And even then, calling it a Chekovs Gun seems kind of wrong, since the only thing foreshadowed was that Ruby having Silver eyes was something Ozpin had to remark on. For all we knew, it was because Summer had Silver eyes, and thus Ruby is marked as her daughter.
All of this freezing sort of stuff and the giant light wings are things that we had zero indication of being things.

Up until this point, I've seen a few people call her a Villain Sue before Volume 3 (which I disagreed with), but not so much "I wish she'd just die, she'll never be sympathetic to me". So that's kind of a new one. I thought about it and realized she just ended one of the most popular ships with a bow and arrow... which is a little funny when you think about the murder weapon.
I say Villain Sue is a shifty trope that gets slapped on too easily Cinder reminds me of The Major from Hellsing. I wouldn't call her a Sue yet.
...we will have words.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Oddly enough, Grimmified Yandere Pyrrha is an idea I could get behind.
Torchwick's comment about the WF moving on down to Haven.
Jaune seems to be taking Pyrrha's death really well. I know there was a timeskip and all and we don't know what became of Cinder or Ozpin, but it's weird, visually, going from Jaune being concerned, to Pyrrha dying, to little acknowledgment of Pyrrha's death - and then the next we see Jaune, he and NR all look determined to head for Haven.
I assume they'll cover some of that grief in Volume 3, but still. And that could mean flashbacks so, even worse.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Eh, Jaune was looking really downcast to me on his brief scene in the epiloguenote , so it is not like he wasn't grieving. Frankly, I would have found much weirder if he was still acting all desperate and crying, after the two time skips.
I don't think there is a need for flashback either. I doubt there was anything much interesting to cover about the immediate aftermath of Pyrrha's death. How he plans to move on and deal with his grief is much more relevant, and something they can address in current time.

Which is, of course, assuming that Pyrrha's death actually ends up impacting the characters and the plot and doesn't go down the Forgotten Fallen Friend route.
Honestly the White Fang are pretty much small fry now. Outside of Adam, who's Hunter-tier, and whoever he answers to, the WF are basically just there to provide mooks now. They've been left behind in the sorting algorithm of villainy.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I'll make a glass half full that, in Volume 4, we'll have a power level retcon. While Ruby getting beat by that WF mook in Volume 2 was total BS, it did make a point that these are armed terrorists and Ruby is in her first year of college.
I'd like to think the next arc will have them former be a little more dangerous to the latter.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I think the White Fang rank and file are just supposed to be pretty weak. The higher ups like Adam and chainsaw man are powerful guys with Hunter tier skills yes, but just being a grown adult with a weapon doesn't equal power.
Remember the Atlas soldiers despite having armor and guns weren't as effective against Grim as Hunters, and people with Hunter skills in the army like Winter are designated specialists.
If anything Ruby should be stronger unarmed than she's shown to be, especially since she's done good damage just with kicks before (while holding Cresent Rose but just holding a weapon shouldn't increase her power) and kicked up a jetstream using her semblance alone.
I didn't like Ruby's alternative outfit (altfit?), but I did prefer the alternatives for the other three girls to their normal clothes (especially Blake and Weiss).
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Fair point, but again, I'd like to think we'll see that retconned a bit - if the story gets a bit smaller, focusing on events in Haven.
Ironwood is a general, and Authority Equals Asskicking aside, generals and high-ranking soldiers aren't always the most combat-capable. Ironwood walks up to a Grimm and manhandles the thing. Sure he's old, experienced, but Atlesian soldiers should at least be that competent - we mostly see them getting slaughtered. Heck, we didn't see any Vale soldiers or anything of the sort, the only Huntsmen we see are the main bunch. Ozpin's running a school to train these people, but we only see 8-14 being effective in battle.
I find myself disliking AEA as a trope, especially in anime. Fullmetal Alchemist was a fun example where, even though Olivier is a total badass, her soldiers, the Briggs army, are just as competent. We get several scenes of the rank and file being effective in combat, that's how it should be, not just "here's mooks with generic armor, here's a more important character not wearing any armor, clearly they're a super soldier!"
Compare Hellsing, where Seras and Alucard are the only effective members of the Hellsing Organization, and Walter, who happens to be the f'cking butler.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!"That's what any attempt to explore her character will be like at this point; people don't care, and it's taking up time from more important things."
Why? Jaune was a side chararter who have a minor plot that get to much time, Cinder is so far the main villian who shared a story with Ozpin and Salem, to not see whay she is like that is set her a petty villian to punish, which is a wasted.
"It's more because Cinder's kind of a Villain Sue in all honesty. She was always shown to be some kind of Magnificent Bastard who had plans for everything. Killing Pyrrha and getting god-mode powers made her seem like an Invincible Villain that needed Ruby's Chekov's Gun power that was foreshadowed the very first episode."
She is? I meant in reallity, her plan when flawless because nobody know about her, usually in this kind of plots, someone see something wrong and figured out the plan, here...it dosent happen, Cinder never hinder the heroine until the last moment and neither two groups clash as whole, the good guys didnt win because the plot dosent give them a fighting change.
And about the White fang...this show follow the anime(and superhero) convention that only name chararter matter, the rest are mooks, which is why Weiss defeat agasint not-leatherface is so hilarious.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"... Apparently, Yang's Semblance is Nightmare Fuel.

Hey, This fanart is pretty cool

I know, her body is ashes right now, but if Humanoid Grimm become a thing and if Reforged into a Minion does happen, well....
