That only proves that humans didn't make them. They could still be supernatural or the doing of Abusive Precursors.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI don't know. I mean, it's something that hasn't been made by humans, and it has been existing for millennia. Doesn't that make it more or less part of the nature by now?
If I were a citizen in Remnant, I would probably just treat Grimms as natural. Natural disaster, that is.

I'd guess the Grimm are a part of nature. The story has set them up as this "primordial darkness" after all.
If the Grimm are "the result of losing one's soul", then I think of Kingdom Hearts. If the Grimm are the result of some crazy mad scientist, then I think of Attack on Titan. And

Hey guys, what do you think of a Killer Instinct x RWBY?
I've been having those thoughts for quite some time, and I'd made scenarios; like JNPR vs Spinal, or RWBY vs Sabrewulf. The need to write fanfics of them is high, but I have other stuff to continue~ T_T
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. From the Beacon Academy RP:
Frightful Four
A quartet of Grimm species that are most dangerous for their frightening levels of intelligence, up to and including the usage of tools, traps and strategies. What tends to cement these creatures in the conscious of people is that they look like men. The legends that surround them commonly state that they are the, or one of the, youngest races of Grimm, created by your choice of demonic figure to better countermand mankind.
Thankfully, each one is rare and prone to fratricide. Unfortunately though, although each separate race of the Four is hateful to its own kind, what truly seems to rope these four together is their frightening tendency to band together. Almost something like an adventuring party, or a team of hunters, will form, each member of different race of the Frightful Four.
Wendigo
Appearance
◊, at least of a young wendigo.
The most bestial looking of the Frightful Four, those that only see its anatomy, particularly its legs, are surprised to learn what power makes it stand out from its 'brothers'. It is fast, is what it is. And it has the endurance to maintain that speed. Also freakishly strong, but that's no surprise. It moves like a bullet train and hits like one too.
It weakness, however, is how incredibly fragile it is. The wendigo is constantly on the edge of starvation, unable to keep up with its body's own hyper fast metabolism. It's also skin and bones and it will not survive being hit hard enough. It relies on its speed and guile to see it through.
Like almost all of the Frightful Four, it is prone to self-mutilation in its later life in the name of tool using. When they have grown big enough, the wendigo will rip of its horns to use them as a pair of blades.
Black Knight
A name of irony, as the giant man-shaped monsters is covered in a thick exoskeleton of its overgrown bones, which are, of course, white. It looks almost like some kind of battle mech, albeit one specialized in close combat. Where the wendigo is the backstabbing rogue of the quartet, the black knight is its tank. Half stone wall, half giant sword, it is horrendously strong and painfully hard to hurt.
It is also as slow as all get out. The way its bones grow seems to actually interfere with its movement, but mostly its the weight. Since all that weight is mostly focused on its legs, it's its locomotive speed that suffers the most. Upper body wise, it seems to do just fine, actually able to turn a full 180-degrees at the waist and do so at the drop of a dime, and swings its arms like they were weightless.
In its youth, two particular bone growths protrude from its wrist. One is a long straight claw, the other some kind of shell-like plate. In its elder years, it will breaks these off and fashion handles into them, allowing it to wield a sword and shield with greater dexterity.
Koschei
The first of the four was fast, strong but fragile. The second, strong, sturdy but slow. The koschei breaks this pattern by being both slow and weak, although it is rather sturdy. In defense of its toddling speed, although nowhere as slow as a black knight, it really doesn't need to go anywhere quickly because lasers. Where do the lasers come from? Dust. Where does a Grimm get the aura for this dust? An egg.
Shortly after its genesis, a koschei will seek out a nest with fertilized eggs. It seems to prefer bird eggs but by no means is limited. It will steal one of these eggs, damn whatever the parent beast has to say about this. It will take this eggs and impale it on a needle stick out the back of its neck. The unborn creature inside will never die as long the koschei lives, but it will never hatch either, as the Grimm hijacks it biology for its own purposes.
Eggs and needle will grow, until the egg is the size of an ostrich's and the needle sprouted out the bottom like a tree. By whatever means, the koschei will have collected dust, implanting it on the outside of the egg, creating a gem encrusted shell. Through the unborn fetus is commands, it will harness the dust to whatever effect its capable of learning to achieve, which are many. In its elder years, it will break of the 'needle' which has grown to such size it can be used as a proper wizard's staff.
A koschei resembles a skeleton with its leather skin stretched over it. It appears to dress in robes, but these are just the flaps of its own loose skin. It looks like a stiff breeze could knock it down. It is a very physically weak creature, with a whole lot of necrotic flesh. On the flipside, so much of its body is dead flesh, hitting anything vital is an exercise in frustration as it shrugs of blows that look like they should be lethal. This has earned the whole species the nickname "The Immortals".
Mephisto
The last of the Frightful Four, and the most terrifying. A mephisto is as weak as a koschei and as fragile as a wendigo. Psychologically, it seems incapable of moving at anything other than a sedate pace, such that a black knight and a mephisto could walk comfortably side by side. However, it is with good reason its whole kind have earned the nicknames "The Princes Of Darkness".
The most human looking of the Frightful Four, it is a towering androgynous and sexless man of pitch black ebony skin with a crown of white horns curling all around its bald temple. Uniquely, it will actually wear clothes, although it has no anatomy to really cover up. These are more accessories, human skulls and the hides of other Grimm. Unlike the other Four, the mephisto will not practice self-mutilation, taking greater care in the mutilation of others.
This species' frightening power is its telepathy. It can even speak to men mind to mind, although it will do so sparingly and the words they hear are actually how that person translates the impressions the mephisto sends. More commonly, it will use its power to create a hive mind of fellow Grimm. Whatever intelligence each member has will be added to the mephisto's which will then be shared with all the rest. They will form a pack, tribe and/or cult of enthralled Grimm.
A mephisto's greatest ambition is to find a wendigo, a koschei and a black knight and complete the quartet. The four seem to sync very well, increasing the mephisto's telepathic power exponentially. Mephisto are very rare, more so than the rest of the Four. Namely because of its arrogance and pride. One, mephisto are even more fratricidal than the rest of the Four, unable to stand the presence of an 'equal', deliberately seeking out others of their kind and leading their thralls to war, whittling down their number. Two, young mephisto will often attempt to enthrall powerful Grimm beyond their ability and be killed for it. Three, mephisto cannot help revealing themselves to humans and are hunted down with extreme prejudice by those who know the danger they represent.
The oldest mephisto are often very cunning and have amassed a great horde. The most infamous individual is the mephisto codenamed Faust. During the last Great War, Faust amassed a great enough army to wash away one of the nations of man whilst they distracted themselves killing each other. An alliance of faunus and humans that had refused to be involved in the war banded together to fight against Faust in a series of battles collectively known as the Faustian War. Faust was slain, its armies of monsters scattered.
The new World of Remnant video appears to be live for everyone. Since it's just background data and the videos only 1 1/2 minutes long, I won't bother with spoiler tags:
- Four established Kingdoms, as confirmed; Atlas, Mistral, Vacuo and Vale.
- Each kingdom has a "Governing Council" and a military, with some maintaining a standing army and some not (with the implication that armies are for dealing with other nations, as opposed to Grimm). It's also stated that those that don't "call on" their citizens as needed, implying all the kingdoms practise conscription.
- Nomads and smaller villages exist outside the kingdoms but tend to have high turnover.
- Huntsmen/tresses and Huntsmen Academies are separate from the military, and deal exclusively protecting the kingdoms from the environment.
- The kingdoms are buggered if they ever go to war. And I LIIIIIIIIED~!
