I think we can stop with spoilers now.
Creator's Pet has specific criteria that Cinder fails to meet.
Changing the subject: D'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaww
But seriously, I think Cinder is now the biggest Base Breaker in RWBY. Like, holy shit

Even if she was after the dragon, she still seemed intent on destroying the place. Vale was lucky because of the Huntsmen stopping them at Beacon.
If you follow the theory that the train breach was supposed to take place at the same time as the invasion, then it's clear she wanted to cause as much destruction as possible. And thanks to the dragon staying there, there will always be a threat to Vale.

So Cinder needed Grimmwing to defeat Pyrrha? Please, she was already going toe-to-toe with her AND supposedly defeated OZPIN offscreen. Do i smeel a Villain Sue?
The fact that they had to bring up a mysterious power for Ruby (Granted, it was foreshadowed but still) to "defeat her" certainly doesn't help.
So, i am the only one dissapointed in Grimmwing? It basically did nothing important besides spawn Grimm and Help Cinder in one occation.
AND WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE OTHER TWO ASSHOLES?!

Uni catOn the topic of Creator pet. From the page itself
Hated by fans (The Scrappy)
Loved (or worshipped) by the writers (Creator's Favorite)
Put into big scenes for no reason (Character Focus)
Talked up by the other characters (Character Shilling)
Unless it meets all of these criteria, it doesn't fit.
Cinder hasn't received that much focus until this volume. And even then only the later half. And no one has talking up Cinder much.

Oh look, someone beat me to the Villain Sue thing for Cinder:
- Villain Sue: Cinder. EVERYTHING she does goes to plan and nothing the heroes do ever stops or delays any one of her machinations. She annihilates Beacon Academy and Vale, gets the entirety of the Fall Maiden's power, ruins Atlas' public image, kills Pyrrha, leaves Ozpin missing, has an army of robots at her command, and has the Grimm running rampant like never before. The only thing she didn't expect was the fact that Ruby is a special silver-eyed warrior who may or may not have the power to beat her.
Also remember, the YMMV page is subjective by nature. Just because you don't think the example isn't valid, doesn't mean other people do. I personally agree on this however.
Arkos shippers right now
(Myself included)
The most dissapointing thing about this episode is Cinder vs Ozpin. We almost saw nothing of it (It also makes me mad that he was defeated offscreen. WHY OFFSCREEN LAND GETS ALL THE GOOD SHIT?!)
Uni cat![]()
So.... why does the trope exist and say it's a YMMV trope then?
If it's Flame Bait and not allowed to be on the YMMV page, what good is its existence?

I doubt it. They wouldn't get a "celebrity" (and I use that term loosely) voice actress to play Cinder if they only have her around for two volumes.

I apologize if this makes things worse, but I find this to be... appropriate:
That out of the way, my theory for Weiss leaving (other that her father forcing her) is that she's going to try to get her father to allow Yang to get a new arm.
Also, Cinder probably wasn't greatly affected by Ruby's Deus ex Machina, since IIRC, it only affects creatures of Grimm. So to Cinder, it probably was an oversized flashbang.

I still can't believe Miles and Kerry teased us for three seasons about all the character development and growth arcs Penny and Pyyrha would get, only to throw it all away just to make Cinder look "cool", AGAIN.
Seriously, how can anyone not consider her a Creator's Pet at this point?
