And to remember this I just forgot a happy childhood memory. Thank you!

Speaking of fan estimations... the Fridge Brilliance page bothers me:
- The academies that train people to fight the monsters threatening civilization are called "Signal", "Beacon," and "Sanctum", which reference the "points of light" idea of an Adventure-Friendly World where isolated cities fight against the darkness.
- The lyric "And victory is in a simple soul" takes on an additionally optimistic tone after having learned that the Grimm are The Soulless, lacking even the simplest of souls and, consequently, victory. And given Episode 1's narration which ends with Ozpin commenting that perhaps the answer lies with a simpler, more innocent soul. Aura, used in combat, draws power from your soul. Victory is LITERALLY dependent on your soul, not just metaphorically.
- Why did Roman run from robbery at first when it's fully possible he could have taken Ruby in a straight fight? Because there was no point in doing so. The container full of dust was lost in the action, leaving him with no reason to do anything but simply book it.
- So we know that Ruby associates better with weapons than with people, and what's her gun's last name again? That's right, she named Crescent Rose like a family member.
- Even when Jaune stood up to him, Cardin could have continued to blackmail him but didn't. It could be out of respect for saving his life... But there's also the fact that if he made good on his threat, he'd probably be in just as much trouble for the blackmail (and academic dishonesty - plagiarism is a Serious Business for educational institutions - and possibly failing to report Jaune's false credentials). Him threatening to turn Jaune in was essentially a bluff by that point.
- Weiss' Fantastic Racism is far more reasonable than that of Team CRDL or Roman Torchwick, and she shows in a subtle but important way: what she calls the Faunus. While others have referred to Faunus as "animals," or "mutts" or "freaks," as derogatory statements to their animal appendages, Weiss never takes this path. Instead, Weiss refers to Faunus (especially those in the White Fang) as "scoundrels," or when referring to the stowaway Sun Wukong, "riff-raff," or "rapscallion" (which, to be fair to Weiss, is not entirely inaccurate). While these can still be considered discriminatory, as pointed out by Blake, it should be noted that the names Weiss calls Faunus are defined by their behavior, not their appearance. In the spirit of Martin Luther King's words, Weiss was the type who would judge a person not by whether or not they had animal-like characteristics, but by the content of their character. This is supported by the fact that she decides to accept the fact that Blake is a Faunus and think of the team first and foremost.
Do any of these sound like "brilliant deductions" that cause a viewer's opinion of a scene to flip on its head, and does it seem like the creators might have intended these interpretations?

Since when was Fridge Brilliance meant to be a brilliant deduction or actually be intentional? I thought it was just meant to be a case where you can come up with a reasonable explanation for a plot hole or when some small detail actually made quite a bit of sense.
Speaking of which behold some incredible news!
Only of more news to come, mind you.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerWell maybe not a brilliant deduction, but a deduction better than "why did Roman run away? Because there was no point." I mean if that's the bar, should we also add how Ruby ran away from the Deathstalker because it was too tough for her?
The trope doesn't describe much, just "you had an epiphany, what was once a hated moment has become one of your favorites". It just seems like we should add entries with a bit more "oomph" to them.

Can't tell what Monty's on, but I want some.

Well, a good bit of FB should stand on its own (something which makes sense doesn't need evidence to back it up, after all).
...then again, speaking as the one who added the blackmail related one, maybe I should have put it on the WMG page....
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer

Thursday was when the episodes came out, so it would make sense.
