Just going to say: while I find the antics you guys initiate amusing, I find it really asinine how we can have 20-50 different things about RWBY that are irreversibly awesome
, and how everything in RWBY has to be some example of Fridge Brilliance or Fridge Horror (outright superceding Fridge Logic) because it was implied or deduced through fanon
, but moments of subjective terror are what you guys attack.
I've only messed with the Fridge page (seriously, check it), but really - all of this is YMMV. Sure, we'll all jump to add an "awesome moment" like "that time Blake back-flipped from the path of that missile, total CMOA", but apparently the "appearance of the Grimm isn't at all scary and if it is for anyone, they should be ashamed of themselves".
Oh yeah, let's cut down the Nightmare Fuel page. What's that? Another 15 subjectively awesome Blake moments? Sure, toss'em in. What's that? Ruby's hair and eye color indicates the next person on her team. OH MY GOD, BRILLIANT. ADD IT TO THE FRIDGE PAGE. What's this? Doesn't make any sense for a school to not conduct a thorough background check? You call that Fridge Logic? Ha. Chuck it into Fridge Horror, bish.
I find all of that really disgusting. EDIT: Hell, there are more people who edit RWBY's trope pages than post in this thread, so I might not be referring to any of you in particular. But really guys, why the urge to remove Nightmare Fuel entries and nothing else?

Honestly, they all need work since Trope Decay is a horrible thing. The Nightmare Fuel page is just a lot easier at the moment due to being very short and completely missing the point. Blake backflipping to dodge a missile is pretty cool, if not in comparison to the rest of the series, but everyone here agreed that most of the things listed in Nightmare Fuel really wouldn't induce nightmares.
If you guys want, we can work on the other subpages as well since they all probably need some work but Nightmare Fuel has a stricter definition than the Moments.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! From Nightmare Fuel page:
Considering the target demographics of this series, does that mean that it is nightmare fuel to nobody?
You know what?
Do we even need a separate page?
Why don't we just list these under YMMV page's Nightmare Fuel, until we actually have enough legitimate examples, like at least a dozen?
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing. There really isn't a target demographic for this show, I don't think. The guys over at RT just heard that a lot of parents were showing it to their kids and whatnot since it just happened to be kid friendly so they decided to keep it that way. The example is fine.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I find all of those pages to generally be "moment someone, somewhere, possibly while on drugs, found funny/awesome/sad/scary/noticeable" with no real qualifications for it other than that.
Check out my fanfiction! That would be hard to do since Nightmare Fuel has a stricter definition than any of the Moments. We also can't touch the Fridge pages.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Off the top of head head I can't actually think of anything that applies for Nightmare fuel that has occurred in RWBY so far.
I mean really, something like Ruby and Yang's almost death in back-story is the closest I can think of. But even then we know that they survive so it mitigates any potential horror to a degree.
I guess if we had something in the next episode with one of RWBY getting trapped away from the others at night, surrounded by Grimm as their ammunition runs out, that could apply. But I think for the moment RWBY has too much of an air of optimism for that kind of situation to occur. I mean we aren't watching Attack on Titan here

Finding something cool or funny tends to be less debatable than having to jump through hoops to think something is scary. Mind you, I'm not a fan of the entries in CMOA and CMOF that need a paragraph of explanation of the convoluted thought process to reach what one might consider a moment, but I digress.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.So, now we only got like 3 more episodes in this volume.
I'm curious at which tone this volume finale will be. Would it be all happy feel good like in Volume 1, or would it end in a massive shocking cliffhanger?
More importantly, when the HELL are we going to see the tournament? Seriously, is it going to happen within this volume, because it better start soon; it has been hyped up since ep 11! Come on!
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Even more importantly, when the HELL are we going to get more White Rose? Seriously, we haven't seen anything for them since V2C2.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Hang on, have we actually even saw any real Les Yay between those two? Between Blake and Yang, we've definitely seen some, but Ruby and Weiss? I don't recall any.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Nothing overtly explicit but there's a lot of little things that show those two have great chemistry (just skim through the heartwarming subpage and keep in mind what a more cliched show would do). Although that scene at the end of the card game and Ruby only being melodramatic over Weiss' "death" during the food fight are good candidates.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I wouldn't really call any of them to be candidates, seeing how they are mostly used for jokes.
Blake and Yang, on the other hand, had Les Yay-ish moment in a more serious context in V 2 E 6. Not that I really ship these two anyway; the only ones I'm shipping is Arkos, and I'm pretty sure everyone can see that there's a metric ton of romantic context going on between THOSE two.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Double post, because different topic.
Ooh, I just remembered!
You know how few pages ago we were talking about what would have happened if this thread was moved to the Anime & Manga subforum?
Well, amusingly enough, in Fanfiction.net, this series is already listed under Anime/Manga section. ![]()
Yeah, it's been that way for a while. Crunchyroll also has it listed as anime.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!

Aside from wings, colour, tail, walking upright, and a few other details, you mean?
Check out my fanfiction!
