Well given Blake suffers from bleh combat showings, I'm guessing they just need some more action scenes to give everyone their awesomeness. Ren just has been out of focus and Jaune's gonna turn out awesome if the foreshadowing is anything to go by. Merc and Roman and Sun have been relatively cool so far (Sun slightly less due to mech fight, but his initial showing was enough badass for two fights).
That or Roman's semblance is the ability to drain the awesomeness from other male characters.

,
Now, if Roman's ability is to drain out the awesomeness from other male characters, and yet he's still under the threat of being overshadowed by Neo...
Yup, Mercury, Adam, and soon Jaune are the only hope for male awesomeness. XD Well, there's also Ozpin and Qrow, but I don't think they will get their time anytime soon. XP
Also, allow me to talk about my OC fic here just for a bit (I already posted about my OC fic, but of another topic, in the fanfiction thread).
A member of Team SCFR, Cian Naikhan, uses armored legs and massive handguns. When he gets serious, he attaches the handguns to his armored legs and use the recoil to kick ever harder. The problem is, we already have like two canon kickers, Melanie and Mercury. To my defense, though, I wrote this fic, including the chapter where Cian displays his fighting style, all the way back in December 2013, months before Mercury's fighting style was revealed in volume 2 opening.
I have a feeling that it wouldn't stop people from calling Cian a Mercury rip-off. Well, the former's fighting style is heavily inspired by Capoeira, while Mercury is more based on Tae Kwon Do.
For those of you who don't know what Capoeira is like, here's a sample:
This guy also doesn't wear shirts. He always go shirtless.
I figured, eh, nobody bats an eye on Sun's outfit, so why not shirtlessness.
And the physique he has. He's actually considered quite muscular and handsome to many girls...
...until he opens his mouth.
Basically he's a manchild and egotistic douchebag mixed in one bag. That's why by the time story begins, he only has one friend, who constantly complains about having to put up with his shit.
My plan so far is that he's the heaviest and fastest hitter in the Team SCFR...and the biggest cause of them screwing up early missions.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Tony Jaa, at the peak of his physical conditions, would have actually been perfectly in place in RWBY.
Also, what would be Remnant's equivalent of Facebook?
Because I totally want to say this:
"In one scene, he dumped his leg in oil, lit it on fire, did a 360 off a truck and kicked a guy with it. For you ladies that don't know anything about finishing moves, that's like killing a guy so hard that four of his Facebook posts disappear."

Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing. You know what I wonder could be done on RWBY? Megafauna monsters. Like, giant glyptodonts or arsiniotheriums or man-eating ground sloths. Don't know how it could be explained, but I just think megafauna are underutilized as potential monsters.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatYes. Yes I did. Why? You also have a thing about gigantopithecuses or smilodons showing up?
EDIT: I meant like ice age mammals and that sort of thing. Tell me a terror bird like a moa wouldn't be a cool monster.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great@OC discussion: Eh, my OCs are much simpler.
They both fill the role of The Berserker pretty well, being straight up brawlers with power fists and jet boots, who fight for the sake of fighting, it doesn't matter who wins, and who have a semblance that let them function almost as if they are one person in two bodies.
The downside is, they've used their semblance for so long, it is distressing for them to separated from one another for extended lengths of time.

Combining RWBY and Attack on Titan? That's a stupid idea, too stupid that nobody has done it before and nobody ever will.
Totally.
Jokes aside, I've started to read/watch Attack On Titan and RWBY at pretty much the same time! So in my mind, those two series are always related.

Heck, fantasy in general could stand a bit of creative use of megafauna in their bestiaries. A lot of traditional fantasy monsters are pretty passe now, hydras, chimeras, manticores, minotaurs, pretty much everyone knows about them. And most of the megafauna looked even weirder than a lot of those monsters.
Skyrim had mammoths, so I guess that's a good start.

While everyone's playing Devil May Cry, he's playing Dark Souls.

That was pretty badass.
Not only that but he's playing it poorly.
