@that Pacific Rim reference: YES. That is all I want for Torchwick at this point. It'd fit, considering he's stuck around this long anyways.

but HOW?

[up]I know right?

Also, I'm now onto Volume 3 finally.

And I have to say, I like Neath's voice for Ren. Like... Monty's voice for Ren sounded a bit too high pitched to me. I mean, his tone and everything matches how Monty did it. All it sounds like now is that Ren's balls dropped [lol]

Honestly if Penny is rebuilt I could see her getting an entirely new weapons, either due to practicality (weapons that can't be turned against her) or trauma over the circumstances of her "death".

Yeah, that too.

I'm still impressed how much that artist's style matches Kristina Nguyen's.

My issue with Roman is that he "dies" barely after he reveal part of him that make him deep or a least more of what it seen: first he since to care for Neo and he is not with Cinder because he wants something but because he feel everything is going to ship so its better to be in the winning side.

Penny on the other hand have a more fitting end: crush by inder plan while revealing her nature(and Atlas involment) and causing distrust to EVERYONE around star the darker path in the show, they can bringing her back but it would be confusing and pointless consider how the status quo have changed(also it would rise too many questions)

Once again it only raises questions if you assume the worst of the entire adult cast.

[up][up] I'm still not sure why you're coming to that conclusion; of all the characters on the show, Penny would be the easiest to justify bringing Back from the Dead. Robots get dismembered, blown up, decapitated, and disintegrated all the time in fiction and get repaired or even rebuilt entirely. They're going to need to explain why that's the case with Penny if she's staying dead; presumably it would have something to do with aura.

For a few examples: C3PO and R2D2 multiple times over the course of Star Wars, that one android in Prometheus who got his head pulled off by the Engineer, a bunch of the androids in Dragon Ball, a billion times with Optimus Prime, like three times in Terminator, and so on.

Atlas is not going to just drop this project, and they're not going to antagonize their lead researcher by not letting him repair/rebuild his Replacement Goldfish.

[up]As do I.

However, I can really get on-board with almost every ship.

[up][up][up]Optimus Prime has only died about 10 times in all of the Transformers series combined.

Also, yes, I'm in agreement on Penny. Penny's likely not staying dead because we (likely) saw her father's reaction. Atlas wouldn't likely want to piss off someone who can build something like Penny by not allowing him to bring his daughter back.

[up] That's still approaching super hero comic levels of Death Is Cheap; I think he's had like what, one or two final deaths?

Edit: I wouldn't necessarily say that's the case; if Penny's aura came from say a daughter who was diagnosed with terminal leukemia, that's not something he can recreate. If it was made from whole cloth, then it shouldn't be a problem outside of certain...existential issues.

[up]Actually, he only dies once per series.

Remember: Most Transformer series aren't in the same continuity as each other.

Like, Gen I and Gen II he died once and came back. The Cyberton series was the same, and that one was THREE CARTOON SERIES. Also, everyone makes jokes of Optimus Prime, but Megatron does it more. Seriously. Hell, in the Live-Action series Megatron has died THREE TIMES and has come back from each. Only with the third death does he finally come back as Galvatron though.

[down]Well, Megatron clearly has Joker Immunity. Can't have one without the other.

One time Starscream died like 6 times. In the same episode.

Animated was a weird incarnation of Transformers.

"Atlas is not going to just drop this project, and they're not going to antagonize their lead researcher by not letting him repair/rebuild his Replacement Goldfish."

Actually it should be the oposite: Atlas a goverment should no care that scientist play daddy with their project since right now they would be facing a really ugly case of RP thanks to said "daughter" or his, so far Atlas is really having a hard time between their Robot turting against them and the other kindoms asking WHY and HOW Atlas robot who can pass as human and used Aura manage to sneak around in Vital tournament, that kind of thing dosent speak well at all.

So if anything, I can actually see Atlas deciding to shut down the whole thing in order to cover up.

[up][up]It could go all sorts of ways.

Predicting what a group of people will do is hard. They may go all solidarity, "Yeah, sure, she was a robot, but she was one of us!" Or cautious pragmatism, "Screw it, cut our losses!" Or wild recklnessness, "What we need is MORE robots!" Or outrage, "Eh!? She was a robot!? Well, screw this shit!" Or-

[up]Or Ironwood acts like as he's done in the past, which is "Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!". Remember, Ironwood is apparently the highest-ranking person in Atlas' military and government.

And from what we've seen, he's A Father to His Men, and Penny, despite being a gynoid, is one of his own.

[up][up]is true, but at least you can predit where this is going from, first of all Cinder manage to control the whole narrative of the deal, showing Pennys a shady movement from Atlas because...well, is a freaking human robot who can use Aura and fool everyone around, that alone should ring any bells to people in remant.

In fact while I dont thing they are going to show it, they should be clear rising of conspiracy theories regarding the kindoms after this, just look what happen after 9/11 and this look like a combination between that, wikileaks and boston bombigns, if something the rise of fringe nut should be matter of time

[up]Maybe, but how long he is going to stay in that job after the monumental faliure of what happen right now?

They might go, "Hey, here's a robot with a will of its own, can't be controlled!"

"What'ya mean controlled? You're lying! You attacked us!"

"Ya know what? Screw it, legion of super robots, now we're really attacking you!"

And Cinder be all like, "Yes, all according to keika-" And then a rain of Penny's lands on top of her.

They all say, "Saaaal-utations!"

[up][up] If Atlas is indeed a police state, then having robots that look just like humans would just help the central government tighten their grip on society; it's hard enough to organize an effective resistance to the state when any of your neighbors could be moles for The Party and the television watches you just as much as you watch it, and now they can make robots that look (and theoretically act) exactly like a person while remaining a Manchurian Agent.

I get the feeling penny was probably a military project also so I find it hard to believe that no one would not start in penny 2.0 or something similar. The project did not exactly fail it just ended up in a situation no one accounted for at that level of combat possibly. I would imagine it is a thing that requires more testing for the next one.

So those higher up would just further restrict what the penny 2.0 or whatever they name the next robot with Aura that is probably designed to replace human hunters. One setback would not result in the an entire project going down the drain.
