In know that in reality most higher ups aren't very action heavy and it's usually the grunts that do the heavy lifting, but that's rarely how it works in fiction and I don't think RWBY is any different. Nor should it be.
Only the very skilled and strong get into the Academys and regular grunts who just have basic training really can't compare. Plus in the case of the miltary it makes sense. You want the specialists higher ranked so there are less people that can tell them what to do, so they aren't assigned to a place that squanders them.
Although this goes back to my original question if anyone can get hunter level aura unlocked or if it varies from person to person and some people are just naturally weak and nothing can change that.
Everyone can get their aura unlocked, to have semblence and hunter training....that is diferent
Also, its just me or this show really have issue showing the special powers? with the bad guy we only know Neo,Emerald and Cinder semblence(and with Cinder it wasnt named as one) We still dosent know about Ren semblence ad even in the tournament arc we should expect Yat or Coco to use it against Mercury and Emerald, dosent it?.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
It's possible that not everyone has a Semblance that's really visual. Like, Nora's a stellar example. Shocking her with electricity powers her up, but if Port didn't say it, no one would have known that, people would have thought she just No Selled the shock-stick.
Again, being a Villain Sue requires stuff that doesn't make sense in-Universe. Cinder's success is becuse no one had the opportunity to stop her, so she's not a Villain Sue.
more than that, in this kind of plot usuall someone figure out the villian lan and try to stop him, that was not the case, we see Cinder in the tournament and she never cross path with RWBY...well until the last moment she didnt even know they exist at all!.
So this is mosly Qrow and the rest fault, you would expect to him investigate instead of lie there.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I think people have let their feelings about the finale influence how they think tropes should be applied. Cinder doesn't count as a Villain Sue because her plans only worked because nobody even realised she was the bad guy for most of it. Even once she got her power up she still had to struggle to pull out the victory against Phyrra and had to resort to using a Dragon and a trick shot to pull it off.
For the same reason it annoys me when people say that Phyrra got Stuffed into the Fridge, as if her death was solely to further Ruby and Jaune's development. Narratively her death fit for many reasons, both for the show as a whole, for how it effected other characters (which is what any well written death should do) and how it finished up her character arc ("Do you believe in destiny?" is one of the best final lines I've seen in recent memory).

mostly because she arc was going in that direction, between her doubt about the maiden power to see Cinder with the Maiden power, she wasnt just murder for the sake of Cinder, instead she face death as warrior, something other chararter like Roman or Penny didnt have.
Really almost al reason for Phyrra to be alive boils down to "she is my favorited chararter so fuck it"
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I have this idea that maybe RT could bring her back like a humanoid Grimm. However, the characterization she might be given as a Grimm, could possibly make everyone regret it Big time.
Miles: Oh Pyrrha is back guys! She is just an evil Yandere with a corrupted soul now.
RT: *Evil Laugh*

Hey, unknowing's post is the first real good justification I've heard that wasn't a variant of "they needed to show Nothing Is the Same Anymore", "They needed to showcase just how much a threat Cinder is now" or "It was Monty's idea, so stop complaining".
I have to wonder if Grimm Pyrrha happened, would she blame Ruby for her state?
And if she is a Yandere, then more bonus point on she possibly hating ruby.
Uni catEveryone assumes Pyrrha would be coming back as a Grimm Human. But what if she came back as a more standard Grimm, like a Beowolf. Though to separate her from the regular Grimm, she'd need some distinguishing feature, like green eyes.
More anguish for Jaune. Also, more salt for the FNDM when Pyrrha has to be mercy killed by someone (probably Jaune) because she can't control her dark powers or something.
We are terrible people for wanting Pyrrha to come back. I'd personally settle for a mentoring Aura ghost for Jaune.

Hey, there already terrible people that want Jaune to become a Cyborg, like me
Besides, Salem's reveal gives a little more fuel to a possible Humanoid Grimm in the future.
But we first need to know how she became the Kerrigan of the Grimm first

A minor Take That! to the fans who want Pyrrha back, only to regret their decission when they see how horrible things can get. And for more Darkness of course!

We've all seemed to default to Pyrrha coming back as potentially what ever Salem is. Whichnote I'm pretty sure is not a good thing... Cyborg!Pyrrha might not be as bad as Grimm!Pyrrha, but I'm also hoping for Cyborg!Jaune. While Cyborg!Arkos sounds awesome, we already have two people with cybernetics, and an additional potential candidate for augmentation. Five cyborgs might be a little overkill.
On a side note, I'm imagining some district of Atlas to look like Rush Valley.
