I mean, virtually everyone in Avatar The Last Airbender had either an Abusive Father or a Missing Mom who was killed by a firebinder, it would take quite a few more to get to that point.

Adam has layers, and we're going to hate him even more once we see them. Oh, and he straight up brute forced Yang's aura.
One of the things that was cut was Pyrrha and Nora beating the shit out of Sun and Neptune.
Even if they're still just a complete bastard's, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Adam. And c'mon, doing enough damage in one hit to instantly deplete Yang's Aura is pretty badass.
And does that second one have a slight hint of Take That, Scrappy! to anyone else? Scrappy to the Die for Our Ship crowd, mind you.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.In terms of Oz characters, Salem is probably the Wicked Witch of the West, since the Wizard of Oz set up Dorothy's group to defeat her for him. She's the one the famous film gives green skin to (which isn't in the original books).
The revisionist story makes the Wicked Witch of the West the protagonist (and secretly the daughter of the Wizard of Oz), who is just a Hero with Bad Publicity, and who eventually forces the Wizard to repent, but has to fake her death in the end (much to her old friend Glinda's grief).
Given that Ironwood seems to have feelings for Glynda in this show, the creators of RWBY are at least partially inspired by the revisionist version of Oz because that's where the idea of the Tin Man being in love with Glinda the Good Witch comes from (it's also the version that got translated into Russian and gave the Tin Man a Russian name that translates to "ironwood" in English).
The reivisionist version of the tale really is an appalling example of an author writing what amounts to a fanfic that gushes over the original villain to Draco in Leather Pants degrees, so seeing elements of it in RWBY isn't one of my favourite parts of the show. I do think that it means that Salem is going to end up having a justifiable complaint against Ozpin, who'll have a borderline evil (if not, at one point, completely evil) past, but along the way, Ozpin has genuinely shifted for the better (probably because of the original four Maidens) and Salem has shifted far too far in the wrong direction (hence Ozpin's pilot episode comment about things Salem has long forgotten).
Given this is a fairy-tale inspired story, however, I want to know who Princess Ozma is (possibly initially introduced to us as male because... reasons, Wizard-related yet again - the Wizard was responsible for a lot of things), and whether we'll see any equivalent to Queen Lurline, who is the closest thing to a god the Land of Oz has.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
But awesome Russian-Orthodox chanting themes for Atlas (plus a legitimate reason for The Political Officer to be titled Commissar)...Think about it!

So what age are Glynda and Ironwood supposed to be around?
I would maybe give them being around in their fifties while Qrow looks to be on his late thirties to mid Forties. Ozpin is something of a pretty hefty debate to settle down so i will avoid that question
Yeah Aura does wonders to your body as you look 20 younger that you are supposed to be.
Uni catContinuing on: RJNR travels through the swampland and fight a water snake Grimm. Jaune tries to use telepathy to contact Pyrrah but fails. Agitated he lashes out at Ruby verbally and goes off too get a drink. While in the bar he meets with Qrow but the 2 don't recognize each other because they are too intoxicated too recognize each other. Jaune talks about Pyrrah and Qrow talks about how he loved summer. The 2 sober up and realize who they are talking to. Qrow tells Jaune not to talk about this and Jaune heads back to the camp. He talks with Ruby and she hugs him. The next day, they meet with Weiss. After a Hilarious and heartfelt reunion between white rose, a group of bounty hunters enter the pub. With help from scarlet and sage, the group escapes from the pub and heads towards the city. Meanwhile Neo gets fed up with her mistreatment and leaves. Emerald notices but doesn't say anything
All I see I conquer
This man speaks truth.
Ironwood's age is "I'm a motherfucking cyborg"

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyWell, the Maiden story has been around for thousands of years? I think thousands was mentioned somewhere. In the story itself, the wizard said he'd been living in isolation for hundreds of years.
So... Ozpin would be very, very, very old. Salem is probably equally, or almost, as old. While Salem visibly doesn't look human, my guess is she's probably closer to human than Ozpin really is.
We don't know much about Cinder, and we don't know if she could do it before becoming full-Maiden, but when she fights Ozpin, both of them can seen in a pitch-black vault to keep fighting each other. Only faunus are supposed to have night-vision, even then we were told that not all faunus have night-vision. And can even a faunus see in a pitch-black vault anyway?

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Holy shit. The guy is a monster. And Yang was fully rested too, if a bit distressed, so it is not like her aura was weak. Might still be something to do with his semblance, though. Not in the sense it allows him to bypass aura, as previously speculated, but in the sense it allows him to make an absurdly powerful single attack. It would fit what we have seem in the trailer as well.
I think it was the other way around. It is not that they cut because Sun was in the finals. Sun was in the finals because they cut him losing. In the end, it doesn't really matter who got there, aside from the four, as the tournament was over after two battles.

Adam's an Iaijutsu Practitioner. Stupidly powerful single attacks are kinda their thing.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I was thinking of both the novel and the musical, yes.
In the series of novels, there are even freezing of dragons involved, albeit with ice rather than mysterious powers that burst from silver eyes, but still...
An entry has been removed from the character pages and readded a couple of times, so I want to catch consensus:
The sword Weiss summoned in the Volume 2 finale. Is that a sword made from ice Dust or an example of partial summoning?
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. So, lets see
"-They aren't going to confirm if people are dead or alive because it would be insanely annoying to do for each character"
-With all the denial around here and the "PHYRRA IS GOING BACK A CYBORG"....yeah, is getting annoying.
"Petitions aren't going to bring a character back"
Ughhhhhh, that is nasty, well so is life....
"-When asked about Merc or Neo having silver eyes they looked at each other and shrugged and laughed; probably confirms they do not."
So is just animation oversight, well that happen
"-All of the events of Volume 3 like the Fall of Beacon as well as Pyrrha getting martyred were going to happen earlier but time constraints and "life" caused things to take longer"
So....not only Phyrra was destined to die but she was destined to die SOONER?....glorious(At least that explain how everything move so fast after he death)
"-Velvet will get more screen time in the future. We haven't seen her semblance yet."
WHAT? that wasnt......Velvet OP,nerf plz
"Salem is not the winter maiden, it's a pure coincidence"
Again animation(or desing) oversight, they should be carefull.
"Adam has layers, we will see the core of why the way he is in the future. The more we learn the more we will probably hate him"
mmmmm I have mix feeling about it, I expect it good explantion and not just "Blake evil stalker" because I got the feeling Bumblebee are canon, making him almost a case of the "the bad boyfriend who get away in my ship" also....brute force his way? jeez that is fucking awsome!, can we put that moment in the cronwing moment of awomse? can we?
"-Miles had a big grin when one of the hosts speculated about Jaune dying"
The darkness grow, the darkness grow! hahahaahahaha!
"-One of the things they cut they could talk about was there was going to be a fight between Sun and Neptune of team SSSN and Pyrrha and Nora of team JNPR"
What a shame, the stupid inicial fight could be cut....but anyway, nothing really bad was lost.
"Romans death was to show how the Grimm are the real threat"
Ughhh, what a bullshit, the sacrifice a chararter for that? the dragon did just that! Arghhhhhhhh.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"

But Sun was in the finals so it makes sense it was cut.
Ok Salem is not the original winter maiden then what the fuck is she anyway?
Also, Roman was a test dummy to show grimm are dangerous.
