@CaptainCapsase He should start by dis-ARM-ing him. It'd be almost a tradition then.

Which leads to Adam having an Oh, Crap! and trying to run away, and Taiyang ain't having any of that shit. The fight continues offscreen while Blake and Yang have a heart-to-heart, interrupted by Adam's screaming

I seriously doubt Taiyang would be killed by Adam (I was mainly making a joke in the vein of the recap "predicting" hilarious Black Comedy fates for everyone), particularly in such an anticlimax (I could however see an epic Mutual Kill against Adam and a bunch of white fang mooks), but he's definitely got some death flags. Well, a death flag by virtue of being a loved one for the protagonist.
Incidentally, I'm going to go ahead and guess that the next major character to die will be Qrow, because he's got the mentor death flag, the loved one death flag, the Too Cool to Live death flag, and the Big Good death flag going for him at this point. Probably not within the next volume though.

And Mercury had an Oh, Crap! when he saw Qrow. So either team STRQ is feared because of how strong they are, or the Branwen's are just that damn good.
The Brawnen twins showed in two separate occasions to scare the crap out of two villains that are pretty strong.
Summer was a silver eyed warrior and we don't know who killed her but she must have been pretty damn strong (and the leader no less)
We still yet to see how strong is Taiyang but i suppose he is also pretty good. Or he is the Jaune of STRQ

Uni cat
It was a while back. Lemme see if I can find it.
Edit: Found it

You know, everyone in RWBY looks so... young. Taiyang, Raven, and Qrow all look to be in their late 20s. They are probably all around 40. Winter might be between 30 and 40, and Mr. Schnee would be around 60. I'd place Ironwood around 50.

@faso: If he's the Jaune of team STRQ, than Lancaster is absolutely going to become canon before suddenly switching to white rose in the last season. Incidentally, if that comes to pass, I can totally see their kid being named after Pyrrha (Pyrrhus if male).

Not shown, Ruby coming by after Jaune left and clearing out the entire shelf.
I kinda half expect the first episode of the new volume will mainly consist of RNJR packing for the trip as a throwback to the old Slice of Life stuff from the first two seasons.

@WillDeReggio: And if we remember, Ozpin doesn't follow the Color Naming Rule because it's implied he predates it. Which means Ozpin is Eighty Years Old at the bare minimum.

@TPPR Now where is that image where instead of Pyrrha there were a pile of ashes
Now let's fuel more hate for her

Uni catSo at this point in the story, how old are the characters? The best timeline for the story I can work out is that season 1 and 2 covered Beacon's Fall and Spring semesters, with the Vytal Festival being a late summer event. Ruby was then comatose for several days/weeks, enough for the season to change, and we then skip ahead to Winter, which puts us more than a year ahead of where we started. That would mean Ruby is now 16 if not 16 going on 17, and most/all of the other main characters are 18 or 19.

Edit: Wow, what a page-topper
