We have no idea what her end goal is. If it was only to deal with Ozpin and destroy beacon it succeeded and she won. If she had larger plans at all then Ruby could do a fuckton. And again we have no idea what happened to Cinder, beyond the fact that she wasn't found on top of the tower (because somebody would have said that) and she wasn't present with Salem at the end. Not even Ruby knows and she did it. For all we know Cinder has been killed and Ruby is now the Fall Maiden.
But hey if you want to always assume the worst, misuse tropes and make inconsiderate arguments without even considering the pain that could cause other tropers that's all on you.
What? You haven't pointed out a single misuse in tropes on my part, so don't just say I'm doing it. What on earth are you talking about about being considerate? I don't see how anyone could have their feelings hurt by what I'm saying as I'm just directing it at the show/Cinder, and it's not like one person makes an argument.
Roman going out like a Punk was at least workable insofar as he was a glorified Mook Lieutenant, and yep Cinder is absolutely not gone, and I doubt she's even petrified at the top of the tower, surely Qrow would've mentioned that.

I still doubt that things will go full Madoka. It'll be dark but not too dark, hopefully with lighter moments. I mean, how dark have the Rooster Teeth people gotten before? And considering there's a periphery demographic of kids now, do you really think they'd jeopardize viewers by going full Madoka? A lot of kid's shows are dark, but they aren't Madoka dark, and RWBY ain't pulling a Madoka.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Like Adric said, I wasn't talking to you Saiga. I was talking to Some New Guy, the person who I quoted directly. If you want to know my opinion on you then all your points you've raised are valid and I have no beef with you, real or otherwise.
The inconsiderate comment was directed towards his previous line a few pages back about how Yang was being selfish and whinny over losing her arm (amongst other things). That alone is bad since he's basically saying that people who go through trauma are being selfish if they don't instantly get over it, but as someone who has had a loved one lose limbs and seen them go through much worse it struck a raw nerve.

That explains everything.
OK, now this is getting ridiculous. Shit ain't going that far south yet. I've seen that kind of dark speculation brought up in You Tube comments about the show. We aren't gonna get too dark.

Everyone's aware that's a photoshop right?
I mean, as far as developing characters and making you love them only to brutally kill them, the conclusion to season 3 was in ASOIAF territory. Whether it stays there, or whether this is merely our heroes Darkest Hour remains to be seen.
Now that said, the fact that Monty apparently had plans for what could happen if the show lasted long enough for the characters to become full fledged adults indicates to me that the finale won't be a Kill Em All scenario, though I won't be surprised if characters from team RWBY were to bite it at that point. Particularly Ruby herself.

I highly doubt that this is the Darkest Hour. The story is just beginning after all.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeYou can't compare it to ASOIAF, that is a lot more dark and killed off more likable characters both in real numbers and percentage of cast.
On the death note, which characters do you think are actually dead and which will get the Donut treatment? Phyrra at best is a force ghost, Penny will come back in some form, and Roman I can see popping up as a gag with a cameo with him as a bartender in some resort town.

Perhaps it's just a grimm reminder, but if they keep going through characters at this pace, there won't be anyone left besides team RWBY.
We're just getting started here though, and as I said, my assumption when comparing it to ASOIAF is that they're going to keep going through characters like this.

let us dispel once and for all this notion that Monty Oum planned only five seasons. It's more like 9-12, with 5 having some scripting/storyboarding done for them.
More the Tethercat Principle IMHO; we ended the season after a series of four episodes in which a recurring character died or was mutilated during each and every episode, for a total of a tragedy every third episode this season.

No, it really doesn't. It's just being pedantic at this point.
Saying everything went without a hitch isn't a big difference from saying everything went off without a hitch up until the last second where things become vague.
the important thing is everything we actually know the outcome of, and everything leading up to that.
