Except that what Ruby did was kinda a Deus Ex Machina. I also think Cinder is a Villain Sue. She just didn't get a flawless victory.

If she was frozen, Qrow would have mentioned that. Seriously. Just accept that Cinder is a God Mode Villain Sue and apparently the Creator's Pet.

We'll have to see where this goes. I fully expect her to be on the receiving end of You Have Failed me eventually. Anyway, it's a bit premature to call Villain Sue given how far we are into the story. The heroes were blindsided this season, and if they continue to basically accomplish nothing now that the villains have come out of the shadows, I'll concede that point.

Yeah, that is what confuses me. Unless there is no way of them to reach Ozpin's office to see Cinder, she is somewhere. And honestly, I really wished they had shown the Dragon, you know, actually frozen. Show, Don't Tell.
Except the "stage one" here seemed to have gone way too flawlessly and in such a huge way.

My thoughts exactly. Even the heroes manage to stall the villain a bit in the first part. Everything just landed on her lap on a silver platter.
"Oh, what's this? The specs for Penny? Well, let's just team her up against The Invincible Girl with Polarity, rely on Emerald to do her thing as usual, and hijack everything. Bring in the White Fang, who can somehow control Grimm, boom, Beacon is put out like a light.
Stuff went down.
- No sight of Torchwick or Neo. Here's hoping at least the latter can make it.
- Yeah, I knew Pyrrha would kick it after the kiss scene.
- She was giving Cinder a pretty hard time though, all things considering. Maybe Pyrrha would be able to even strangle her or even snap her neck if not for Smaugrimm making an appearance.
- Am kind of disappointed we didn't get the outcome of Ozpin v. Cinder, but Salem seems to imply he's still alive.
- Rest in pieces, Pyrrha Nikos.
- Ruby has some sort of superpower! It was to be expected though the question is whether she's an unaware Maiden after Summer or is it something else entirely.
- Smaugrimm is literally chilling atop Beacon now. Speaking of which, hello Goliaths, took your sweet time getting to the fight.
- Port and Oobleck are around, that's a comfort.
- Taiyang is not, in fact, Ruby's hallucination. Yay. He looks kind of dorky.
- So CCT is down and there's no contact with other nations. Everybody seems to think Atlas has invaded there though. At least Vale itself lives.
- Glynda seemed really distraught.
- Blake is gone, Weiss got picked up by Papa Schnee - he looks kinda bland - and Yang is BSOD'ing.
- New Team, onward.
- Qrow can turn into a raven. Bet Raven can do that too and they're both Huginn and Muninn to Ozpin's Odin.
- Ozpin is MIA, Cinder either Fall Maiden'd out of the iceblock - and why not, she can torch stuff well - or got stuck there.
...time to wait until the OST is officially released.

Seriously, there is no denying that Cinder's a Sue when a Deus ex Machina is needed to stop her. And since Qrow didn't mention Cinder being in the tower, she's not frozen.
I'm wondering if during the next time Rooster Teeth goes to a place someone asking/calling them out on Cinder's status.
Seriously, she can't keep those powers for more than a season if she can basically disintegrate people on a whim.

Cinder has lost absolutely nothing useful to her plans. She gained the Fall Maiden's power, killed one of the greatest fighters in Beacon, mentally broken almost everyone on the side of the good guys, and has now convinced the world that Atlas is evil. Roman? I highly doubt he had that great a role anymore. She gained a whole ton, and lost nothing.

@Black:did you even read my post? Her death was an allusion to the mythology. It's a common story-telling device used in all forms of media across the ages. The mythology of Achille's in its entirety wasn't recreated, they only referenced his death.
As for Cinder's fate, I personally think that she was frozen with the dragon. They had the same light glow over them, and there's no way Cinder escaped from that.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-Mae- Sees the new Big Bad*
Wow. And I thought Cinder was Obviously Evil.
@Nocturne: To my defence, you cannot really see the Dragon that clearly due of how foggy the thing is.
Also, to other people, do keep in mind that even though the invasion is over, the Dragon is still attracting more Grimm to Vale so as long as he is frozen there, Vale is not safe place to be. Though that brings up the question if they have tried shooting the Dragon down.
Only sometimes postsActually, Pyrrha was already vulnerable before she got shot in the heel. You can see her Aura break when one of the giant gears hit into her and makes her fall onto her behind. Also, Achilles is generally said to be killed by just the arrow to his heel, said be poisoned.

Okay, so I just finished watching the finale:
Huh, so can we add Villain Sue to the YMMV page now? I mean, Cinder now basically has God-Mode Sue powers and all that shit.
Also: 'Cause the ship's going down / All on account of the weather/ Though we'll drown / There's no need to frown / 'Cause we're all going together / And I won't say "Woe is me" / As I disappear into the sea / 'Cause I'm in good company / As we're all going together
Ruby's probably a Maiden, or something stronger.
HEEEEEEEEY! Taiyang, welcome to the land of the actual characters
I don't get the "Yang and Blake were acting OOC" thing. Yang got her arm chopped off, which is basically a Game-Breaking Injury/Career-Ending Injury for a melee brawler like her. Unless she gets a Robo-Arm from Ironwood's crew, yeah. And it's been established before that Blake has a habit of running (and feels bad about it). So I expected her to ditch for a bit and try to figure shit.
So THAT'S what Mr. Schnee looks like. He looks like my Grandfather O.o
Also: RNJRs LEAD THE WAY!
And on the name: Ranger Green is a thing
But yeah, Cinder is now FIRMLY in Villain Sue territory.
