This thread is for questions regarding creating or cutting pages in Franchise/ namespace and Franchise Index.
As a reminder, being a Series Franchise doesn't mean a Work can have a Franchise/ page. For that it needs existing (not Red Link) and connected (official releases for the same trademark) Work pages in 3 different Mediums, not 3 pages for the same property in general.
If it doesn't meet those criteria, the section about related releases can be on page of the first installment.
For instance, Video Games. Take a look at this page. I guarantee that we don't even have that many listed in the Franchise namespace.
Also, I set up Franchise pages for Duke Nukem, Deer Hunter, and Grand Theft Auto.
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to list multiple games in a Franchise page as opposed to a Video Game page?

- WesternAnimation.Madagascar — Film
- Madagascar —Video Game
- WesternAnimation.The Penguins Of Madagascar — Show
Or does it not count? Two are under Western Animation, but one is categorized under film because there's no Animated Film namespace.
I think it should count as three mediums (bias: I think we should have an Animated Film namespace).
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Yeah, Madagascar could have a franchise page.
Keet cleanupadded Franchise.Art The Clown to the list since it has only Film/ pages so far
Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryIs Franchise.Spyro The Dragon franchise worthy?
- I think "Skylanders" should be its own thing and not count for "Spyro"...
So, yeah, not a Franchise.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Skylanders and Spyro should be considered separate works.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Spyro is a major character in the tie-in material to Skylanders, though.
Skylanders began as a Spyro spinoff, but it's since become something unrelated.
Also, what's the third medium here? Even if we count Skylanders as part of the Spyro franchise (which I... don't), I'm only seeing Video Game/ and Western Animation/
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. There’s a Skylanders comic book. Don’t know if we have a page for it.
SoundCloudWe don't, so it's irrelevant.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.It might have been mentioned before but I dont think Franchise.Ys should be in that namespace. The few works that do have their own pages are all from the video game series. (On an unrelated note, I am going to have to try splitting the games off into their own pages soon)

Macron's notesadded Franchise.Teenage Wastelands to the list since it has only Literature/ pages so far
Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryFranchise.Dangan Ronpa... I see there's Video Games and Manga, but what else?
Also, where do I folderize it?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576There's also LightNovel/ and Anime/, so it's valid. As for where to folderise it, please be a little more specific.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)If I have an entry for the whole Franchise, like my "World's Best" Character TLP, what folder do I put it in?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I am in the process of moving Franchise.Ys back to VideoGame.Ys because the manga and novels and ovas dont have their own pages.

Macron's notesAre subseries worthy of their own franchise pages?
Subseries in question: Sonic Boom. We've got three video games, a TV series, and a comic.
Franchise.Sonic Boom currently redirects to the video game page.
- Well, Franchise.Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy is one, among other Franchises in the Franchise Index...
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Ah, yeah, I forgot about that one.
Okay, I'll get to making the Franchise page for Sonic Boom... eventually. I got a few other things I want to do first.
The Karate Kid needs a franchise page - it's got Film, Video Game, Western Animation, and Series.
Gamera also needs one - it's got Film, Comic Book, and Video Game.
Star Wars: The High Republic is a franchise page for an unreleased work.
Probably best for the Unreleased works thread to handle it (please mention that the page only covers two mediums, too).

... care to explain? Because I'm not seeing anything but Western Animation/ pages.
