Monty had the damn scene photographed two and half years ago. Don't fling shit at M&K.
So finally got the chance to watch the finale. My suspicions that the bad guys are somehow on the side of the Grimm is confirmed. That leads to so many fascinating questions, like can Grimm be sentient, is that what Selem is? Is this just a group of misanthropes? Environmental Terrorism?
Also I love Qrow's semblence but want to know how Raven's and Yang's connect to his? Isn't there supposed to be some genetic aspect to semblences, even if exact duplicates are reserved for the Schness? Shapeshifting and Turns Red are hard to connect with each other.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Fall has ended, We find ourselves in the midst of Winter
but Fear not... Spring is coming we must bear the cold only a little while
Praise be to the absolute QueenYou know, I wonder if the show will be renamed RNJR (Ranger) considering how it ended. I doubt it, but it does sound cool imo
A tumblr user said something about a Shippuden change. We may get to see the kids growing up and looking older. And everyone else too.
... Shit, man. Not even Kamen Rider gave me this much heartache. At least with that, I can cope by seeing cool guys transforming into bug-eyed warriors and blowing monsters up with flying kicks galore.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.I wonder where I got that idea then?
And I'm sad for Pyhrra but I can't say her death wasn't well executed. She got built up as a stellar Tragic Hero and her death felt like it was a product of the very traits that made her a hero in the first place. My only complaint is that if they were going this direction I'd rather if Pyhrra had gotten the Fall Maiden's aura before she died, because as it stands her death only serves the narrative purpose of activating Ruby's silver powers. As meaningful as her death is from a character perspective, I felt it was a bit tacked on to the story itself, as it would have actually made more sense for Ruby's silver power to be triggered by Penny's death.
Speaking of which still holding out hope for Penny being back in some form. I just don't see the point of introducing her implied creator otherwise. Maybe if not her being repaired, her mind was backed up and transfered into a new body at some point. The fact that we have had two deaths that I don't think will be reversed, means that I think the show can afford to reverse Penny's if doing so serves some other narrative purpose.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.
Given RNJR is going to be on the other side of the world from WBY, I can very easily see this state of affairs lasting for some time, perhaps even through the entirety of the next arc (volumes 1-3 composing the opening arc). If something like a Yang Face–Heel Turn happens or one of the remaining JNPR characters dies as well, I could see it becoming a permanent state of affairs where the main cast is a Six Man Band composed of the merger of RWBY and JNPR.

So perhaps Volumes 4-6 will be the main course... With 7-9 being the grand finale.
Oh, man. Is this Star Wars now?
]The only way I can see Pennys death serving the narrative is her contruction have something to do with the Maiden, otheriwse is a waste of time.
And aboyut Arkos, well looks the writer give them the viking threatment, if you know that I mean

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"@Phil: Alternatively, just to drive the knife he, she doesn't switch back to the heroes' side until the very, very end, by which point she's replaced a (presumably dead) Cinder as Salem's Second in Command, and she ends up pulling a Vader, sacrificing herself to kill the Big Bad in a Redemption Equals Death scenario.

Well, the Cain and Abel dynamic works very different from Luke, I Am Your Father, so not too much. Perhaps take out the Redemption Equals Death, and make her legitimately see the light near the end?

Given that my particular scenario was practically verbatim from Star Wars, I don't think that would be particularly dark. Dark would be that happening, Yang having second thoughts, and suffering a Heel–Face Door-Slam.

I hate to break it to you, but barring Time Travel, Pyrrha is gone; conceptual pictures posted on reddit for the scene confirm Pyrrha was burned to ashes by Cinder, not teleported or anything like that, and given Achilles was cremated after his death, it matches the myth, so yeah.
Hopefully they don't do that with any of the other JNPR characters; once the second one bites it in basically the same way their legendary counterpart did, it'll be clear that the rest are just flat out doomed, and the audience will become apathetic about their arcs given the forgone conclusion of a tragic death.
Now, maimings or injuries occurring along the lines of their respective myths? That I can get behind, especially if Jaune's horrific burns result in him being rebuilt as a cyborg.

@Some New Guy Like Arkos? *Gets shot*
I think Pyrrha in the end had to die. I believe that Penny was the one to demonstrate Anyone Can Die but it didn't work because she is a Gynoid. Roman doesn't work because he is a Bad guy and a "glorified Mook". Pyrrha sadly was the one with the most death flags and sufficient developement to kill off, which i still don't like.
Shit happens
