Creating Franchise Pages Wherever Appropriate

The Franchise.Evillious Chronicles franchise only has pages for Light Novels, but for the life of me I can't figure out what namespace to move it to.

Franchise.Silverwing was created recently with only a literature and westernani ation page.

The creator also made a franchise for a series of webvideos that was cutlisted so they might not be getting the message.

Evillious Chronicles look to originate in the Music medium, so a move to Music.Evillious Chronicles would seem appropriate to me.

Silver wing is a stub with bad linking habits, too. They don't seem familiar with general editing practices, so you may want to alert the mods (post in ATT or holler either post in this thread).

There is a 32 post topic in ATT about him and his poor editing habits. Mods don't seem to care.

EDIT: He's since been suspended. That Franchise/ page can be added to the cutlist.

Franchise.Tsukipro was recently created with no other pages or even tropes

Franchise.Tintin should have a page in the ComicBook/ namespace, but doesn't.

Franchise.Unbreakable was created today for the three movies and no other media

Franchise.Disney Animated Canon, Franchise.Disney Channel Animated Universe, and Franchise.Disney Channel Live Action Universe are all single medium franchise pages.

Just cutlisted Franchise.Blade Runner 2049 and Franchise.Blade Runner Shorts.

They're both redirects for Franchise.Blade Runner and had no wicks, and those individual entries do not qualify for a Franchise/ page.

JWEdwards has created several franchise pages without the needed content or subpages including Franchise.Dragon Mages, Franchise.Fae Of Avalon, Franchise.The Dynamite Twins And Friends and Franchise.Color World Universe

I sent them a custom and premade message.

Did you send him anything about Auto Erotic Troping? Because his creator page is more akin to a Tropers/ page and he adds YMMV items to his own works.

I didn't send one, I didn't think to check the creator page

Franchise.Dora The Explorer was created today with only WesternAnimation/ pages

Did you send him anything about the misuse of Franchise/?

If so, go ahead and cutlist those pages.

Throw Dora onto the cutlist. It's nothing but a list of the books, which isn't what this site is for.

~JWEdwards has edited the Multimedia Franchise pages without adding sufficient media pages, so this post is sending an additional PM.

The Dora lists looks like they could be moved to the appropriate media pages and index as redlinks to encourage more troping. THEN the Multimedia Franchise page could be cut.

Just a reminder that we've been keeping notes on Sandbox.Franchise Namespace Correction. Adding your examples there will help keep them from falling through the cracks.

Given the lack of response from JW Edwards, I'd say it's fine to cutlist all of those pages. I'm suspending them to prevent more abuse.

So here's the listing of pages he's made I can find. Most of them have obvious solutions I will implement, but I'd appreciate feedback on the ones in bold:

  • Now it's fine, I cleaned up the Auto Erotic Troping in the "Tropes about the author" section. Could probably stand to clean up some of the stuff in the description.
• Franchise.Dragon Mages
  • Stub in the Franchise/ namespace for a work that doesn't seem to exist. Will cutlist.
• Franchise.Fae Of Avalon
  • Ditto. Will cutlist.
• Literature.Bloody Cutlass
  • Probably should clean up the description that's written way too much like it was done by the author (because it has), but seems fine enough otherwise.
• WesternAnimation.Bloody Cutlass
  • ... however this is an unindexed stub of an animated adaptation that doesn't exist and if it did, would likely have to be in Web Animation. Will cutlist.
• WesternAnimation.Space Pirate Captain Mac Taggart
  • Ditto this. Will cutlist.
• Franchise.Tails From The Federation
  • Not a stub, but a Franchise/ page with two works in the same medium. Move to literature or just cut?
• Webcomic.Automatica
  • Stub for a work that doesn't exist. Will cutlist.
• Webcomic.Bunny And Bear
  • Fine.
• Webcomic.The Dynamite Twins And Friends
  • Like Bloody Cutlass, will probably redo the description to be less "written by the author"-y
• Franchise.The Dynamite Twins And Friends
  • Franchise stub for works in two namespaces. Will cutlist. Especially because of the following...
• ComicBook.The Dynamite Twins My House Is Your House, ComicBook.The Dynamite Twins Lost Vegas, ComicBook.The Dynamite Twins Buck Wild Bash
  • These are the only works in the second namespace in the above Franchise/ page. They're all unreleased works and look like they'd be Web Comic/ anyway. Cutlist?
• Creator.Majestic Blue Studios
  • This just seems... unnecessary since Creator.Jordann William Edwards exists and acts as a hub for everything here (that actually exists, at least). Cutlst?
• Franchise.Color World Universe
  • Franchise page for... what boils down to two webcomics? The description rambles on about behind-the-scenes stuff no one cares about and the examples aren't great. Cutlist?
• Webcomic.His 7 Valkyries
  • Non-stub page for currently non-existent work that JW Edwards is "executive producing." Move to Darth Wiki?

Most of your questions can be answered with yes/no, so here's a yes to agree with them.

With regards to Tails From The Federation, assuming the work exists I would prefer to see it moved to the Literature namespace.

Cutlisted the obvious ones and the Comic Book trio, which in hindsight was an obvious cut and cleaned up the descriptions of the ones I said I would.

I'll wait for more consensus before anything else.

Also:

• Skum-Faux: Fictional band, also made using a hyphen which is not allowed so the page is getting cut regardless. The question is remake in Darth Wiki or just cut? I lean towards just cut, but... yeah.

Bump for more opinions.

Franchise.Cloverfield was recently created despite it only having two works (Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane), both in the same namespace - Film.

Cut list it. Nothing in there is actually related to the franchise as a whole, just Film.Cloverfield.

Any comments on my last posts? I'm probably just going to go through with my points (generally just cutting, really) if no one objects.

EDIT: Since JWEdwards cannot help but ban-evade to edit these pages I'm sort of wondering if we should just cutlist his creator and work pages to prevent his, ah, self-congratulatory troping. Seriously, every one of his pages seems to either be preening with pride or importing drama. EDIT EDIT: Per mod approval, cutlisting improper Franchise/ pages. Still need opinions on Music.Skum-Faux, Creator.Majestic Blue Studios, and Webcomic.His 7 Valkyries.

Franchise.Greys Anatomy was created with only two mediums represented: television and video games.

Franchise.Ys only covers a video game series. Manga, an OVA, and novels do exist, but they don't seem to be covered on the page and there aren't any pages for them to justify the use of the Franchise namespace.
