Again, do I need to bring up the fact that he was bleeding profusely from a pretty nasty injury?
Seriously, he got shot from Chewbacca's Bowcaster, which is routinely shown to send Stormtroopers hit by it flying.
By the time he was fighting Rey and Finn, he had already lost quite a bit of blood, and was still bleeding all over the place.
But yes, let's get back to RWBY please?
Oh, no need, because it doesn't make much difference. If he was shown easily overwhelming them despite the injury, it would have been a good show. The conclusion of the fight gives the feeling that he only got away because of the lucky ground breaking. He wouldn't stand a chance against Adam.
Getting back to RWBY, man, I actually didn't read the Ep 11 recap yet. Better get to that.

Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.

If the WOR hadn't commented on it, I'd assume the Grimm were just the personification of nature's wrath or something.
On a serious note, I do think the Grimm, Dust and Aura are linked. They're either a manifestation of a living planet via the use of Dust, or they're a manifestation of the darkest thoughts and emotions of humanity - nightmares given life by the interaction of Aura and Dust. In other words - humanity is creating the monsters that prey on them.
Can we not discuss Star Wars in this thread? I actually haven't seen the newest film. I would expect to face being spoiled if I visited the Star Wars threads or pages, but I wouldn't expect to be in the thread for an entirely unrelated show.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I tend to agree with the idea that, if it is all connected, that the grimm are humanity's "inner darkness" or whatever manifesting via aura/dust.
I don't buy the whole "they are the planet's antibodies because humans are horrible" theory. It doesn't really fit with any of the lore so far. The WOR segments have always emphasised humanity as struggling against impossible odds, rather than ravenous planet-defilers.

Yet, until now, we've never really seen humanity struggle that much; hell, right now the Grimm are being used against humans by other humans for a human cause. I'm frankly surprised the Kingdoms haven't begun to expand beyond their natural borders. Okay, Vale tried once, but I'm surprised they haven't succeeded.

Given what we see happens to a kingdom WITH natural barriers when defenses fail or, hell, just too many people are horrified all at the same time, it's no surprise that there's no way to expand outside the kingdoms.
A Zerg Rush is not dangerous because of individuals. It's dangerous because it doesn't run out. Or, in the case of the Grimm. Stop. Ever.
It's been strongly implied that the Grimm are 'the Zerg' and that no amount of military might has truly put a cage around them. The idea that "Grimm are pathetic" is only due to the show's fight scenes.

Yes, but Show, Don't Tell; they can tell me that the Grimm are dangerous and that it's like Attack on Titan where humanity is trapped behind their walls helpless against the monsters outside, but what they've shown is that the Grimm are easily slaughtered in mass by a trained fighter.

Busy getting their asses handed to them. As usual.
StarCraft does not treat its resident race of space elves too well. >_>

but HOW?Yes, but can they keep it up when the Grimm number in the hundreds, or thousands, or millions? If the Grimm have no limit to their species' size and can keep being mass-produced by the planet since they never stop coming?

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!

Adam is scary because he's abusive and a fucking terrorist. Kylo is scary because he's the mentally unstable kid who comes to school and starts shooting the place up.
