Blake probably just needs to fight like a ninja assassin; otherwise she falls short. Here's hoping she can go back to that with this volume.
Yang first needs to kick her depression off - easier said than done - then either get a swanky one-armed martial art or get a robot arm.
They shouldn't even be effective on those things.

Not necessarily, provided she forgoes the futility of fighting up-front.
Hit-and-Run Tactics might not look all that inspiring, but having a single character fight a more pragmatical, practical style would be fun, now that Jaune is starting to catch up with others.

-that moment you notice there's 4-5 Adams-
