Batman, assuming he had time to prepare.
Galactus makes an appearance in JLA/Avengers, confronting Krona over his actions and calling the Oan a madman. Krona demands Galactus share his knowledge about the creation of the universe, but Galactus contemptuously dismisses Krona. The next time we see Galactus, Krona is using his hollowed-out corpse as a base of operations.
I imagine Mogo could give Galactus a run for his money.
Fear is a superpower. We also need to consider whether it's a hungry Galactus or a recently-fed Galactus. Beta Ray Bill was almost able to kill Galactus by starving him to death.
Thanos could probably come up with a way to kill Galactus, if he ever needed to. Not that Thanos would be likely to try.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Besides cosmic beings? Are we talking Marvel characters only?
Odin and Surtur(not easily), Professor X (not easily but he has done it by channeling the mental energy of a Skrull planet's population into a big telepathic barrage), as Galactus appears to any who observe him as their own species he is especially screwed against any spirit of vengeance (as Ghost Rider demonstrated), Dr. Strange could take him, Archangel Uriel perhaps?
Groups could do it, such as his heralds working together(ha!) against him. Without Odin, a group of lesser Aesir could still zerg rush him (Thor, The Warriors Three, Loki, Amora, Hemdal, Hoenir, Tyr, Sif, Brunhilde, the Valkyries then enhejar, ect), the guardians of the galaxy perhaps or maybe the infinity watch, a large enough group of Technarchs?

Modified Ura-nage, Torture Rack
I think almost all of those would require that Galactus already be weak from hunger. Especially Xavier. He gave Galactus pause, but didn't actually beat him. Galactus and Odin had a major battle, and it ultimately stalemated. A Ll of the other Asgardians working together, without Odin, would be swept aside by Galactus with contemptuous ease, unless he was already on his last legs. The Guardians and Watch together would barely even be a distraction to him. I see no reason why a Spirit of Vengeance would be safe. Galactus could annihilate one with a stray thought, unless you've got a comic that says otherwise. And Dr. Strange could barely annoy him.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Galactus has had major Villain Decay considering that he's a being old as the universe itself repeatedly being outsmarted by some stretchy dude in his early forties. I remember in Annihilation there were two giants like Galactus who took him down and Nova was all like, "Well, we're screwed."
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]Dr. Strange already beat Galactus and would have killed him if not for Richards, which is why he decided he would no longer try to eat Earth (Reed Richard's kindness, not Strange's eye of Agamotto). Strange may not be able to beat him anymore since he gave up being Sorcerer supreme but back in the day Deus ex Machina was Strange's super power.
The spirits of vengeance have the Penance stare, which makes the victim experience all the pain they caused others and Galactus eats planets. Furthermore he will always be perceived with as many eyes as the spirit of vengeance and since most of them do not even have eyelids closing them is not an option...
The Magus can supposedly break a star in two (Do not ask me how that works unless they mean a white dwarf or something), sure all the other Technarchs are by definition weaker than the Magus king but I imagine all of them together would be pretty hard to beat.
Uri-El confronted Mephisto in his own realm where he is supposed to be Galactus/Eternity level to take back Noble Kale's soul and Mephisto's reaction was to try and negotiate for less severe contract terms rather than force him out. Just one angel of death he appoints is enough to beat both Mephisto and Blackheart in their own realm at the same time.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackTo be honest, I don't think anyone who's at Marvel Earth level should ever be able to take Galactus without the Ultimate Nullifier. That means you, Thor.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]"Dr. Strange already beat Galactus"
Whoever wrote that story is fucking retarded. Yes, Dr. Strange is powerful. No frigging way he should be able to beat Galactus, unless Galactus is already close to death from hunger.
"The Penance Stare has been shown to utterly ruin Galactus regardless of how strong he is at the time."
Also blindingly retarded. Galactus is beyond morality. He's beyond feelings of remorse. There should be nothing for the Penance Stare to work on. Even if there were, Galactus is a cosmic being - using the Penance Stare on him should work about as well as harsh words. He should just completely ignore it. What's more, no Spirit of Vengeance should ever even get close enough to use it. He can annihilate them with a thought.
This is a being who eats planets. He's wiped out entire fleets with a gesture. He's virtually a god. For anyone with less than All-Father-level power to even challenge him is simply stupid, awful writing.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. Also, you'd think more of the Marvel Universe would be a bit more concerned about Galactus' existence. Espescially S.W.O.R.D. Yeah, Galactus has repeatedly said that he won't eat Earth but there are a helluva lot more inhabitable/populated worlds that he is destroying. And no one seems to care.
Not even Quasar or the Skrulls or Kree or anybody

If Jack Kirby had drawn a comic where someone beat Galactus, I would accept that, because Kirby (and Lee, but mostly Kirby, when it comes to Galactus) came up with his power levels in the first place. Whoever came up with the idea that fucking Ghost Rider, of all characters, should pose any sort of threat at all to the guy who eats planets was simply wrong.
And oh hey, a quick Google search reveals it happened on the Fantastic Four cartoon. Not the comics.
So no, I remain convinced that, in the comics, if Ghost Rider tried to use his Penance Stare on Galactus, he'd quickly cease to exist.
And I think that in any comic that isn't badly written, Dr. Strange, by himself, wouldn't stand a chance against even a weakened Galactus, either.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Hardly the kind of being to flinch when given a stern look.
EDIT: Unless it's Squirrel Girl giving the stern look. Then he'd be screwed.

Fear is a superpower.![]()
Well, naturally. Squirrel Girl can beat anyone. She even beat Ego, who's roughly equal to Galactus in sheer power.
Look, I'm a casual comics fan. I may not be the most well versed in superhero lore, but I do know one thing.
A skeleton on fire while riding a motorcycle defeating a planet-eating god by glaring at him is badass in ridiculous ways, and no amount of canon can change that.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!

So, for all Marvel claims that Galactus isn't evil or anything; he certainly has come into conflict with much of the Marvel Universe. Who, besides cosmic beings like the Watcher or The One Above All could actually beat Galactus?
